1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1000]. Now, we find - while there are conditions that need attention, and while the general outlook, or a description of the disturbances may APPEAR to be serious, taken in time and proper corrections made for the system - there shouldn't be anything to worry about! which the body does!

2. In the disturbances, we find these would be rather of an interesting nature, studied from the psychopathic or from the physiological conditions as exist; for when there are cellular disturbances, and the body physical able to create through its own impulse various effects of the conditions, then we may find much disturbance that may be EASILY relieved, or we may find disturbances that will be HARD to relieve - dependent upon the attitude the individual, Mrs. [1000] we are speaking of, takes towards such conditions.

3. These conditions have to do, then, as we find, that disturb the body - with just this character of condition, wherein cellular units in themselves have become distorted, and the effect as same has produced on the system is both psychopathic and physiological.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, Mrs. [1000] we are speaking of, present in this room.

5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, it is through this we find much of the disturbance in the literal sense, yet in the examination of the blood ITSELF we would find LITTLE to INDICATE such was the condition - but where cells in the blood supply become clotted in the functioning ORGANS, and these produce DISTRESS, then we find the seat of the condition rather becomes that of the state of secondary condition, rather than the cause.

6. Then, we may look for specific conditions in the physiognomy of the body, as related to FUNCTIONAL conditions for disturbance.

7. In the blood supply itself we would find this to be a

1000-1 Page 2

near NORMAL in pressure, and in the effect same has in the system - this a different condition, for we find the circulation slowed up at times in extremities, and overactive at times in the trunk portion of the body. The cold sensations as occur in extremities, or the clammy sensations when the body awakes at night, and the inability to sleep - are INDICATIONS of the disturbance, but coming FROM other sources.

8. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM - or systems, rather, should it be for this body:

9. Here we find that nervous or nerve shocks to the system have had much to do with the condition, and in localizing condition; nerve exhaustion, brought about by worry, anticipation, and by wonder, and by distress. This, as is seen - and as given from the first - more of the psychopathic condition. The physiological condition being rather of that condition wherein, as we would find, DIFFERENCE in the condition ordinarily existent in this body FROM that as would exist in conditions SIMILAR - yet they are entirely different, for the DISTURBANCES are producing the lesions, rather than the lesions producing disturbances. This from the effect in the system of destructive forces through the blood itself, in a cell, and of the effect of the nerves' reactions, and the system attempting to adjust itself to the condition, brings - especially through the mesenteric system - those conditions as produce pressure, as have brought about the lesions and the conditions existent along the cerebrospinal system, which we find particularly in the upper CERVICAL regions - through the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cervical, with a reflex in the 2nd and 3rd dorsal, and MORE SO in the lower dorsal and upper lumbar. These bring to the body the full state of exhaustion at times, with no activity, in the form of reaction through sympathetic or cerebrospinal system, when the body is, as it were, at a standstill in going forward or backward. That's as far as the PHYSIOLOGICAL condition is concerned.

10. The effect, then, as we find in these particular places as are given, is to produce plethora in the system. This is especially seen in that effect as is caused in the activity of the lacteal ducts, or through the right side - where these distresses come at times, and the feeling of the fullness or pressure throughout the intestinal system, especially that above the upper portion of the colon itself. Here we find the distresses become acute at times. These, as we would say, would sound distressing - but the body, thoroughly relaxed, knowing within self that the conditions will adjust themselves, will proper eliminations be set up

in system, and keeping the proper coordination between the eliminating systems, that the stress of same is not thrown on either the liver, the lungs, the kidneys, or the whole of the mesenteric system and alimentary canal - and we will find these distresses, these strains in system, will gradually fade away.

11. Now, to meet the needs - then - of the conditions as exist, we would:

12. At least once in every two weeks, or oftener if necessary, thoroughly cleanse the colon, by washing same, just as if the whole system needs cleansing.

13. Be careful of the diet, that there are not created in the system any of those things that will disturb the body as relating to the assimilations - especially as carried on by this portion of the digestion. Beware, then, of starches and of sugars - but add as much of those that will carry the more STABILIZING conditions for the system, in silicon, gold, and of those that REGENERATE the whole of the system as related to the GLANDS - those that carry phosphorus. This is unbalanced in the body. So that the use of the ENERGY as is exercised will keep the body thoroughly relaxed; ASSIMILATING the whole of the energies of the system by the thorough relaxation, osteopathically given, from the head even to the soles of the feet, even the application of that to the SOLES of feet will aid in relieving that beating down FEELING as comes across the abdomen and the organs of the pelvis; for these, as we see, weight on the locomotary centers; and stimulation to the exercises as will carry both the blood supply and capillary circulation THROUGH these, will relieve the whole of the body.

14. Keep as much open air as possible, that the oxygens of the system, that the oxidization of the whole blood stream, with the adding of the properties in the food values, may strengthen and re-vitalize the whole body.

15. Keep the body occupied MENTALLY - for others, and not self.

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) Why is the left side of tongue coated and the right side normal? (A) From the activities of the gastric juices in the digestive system, from those conditions as have just been given. Come through one PORTION of the system and NOT through the other - for, as often has been given in the indications of the condition of the GASTRIC forces and DIGESTIVE system, is indicated on the taster, or the tongue itself.

18. (Q) What causes swelling and pain in roof of mouth? (A) This produced by the pressure as caused from those conditions existent in the cervical and upper dorsal.

19. (Q) Are the teeth in condition to have lower bridge adjusted? (A) Rather get the SYSTEM in proper shape FIRST - THEN the reactions as will be necessary throughout this portion of the body would be in a better condition. More stable, more satisfactory, less pain, less distress to the body.

20. (Q) What causes the lapse in heart beat and palpitations? (A) Over exercising of the nervous system, or that reaction as comes from over sympathetic reaction in the body. These have been given, as to the causes.

21. (Q) How can body overcome hysteria? (A) Relaxing the body thoroughly through the manipulations, with the gastric juices of the body aided by the properties as given through the assimilation of the diet, and the cleansing of the colon - so that POISONS from the system are entirely eliminated - will aid the body in gaining the better control of self. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital " " Mrs. [1192]
