Time of Reading ... Hotel, 4:35 to 5:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Body and enquiring mind, and the preparation known as Fur-Fluff on which she is working. You will also consider the following individuals with whom she is considering associations to handle this product: Joseph Friedman of Advertising Associates, 267 Fifth Ave., A. Allen Reich, 11 W. 42nd St., and Lester N. Friedman, 233 B'way, and Jules Goldstein, 122 East 42nd St., all of N.Y.C.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1000], the associations, the intentions, the inclinations; those conditions that surround the preparation; its distribution, its activity. Part of these we have had before.

2. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) What ingredient can be added to Fur-Fluff to eliminate the unpleasant odor that clings to the fur after use of same? (A) Orris Root Flour. Proportions would be teaspoonful. This would be put in when the leather dust is, see - to - well, we have a larger container - to two gallons of the preparation. This means with the whole combination, see? Not of the solution but this is only put in when the leather dust or saw dust is put in, this stirred in - sprinkled over and stirred in. This will materially change this. One teaspoonful to two gallons. Orris Root Flour; that is, it's the pulverized, see?

4. (Q) Is the name and dust product Fur-Fluff suitable for Persian Lamb and Caracul, and if not, how can this product be improved? (A) As we find, these would be suitable - as indicated - for all types of fur.

5. (Q) What can be added to relieve the dullness of the fur after use of product? (A) This, as to the manner and way in which it is applied, is learned more and more of - as to the manner in which it may be applied to give more and more sheen and gloss, especially as to the manner of combing it afterwards. Use not a metal or celluloid comb, but a bone comb. This will

materially aid also.

6. (Q) Is the dust I am using cedar dust or leather dust and which shall I ask for when ordering? (A) Order the leather dust. Use that. There has been a combination in some not so good as the leather dust, and if this is of a coarser quality it would be better.

7. (Q) Is Joseph Friedman honorable and able to carry out the advertising and sales promotion required to make this business a success? (A) This makes as we find just a bit of a complicated association. There are necessary channels for consideration through these. Yet as we find these would be competent. Be sure those other associates, as would assist in this, are agreed to ALL of those activities of Friedman in this direction.

8. (Q) Can I trust him absolutely? (A) This is rather a bad question, under the circumstances. Absolutely is rather too broad, to be used in this connection or association. Provided there is always that condition where a checkmate may be had, can be trusted. To say absolutely would be too far. But where a checkmate can be maintained, very well.

9. (Q) Shall I use Jules Goldstein, Lester Friedman, as my lawyer, or A. Allen Reich as suggested by Joseph Friedman? (A) As we find, Friedman and associate would be better than Reich. Let this be rechecked though by those in whom the entity may have a great deal of confidence as to their abilities, as in conjunction with Joe (the brother), [417] (the brother-in-law).

10. (Q) Is ... Ave. a good place to locate my office and factory? (A) Very good. Don't tie it up for too long, because we find if these are followed out correctly it'll be spreading out and be OUT of New York City.

11. (Q) How long would you advise under the circumstances? (A) Not more than one year.

12. (Q) Shall I put an advertisement in the New York Times for a sales manager? (A) Let this again be considered with Friedman, (brother Joe), [417], and lawyers. Take this as sort of an advisory council. Because the body will do it's own way anyway, and will be directed in most of these. Just don't go too fast.

13. (Q) Is Fur-Fluff inflammable? (A) No.

14. (Q) Are the proportions in the chlorine acid solution correct, and is Fur-Fluff prepared according to directions given in previous reading? (A) Those are very good. They may need to be, as

1000-16 Page 3

indicated, considered more as to the CHARACTER of the carrier, the leather dust or sawdust. And this should be not quite so fine. And this should be altered according to the better conditions and the type and manner it is put on.

15. (Q) What color or colors would be best for the label and printed matter? (A) Maroon and white.

16. (Q) Would Macy's and Gimbel's consider a demonstrator, and would that be a good medium of advertising? (A) This as we find will come a little bit later, or in those periods when there are considerations of greater numbers of furs being prepared for use again in its regular season. Well for this to be worked up; that is, the demonstrators, how and what it will do, and the ways and means for conducting the demonstration. This may be eventually worked to that, but not in the next week or few days.

17. (Q) Can this product be planned and carried out in the same manner in other large cities? (A) This can be carried out in other cities, or it will be found that the choosing of those places that are as not independent but inter-dependent will be well; that is, those that work with the larger stores in the larger cities. And when once demonstrated in one to a satisfaction, it's easily opened in the others - and then the compilation or the orders for distribution through these becomes an easier task.

18. (Q) What type of comb can be put out with the product and not be so expensive? (A) As indicated.

19. (Q) Would this preparation be suitable for cleansing dogs? (A) Be suitable for cleansing dogs.

20. (Q) Should any changes be made in same for this? (A) Some little changes. It would necessitate that the acid be reduced somewhat. No, we wouldn't change it any; save use a FINER dust for the dog - or the fine dust as is being used, and a coarser for the other - or a coarser for the fur.

21. (Q) Should the same name be used? (A) No, should be different. Specific conditions for specific activities are preferable. This may be changed to that of Jennings' Dog Cleanser.

22. (Q) What colors should be used for label, printed matter, etc.? (A) This, as we find, would be better in Black and White.

23. (Q) Should such distribution be through drug stores, pet stores, or how?

1000-16 Page 4

(A) Pet stores, and the same in the way of demonstration should be made. And the hospitals for pets, see?

24. (Q) What about this product for care of hair on the head? (A) This would require a great many changes for this. Remember one's a live organism, the other is an organism made to cleanse or be cleansed by an activity!

25. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) Keep the counsel. Don't go too fast. Make the demonstrations to self and to others often, sufficient for the preparing of others to be expert demonstrators in this cleansing line. Well that some of these be chosen from those that have been furriers for years.
