1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [1000], present in this room, and her association and relations with her husband, [...], her children - [...] and [1193]; also the ... Realty Corp., and all business associates of the body. You will give a mental, spiritual and financial reading for this body, with advice for the perfection of each, and answer the questions which I will ask you regarding all phases of her life.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1000], present in this room, and those conditions, associations, and relations of every nature as surround this body.
3. In analyzing or reasoning with the mental and spiritual forces as surround the body, acting in a manner as to become environments, duties, obligations, considerations, speculations of the body mental - these, as we find, cover a great amount that is other than just mental or spiritual, for much is builded by individuals and individual speculation and association. These conditions make for the body-mind, then, many combative influences, many conditions that require thought, study, and much consideration MUST be given these.
4. These, then, may be met best by that as may be BUILDED in self as that NECESSARY for the stabilizing of self to meet these conditions in all their varied aspects, for unless self becomes sure in self and in self's abilities to hold to an ideal, rather than be wavered by IDEAS of others, the activities MUST become disconcerting, insecure, and troublesome in MANY ways.
5. Then, the first consideration should be given as to self - not as from selfish motives, not as of speculation as regarding even those of physical desire - but rather that of the MENTAL and SPIRITUAL desire to be not only capable and worthy of the trust as has been committed UNTO self THROUGH the varied circumstances as have surrounded, and do surround the activities - but that the body physically and mentally may be able to KEEP that committed UNTO self IN the trust in

such a way and manner as to make for that which, when it - the seed sown in the lives, the hearts, the souls of others, may - when it has conceived - be in keeping with the IDEAL as is held in self. This, then, should be the consideration of the mental self, that in the trust given self may be very sure there has NOT been given more than the self CAN use, CAN conquer, CAN meet, CAN measure out to others, will the IDEAL be kept before self in every act, every word spoken. Be sure, that when the deed is done, when the word is spoken, when the look is given, that they will be such as will be recognized by self when met on ANY occasion, in ANY place, before self, before others, at home or abroad. Then the self may be sure the ideal is kept constantly before self, and that the activities - both mental and spiritual - are in keeping with Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts; for in self - and trust in self alone - is not sufficient in meeting any of the vicissitudes of a single day; for, as in Him one and all live and move and have their being, so must that source of mental activity EMANATE from THAT action, THAT source, and SELF only the channel THROUGH which such is given out to others. In the developments, then, of self - study first to show self approved unto God. Be that as you would have OTHERS be. Act as you would have others act, and leave the consequences in His hand; for he that taketh thought first of the tomorrow, rather than of the principle or of the ideal, is taking counsel with self and measuring self by self, which is NOT wise - but avoid the APPEARANCES of consternation and worry, and know in whom thou hast believed; knowing He is able and willing - for ever has the injunction been, "If ye will be my people, I will be your God". Then, keep that ideal. Keep that service; not as a mourner or a long-faced individual. Be happy in well doing, content in that as is in hand, satisfied only in continuing in STRIVING to do well. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Would it help toward my health and happiness to divide between my husband and children property owned by me? or what is best advised? (A) Until each child is able to understand, in self's own right, that which is necessary for the meeting of the vicissitudes of life, the trust, the burden, is thine. Divide not, for in UNITY there is strength - in division there is failure.
7. (Q) Would it in any way endanger our livelihood? (A) Not endangering so much to livelihood, as the mental and spiritual being of all concerned.
8. (Q) Would my husband be agreeable to such an arrangement?

10. (Q) Should we start to renew leases on this property with the City, or when would be the best time? and for how long? (A) During the next season of renewals would be the best time for same, and for how LONG would depend upon the decision as to what is to be the status of those concerned most IN same.
11. (Q) Will property in that neighborhood increase in valuation? (A) It will be after three to five years, before the INCREASE will BE sufficient to be called a great increase.
12. (Q) What will be the development causing same? (A) The renewal of the peoples that have been gradually moving from the surroundings, or vicinity.
13. (Q) Is my attorney sincere in his advice to us, or is it advisable to make a change? (A) Be well to consider the counsel of another, as to make comparisons - and then decide within self as to what is the best to do in the circumstance. Be sure, in such relationships, that it is OFF with one before wholly on with another. Do not TEMPT self too often.
14. (Q) Would it benefit my health and happiness, also my childrens', if my husband and I separated for a while? (A) Well to consider same, yet much consideration from every angle should be taken before a DEFINITE stand as such be taken, for once consternation and indecision is builded by such a separation, long would be the period before there would be rest or peace of mind and satisfaction in ANY activity. While from the purely MATERIAL viewpoint this would be well, but material things take wings and fly away - but it is hard to get rid of self's own dreams and visions, that remain even in the hours of rest, physical and mental, and will NOT be hid away - for they partake of the very soul of self, and must be met and must be satisfied as an appetite, as an activity in self - and such is LIFE!
15. (Q) Would it bring him to a better understanding? (A) Consider that as has been given.
16. (Q) What course is best for my daughter [...] to pursue at college to prepare for future? (A) In that of the home building. Hence specializing in economics and KINDRED studies.
17. (Q) Would devoting myself to bringing out some talent in my daughter [1193] help me to find myself and to lose that feeling of loneliness I always have? If so, along what line should she be trained?
1000-8 Page 4
(A) As that of the soul, or of the career as an entertainer, that would bring peace, laughter, tears, to others.
18. (Q) Am I equal to the task of attaining a home, and would that help to make our lives more peaceful? or should I continue living at the hotel? (A) As has been given, there has NOT been committed unto self that to which self is not equal, WILL the trust in the results of that as is attempted be left IN the hands of the Giver of all GOOD and perfect gifts; but do not act in one manner and expect results in another. Keep self unstinted, untainted, by the acts of others. Not all that cry Lord, Lord, will be harkened unto - but he that DOETH the will is as a friend of God, and an associate with Him.
19. (Q) Attaining a home, would that help to make our lives more peaceful? or should I continue living at the hotel? (A) Home the nearest AKIN to Heaven.
