1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1001]. Now, we find there are conditions as are abnormal to this body. These, as we find, have to do with specific conditions as they are reflected in the functioning of the nervous system, and systems; also as related to conditions as are produced by those things that have been applied, as well as to the functioning of organs.
2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [1001] we are speaking of:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY - This shows in itself the lack of elements as go to make up for a perfect blood; not only from the effect of the sodas as have been administered, but in the manner in which coagulation takes place in the system as related to the eliminations in the functioning system, especially as regarding the effect produced in the generative or genitive system, and the incoordination produced in the effect of the change in the vibrations, or variations in vibrations as go to the brain forces THROUGH sympathetic and cerebrospinal. Hence the SPASMODIC conditions as exist THROUGH the activity of the body at times.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM - Here we find the incoordination of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal. Especially is this seen in the lower dorsal and lumbar region, where - in periods back, during the seventh year - there was an injury to the spine, as caused a lesion and the plethora in the gland as coordinates through the pineal, affecting then the pituitary as well as those of the lyden [Leydigian?]. This effective both in the conditions in the lumbar and lower dorsal, as well as when the contraction is seen physically in the region of the 1st and 2nd cervical, through the plexus to the brain center itself.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS - The BRAIN forces are very good. The coordination BETWEEN the brain forces of the body proper and the cerebrospinal, incoordination.
1001-1 Page 2
6. In the functioning of the organs of the sensory system, these show the effect of those properties GIVEN in the form of bromides - as WELL as the effect of incoordination between the SYMPATHETIC nervous system AND the cerebrospinal; so that when under the stress or strain portions OF the brain forces become accentuated or dulled BY the change in the vibrations to the brain proper.
7. Lungs and larynx very good.
8. Heart's action subnormal at times; at others near normal.
9. The digestive system, sympathetically finds nausea when there is TO be, or has BEEN, the inactivity through the cerebrospinal and sympathetic; for with the disturbance of the lesion in the upper lumbar and lower dorsal, these bring - through the solar plexus - that effect to the hypogastric as to cause the STOMACH to be SMALLER than normal in the body.
10. In the functioning of the organs of digestion: When these are under strain - which does not occur at all times - there are thrown into the system too much of, or the lack of, the proper balance BETWEEN the ASSIMILATED and assimilating of the digestive system, or the liver in itself becomes torpid in its activity. Hence the tendency towards the disturbance through the alimentary canal; also the disturbance of the organs of elimination in lower hepatic circulation; the disturbance in the character OF the urine; irritation in the bladder, and naturally the affecting of the organs OF gentation [genitation] THROUGH this period.
11. In meeting the needs of the conditions - these will require, as we find, persistence - and a consistent reaction through the system, through the application of those things and properties as will BRING the alleviation of the pressure in the lower dorsal and upper lumbar region, as well as bringing coordination through the same region, as WELL as in the cervical, BETWEEN the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system. While there may not be expected too GREAT a result too soon, PERSISTENCE will CORRECT the condition so that the body may be the nearer normal.
12. We would, then, apply those of corrective measures, osteopathically, for the lesions in the lower dorsal and lumbar region, with the COORDINATING of both cerebrospinal and sympathetic THROUGH the activity of the upper cervical to the brain. These we would do osteopathically, making corrections when the body has been relaxed sufficient for these to be made without causing the more OFTEN activity of the spasmodic reactions in the body. These, as we would find, would require some little period; eight to ten treatments at least before the corrections would begin, and
1001-1 Page 3
the treatments SHOULD be each day; FOLLOWING a period of rest each day, or AT the rest period giving those vibrations through the wet charged battery carrying the anode that the application of gold may be prepared or vibrated IN the system. These will assist IN BRINGING coordination, so that the corrective measures may be made osteopathically.
13. Also we would give internally those of soda each day ten grains - Bicarbonate of Soda in water. PREFERABLY this should be given soon of mornings, that we may create more of the alkalin condition in digestive system.
14. In the manipulations, too, corrective measures for the position of the stomach proper SHOULD be made; forcing, by the manipulation of the gall ducts - and also of the glands in the assimilating system - to function under the changed vibration as will be created by the alleviation of pressure IN the cerebrospinal system; also the changed vibration by the application of the low electrical vibration carrying the gold. The GOLD anode - which would be attached last to the body - should be attached to the body at the umbilicus, at the upper part and to the right. While the other anode, or smaller one, would be attached to the 2nd cervical center, see? The poles should be - the smaller or positive anode copper, while the larger or the gold carrier of nickel. Charge the battery before the anodes are put in position, or ready for use. Cleanse the carrier as goes through the gold each time AFTER a treatment, and DO NOT allow same to remain in the gold solution! This lead should be of the lead connection. The vibrations should be given from the battery for TWENTY minutes in the beginning, and when CORRECTIONS are begun LENGTHEN the period to thirty to fifty minutes; not longer. While this will produce, during the first applications, nausea - and this will occur for several successive days, do not let this disturb - but rather use those of the Maypop Bitters to CLARIFY the blood stream, rather than those of the alkaloids or of the sedatives in the form of bromides. Though, when NECESSARY for the relaxation of system, if periods occur - which may be expected occasionally - these may be BEST relaxed by the small doses of codeine. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) What should be the dosage of the Maypop Bitters? [See 1001-1, Par. R2.] (A) Half a teaspoonful before each meal, and let the meals be - this as a pattern, though they may be alternated at certain periods, or from time to time: Of mornings there should be rather those of the citrous fruit diet, alternating from oranges to the lemon and
1001-1 Page 4
grapefruit, with little of whole wheat cakes made in batter, or of such nature. Little toast. Yolk of egg may be given occasionally, but DO NOT give the WHITE! In the noon meal - these should be preferably of the vegetables that are made in salads, PRINCIPALLY of the GREEN vegetables - though the oils, or the dressings of various characters may be used with same, and crackers or toast may be had at this period. In the evenings - these should be of the vegetable, with little of the meats. These well cooked first, with small quantity of some liquid or soup - but never use for the body those of the CANNED, unless they are those that are free of the benzoate character of a preservative. Do not use those! Then there may be small quantities of fish, or shell fish, or of those that are of the appetizing nature. Sardines in oil, NEVER in mustard, may be used sparingly - or those of the lobster chilled. Then there may be the fowl in small quantity, with vegetables that are WELL prepared, without TOO much seasoning; taking the properties about ten minutes before the meal begins - either meal.
16. (Q) Why does the right eye seem elongated at certain periods? (A) The contraction of the muscular forces through the hypogastric plexus to the third ventricle reaction to the head.
17. (Q) Why is there grinding of teeth during sleep and how can it be stopped? (A) By relieving the pressure in the cervical and dorsal and lumbar regions.
18. (Q) Is body's throat in good condition? (A) Very good, though there may be necessary - with the changing of the vibratory forces - some LOCAL applications for the tonsil, and also the thyroids.
19. (Q) Why has body lost his appetite at certain times? (A) As given. Contraction of muscular forces of stomach itself proper.
20. (Q) Would serum injections be beneficial? (A) We have given that as we find that would be the better, though there may be - for the various FORMS of tic or muscular contraction a character of serum given; but will these be given, forget the rest! We have given that which is best! Do that! We are through for the present. Copy to Mother " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital
