Infantry School, Time of Reading Bldg. I 3:45 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern War Time. Ft. Benning, Georgia.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of Lt. [984], in Bldg. I, Infantry School, Ft. Benning, Georgia, studying Motor Maintenance. The entity seeks information, advice and guidance as to his physical, mental and spiritual welfare - especially with reference to his Army connections at this time. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, Lt. [984].

3. In the physical forces of the body, as well as related to the application of self physically, mentally, spiritually, materially - we find that these in the present are rather tied together. The general physical forces are very good. Some precautions should be taken, dependent - of course - upon choices that are to be made in the selective activities as may be chosen - relative to the general system in regard to the sensory forces.

4. If the body would have the thorough rub-down by those associated or connected with the activities in the Fort, this would be more beneficial to the body in correcting those conditions that give rise to some of the troubles - in those tendencies for irritation in the sensory forces, as well as for making better assimilations.

5. In choosing the activities - we find that while these are not altogether in keeping with those conditions as would be for those outlets for the better abilities of the body, those things as would have to do with the communications, or radio, as may be a selective portion of the active service of the body, would be nearer in keeping with the abilities now and after the completion of those conditions that are before the body.

6. Then, as we find, with physical corrections, and with those opportunities for the selecting of activities, we

984-5 Page 2

would choose - or ask for - the radio activity AND all forms of such communications, but especially the radio work; as this will give the entity opportunities for a better outlet.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Regarding the health: How should I strengthen my eyes? Do I need glasses now? (A) As we have indicated, there are some hindrances from some knocks or shocks. And if there will be the massage or corrections between the shoulders, and from there to the head, we will find that most of this would disappear; and there would not be the necessity for the use of glasses. Otherwise, with the close work, or where there is not sufficient light, it will require the use of glasses - unless there are such conditions carried out.

9. (Q) How are these corrections to be made? (A) As just given, there are masseurs or correctors associated with this particular group - outfit. These would make corrections that would be helpful, and be much more so than any mechanical or medicinal or other form of treatment.

10. (Q) What should I do for dandruff and falling hair? (A) Use Fitch's Dandruff Remover.

11. (Q) To cure Athlete's Foot? (A) As we find, the best that may be had of this nature is that we have indicated oft - the preparation made by those in the vicinity of Roanoke, Virginia. [2/5/43 GD's note: Ray's Prescription for Athlete's Foot (75 cents?), sold by Ray Chemical Co., 1001 3rd St., Roanoke, Va.]

12. (Q) Any specific warnings that I should be mindful of during these periods? (A) As we find, as an individual keeps his mental attitude and spiritual purposes in keeping with those things for constructive forces, he may bring that into his experience that will be of the more helpful nature. Let each individual in these positions as this entity so keep that ideal and that purpose for which he presents self, as one in defense of an ideal, as to be worthy to carry on when those unpleasantnesses of destructive forces are ended; and the entity may be among those selected, chosen by the divine forces, for carrying on. And it will be found that there need be little fear, but the expectancy for greater activity to make the world a better place for man's indwelling, and the greater opportunities for expression of glorifying the divine or spiritual truths.

13. (Q) Any hobbies I should take up? (A) Little time for hobbies may be expected in this next selected training, but that as would have to do with

984-5 Page 3

recording of any nature - whether these be written or upon film or upon plates - would or might be the hobby for the body.

14. (Q) Regarding the work: What Post should I go to when I leave Benning? (A) This will have to be as to whether there is the granting of those choices as will be given the body. While those in the present have to do with motors of a little different nature, these are the same characteristics; and if the entity will enter into that as an experience as a ship's radio operator, AFTER these activities, see, and for any portion of such activities in the present and during those periods of service, these will be more in line with those opportunities and outlets for the entity.

15. (Q) Should I volunteer for foreign service? (A) When such training in the radio schools is completed, or during such activity, this might be indicated.

16. (Q) Do you mean when I finish this present course I am taking, I should ask for a course in communications and radio? (A) Ask for a course in communications and radio, AS an operator in same.

17. (Q) Must I expect overseas duty? (A) This depends a great deal upon many things. As we find, if there is the keeping in line with the present conditions, there will be overseas going - little duty.

18. (Q) Have I made a mistake in learning Motor Maintenance and not continuing on in radio? (A) Motor Maintenance is a part of radio, if it is turned to that use. WE would make the selection for MORE activity in radio, if there would be carried through the better things for the entity and its abilities.

19. (Q) How long must I expect to stay in the Army? (A) In the Army or in the services as these will be - it will be some eighteen months to two years yet. But it will be over before that period, so far as fighting is concerned.

20. (Q) What do I lack as an officer, either mentally or spiritually, and how should I correct same? (A) Nothing lacking - only the application of the abilities. But DO take more communications in radio.

21. (Q) Can what I have to do now fit into what I should do when returning to civilian life? (A) As has been indicated, if these are made the best opportunities, then the radio activity in the shippings would be the better service after - and thus will certainly be in keeping with the activity indicated for the entity in the present.

If there are, through the choices of the superiors, owing to the training, the determinations to keep in the Maintenance of motor divisions or motor portions of activity, do not let this become a stumbling block, but DO maintain that you want more service in radio.

22. (Q) You do not recommend the Parachute Troops? (A) Not for this entity would it accomplish the most.

23. (Q) I belong to the Book of the Month Club. Should I order any special line of reading, or should my reading be general? (A) In the main this is a very well diversified character of selection of reading. And as the opportunity is given from month to month to make selections, then take advantage of same. Use the intuition to decide whether this or that is to be left out, when the opportunity is given. This diversifies the reading, then, very, very well.

24. (Q) Any other advice that would be helpful to the entity at this time? (A) Keep in those attitudes of being constructive and helpful, ever. And remember the purposes and ideals.
