As before 10:30 A.M. Time of Reading this morning, 3:30 to 3:50 P. M. Room 1276, Pennsylvania Hotel, New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have had this ROOM before!

2. We have the body here, [994] nine o'clock.

3. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of this body that may be corrected. And through the correction there would be brought about a greater activity, making for the relief of many of those conditions that disturb the body.

4. These, as we find, are rather a combination - or compilation of disturbances. Some arise from the effects of other disturbing condition, and at times are to such an extent disturbing as to require that applications be made for effects rather than for those things that are sources or the basis of disturbing conditions.

5. As we will see, these will be indicated in their various forms in giving a description or outline of disturbing forces in this body, [994] we are speaking of.

6. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find in the present there is a combination of effects. Some cold makes for an accentuation, thus causing a greater disturbance in the throat, the bronchi and in the soft tissue of the nose and nasal passages; producing some disturbance in the antrum, and headache.

7. Also we find that the lack of the QUANTITY of the blood supply makes for a quick pulsation. Thus oftentimes there is the inability of the blood stream to meet all the emergencies that arise in a very active life. So, we find there are periods when there is the lack of eliminations nominally through the alimentary canal; there are times when in various portions of the body there are the effects of toxic forces being left as dross in the muscle and tissue.

8. Hence we have at times pains through the shoulders, along

994-2 Page 2

portions of the spine, between the shoulder and the other shoulder; and these become disturbing conditions.

9. As in the present, there is an achey, stretchy feeling; and some disturbance through the alimentary canal.

10. IN THE NERVOUS FORCES OF THE BODY, we find pressures are produced in the ganglia along the spinal system, through the imposition - as it were - of these disturbing factors drawing on certain portions of the body. Thus there is an engorgement or a form of lesion in the lumbar, where at times there is a heaviness across the lower portion of the spine; making for a heaviness through the lower extremities, by the very pressure upon the nerve ganglia in the axis of the lumbar centers.

11. Also at times, when there has been a particular disturbance through the eliminations - or the alimentary canal, the kidneys make for a disturbance; through the very pressures that are caused - as in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, nerve pressure from ganglia that HINDER the perfect flow of the blood supply AND nerve energy through the throat, the head and the organs of the head.

12. Thus we have at times roaring in the ear, dryness in the throat, tendency for the nasal passages to become stopped.

13. These are the effects, then, of the disturbances, that show the quick pulsation; and the heart's activity becomes an abnormal condition in the metabolism of the system itself.

14. These are affectations and disturbances through both the sympathetic AND cerebrospinal systems.

15. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES OF THE BODY, brain forces are very good.

16. Those activities in the sensory forces, as indicated, become disturbed by the pressures in the upper dorsal and through the cervical to the sensory organism.

17. Hence the eyes, the ears, the nose, the throat (or taste), become involved in the conditions.

18. These are reflex to the organs, and only SYMPATHETICALLY are the organs THEMSELVES impaired or disturbed. Or, if there would be brought about a normal flow of the circulation, all of these conditions would be materially sided.

19. The throat, the bronchi, the lungs, the larynx, all of these show the effect in the present of congestion. Though these are acute conditions in part, there are also those tendencies for these to be disturbed by irritations produced through the lack of abundant red blood and leukocytes in the circulation itself; owing to those disturbances in same as indicated, also the disturbance in the heart's activity

994-2 Page 3

itself.

20. In the digestive forces of the body we find rather a SYMPATHETIC or a nervous digestive force. At times those things that would agree with the body in its diet at others rather upset the body. While there is the NEED and the necessity for plenty of an activity to make for proper fermentation, the body would find that less of those alcoholic productive forces in the body would be more beneficial TO the body. Not that there is not to be used these at times, but this strain as produced upon the hepatic circulation (that is, the liver and the kidneys) in its combined functioning through the ducts and glands that function WITH that system in the production of the necessary influences for proper assimilation becomes disturbing, when there's an overindulgence - or the combining of same with FOOD values that make for the distressed conditions.

21. Hence we find the liver and the gall duct at times forming a SYMPATHETIC condition that prevents the eliminations being carried on properly. At others we find an excess activity to the kidneys and the bladder itself, as to make for irritations; thus an extra quantity of sediments is to be thrown off as a portion of the activity of these organs.

22. We find that these would all correct themselves in the main, if there would be those applications made to relieve these stresses and strains upon the whole general physical forces, and the removal of those pressures; so as to produce the tendencies for a near normalcy for the body.

23. FIRST, then, IN MAKING THE APPLICATIONS:

24. We would use in a CONSISTENT but in a moderate manner those properties combined in ALCAROID. Preferably these would be taken after the evening meal (would be more beneficial), but do not take too large a quantity. About thirty minutes after the evening meal, dissolve a quarter teaspoonful of the Alcaroid in a little water, then stir in a whole glass of water and drink. Then follow with another glass of water at the same time. The two glasses of water should be taken each time, you see.

25. Also we would begin with having once a week (starting now) a Sweat Bath, with a general rubdown following same. Preferably this would be taken Wednesday or Thursday of each week.

26. And on Tuesdays and Fridays we would have a general OSTEOPATHIC treatment, with specific attention to the lumbar area; coordinating the solar plexus - or 9th and 10th dorsal area, the brachial center, the 3rd and 4th dorsal area; coordinating the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus,

994-2 Page 4

through the vagus center, and the 3rd, 4th and 5th cervical centers. In the applications to the lumbar, let this extend to the locomotory center or to the coccyx area and down the sciatic and especially to the feet; that there may be the removal of this pressure upon same.

27. When the Sweats are taken it would be well to have the Salt Rub and the Oil Rub following same. These do NOT take the place of the OSTEOPATHIC adjustments. Neither do the Osteopathic adjustments take the place of the Sweats and Rubs. But each should be a portion of that to bring the better conditions.

28. Also each evening, when ready for retiring, use the Radio-Active Appliance. This would be alternated in the attachments, to be sure; from left wrist to right ankle, right wrist to left ankle. Use same for thirty minutes to an hour. Or, should the body drop off to sleep, let it remain until the body awakens to remove same.

29. Be careful that there are not excesses of starches AND carbohydrates or sweets taken at the same meals, but keep a well-balanced diet.

30. Do these things consistently, and we will find they will bring near normal conditions for this body.
