This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of May, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1013], Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., questions submitted through Mrs. [1129].

R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: If there is to be real help, there should be more consistency in preparation for obtaining information for this body.

3. As we find, conditions are changed a great deal from those as we have had here before. While some show improvement, others indicate there has NOT been the care taken as should be, nor the consistent use of better applications for the conditions in this body.

4. At times there is little consistency with the activities and the diets that would be for the better or proper health-giving influences.

5. We find that the general weakness, that is indicated at times in the body, and the dizziness which occurs at times, arises from an overtaxing of the body in foods or activities that prevent the best assimilation and eliminations through the body.

6. And we find that these should be as much a part of the applications as anything else, for the health-giving influences; that is:

7. Plenty of rest; at least eight and a half to nine hours each night.

8. Plenty of care of the body in the health-giving foods, and not eating those that are merely gratifying to the appetites. The plainer, rougher foods are much better than too much of the delicacies, or too much of those things that are hard of digestion.

9. Not too much sweets. Do not mix cereals and citrus fruit juices at the same meal, but alternate these. Take the cereal one morning and the fruit the next, not ever taking both at the same meal. Vary these from one day to the next. Both cooked and dry cereals are well; preferably the whole wheat cracked and the cut oats, cooked a long time, or

Maltex - as the cooked cereals. Also when taking the fruit, we would mix a little lemon with the orange juice when taking that. Also we find that grape fruit and pineapple would be well to alternate. It is preferable to eat the pulp of the fruit also, and not just the juice itself.

10. As the meats we would only use fish, fowl or lamb. Do not take ham or mixed meats, or combined meats. Tongue or goose liver or the like is very well.

11. No fried foods of any kind.

12. Do not take foods with vinegar in same.

13. The whole wheat or rye or brown bread is preferable.

14. We would take a tonic, but this in the form of vitamins as may be had in the compound known as ADIRON. Begin with one tablet at EACH meal for about a week of same; then take TWO tablets with the morning meal and two tablets with the evening meal for a period of three weeks - then leave them off for a period of a week to three weeks; and then begin again with the two at the morning meal and two at the evening meal, and so on. Take them WITH the meal!

15. For the conditions in those areas about the 3rd and 4th cervical, and the wen - we would gently massage the area (not the wen itself, but the area about same) with a mixture of equal quantities of Castor Oil and Baking Soda. Mix these thoroughly together, almost as a paste. DO NOT apply this to the wen itself. Massage this into the area each evening. This should remove the disturbing conditions about same.

16. In the right side, close to the caecum and the groin, and under the edge of the rib, where there is pain - we would apply, each evening when the body is ready to retire, all that the body will absorb (massaging same in) of an equal combination of Spirits of Turpentine, Spirits of Camphor and Mutton Tallow. Melt the Mutton Tallow and add the other ingredients in an equal quantity - say a tablespoonful of each. After the body has absorbed all that it will, apply a hot flannel over the area and leave it on for at least an hour to two hours, or the body may let it remain on throughout the evening. This will give better rest. Do this CONSISTENTLY three to four to five evenings at a time - then it may [be] left off a few days, and begun again; but do this CONSISTENTLY. Do not do it one day and leave it off the next, because of irregular hours, but attend to it regularly - having a regular time to do it!

17. Do these, if we would make for the better forces for this body.

19. (Q) What causes sinking feelings lately?

(A) As indicated, general weakness.

20. (Q) Should I take Mead's Yeast tablets? (A) As we find, the ADIRON is preferable; for it contains all of the forms contained in the Yeast tablets except the malt - and the malt would NOT be good for this body. Also the combination of the vitamins in the ADIRON would be much preferable.
