Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Penna. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1034], present in this room.
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of this body. These have to do with specific conditions that exist in the functioning of organs in the system, as related to the activity of glands in the body and the effects that become a portion of the disturbances at times.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1034] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. First, IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY:
5. This we find in the present, as may be said, is not in the NORMAL condition for this body, owing to the necessity there has been for creating that for the system which has made for an increase in the coagulation in the system as related to body and tissue building, and owing to the greater excitement - as it were - to the nervous system through external influences to the body, or bodily injury.
6. In the blood supply normally we find there are the indications of adhesions being in the system, produced from conditions existent from times back; more from injury received to the body in YEARS back, which formed for the body-building influences those tendencies for a depleted circulation through portions of the system. Thus an incoordination has been caused at times between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nervous systems. So conditions are caused specifically, as will be seen, in nerve centers and nerve reactions in the body.
7. Also in the blood we find those tendencies for an increased amount of the white blood cellular forces, and an increased amount in the warriors in the blood supply; and a deficiency in the red blood cellular forces.
8. So, even when there are not those nerve reactions from
1034-1 Page 2
conditions existent in the functioning of organs, the activities or resistances in the body often become depleted by physical OR mental exertion to a tiredness, heaviness to various portions; as to the extremities and, as it were, a pulsation felt throughout the system.
9. The ELEMENTS in the blood, as in the urea, in the hemoglobin, are indicated by that which has been outlined - as to the characterization in the corpuscles of the various characters or natures.
10. IN THE NERVOUS FORCES OF THIS BODY, here we find a great deal of reflex activity that makes for the nervous conditions. Yet the body-mental, from the optimistic outlook the body maintains, produces often suppressions to physical reactions in the system; which is well - if there are those activities in the system to produce that which will ELIMINATE CAUSES of disorders and make for coordination more perfectly between the cerebrospinal and the vegetative or sympathetic nervous systems.
11. Hence we find there are periods when the nerve reflexes are a cause in the disturbances for the body, and other periods when the nerve reflexes are the EFFECT of cycle activity - as it may be termed - in those areas where the CAUSES of the distresses arise.
12. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, we find:
13. Brain forces are very good, save when there are those periods of pain through headaches - that arise from this incoordination in the 9th dorsal plexus.
14. Those reactions to the sensory forces are very good, reacting in a nominal manner.
15. In the throat, bronchi, lungs, the larynx: While there are distresses at times, or a heaviness in the lung forces when there are the pains through portions of the body, or the headaches and the FEELING as of not being able to breathe deeply enough, it is the nerve reflexes that make for the lack of ability for the lungs to supply sufficient activity to the blood stream through oxidization, or through supplying oxygen for the blood. This, then, is a reflex and NOT an organic disturbance.
16. In the heart's action there are those periods when there is the loss of control, as it were, of the nerves; either through nausea that occurs in the lower portion of the stomach or a heaviness in the upper portion or cardiac portion - though the pain or the heaviness is in the lower portion of same. This causes a quick pulsation, but there is NO ORGANIC OR functional heart disturbance.
17. In the digestive forces of the body: Here, or as ASSOCIATED with same, we find the causes or the seat of the
1034-1 Page 3
trouble. In those periods in times back there was a pressure or an injury to the right portion of the body; not on the liver area but below same - between the gall duct, the lacteal duct and the umbilicus center. Hence we have, as the cause, an adhesion in a portion of the lacteal ducts; that prevents the proper activity through same; bringing about periodically (though these may not come on certain days or be exactly at the same periods) a cutting off of nerve impulses from the solar plexus center. Thus there is brought about a regurgitation through the duodenum to the stomach itself, producing this nausea of the nature that belching does not aid; and even eliminations through the alimentary canal only aid partially.
18. This, the, coordinating or reflecting with the solar plexus center and the activities of the nerve forces to the brain, brings on even PERIODS of almost loss of control of the body itself; THROUGH the rush not to the head of the blood supply - unless there are activities that cause same - but rather the rush of the blood to the solar plexus center, through the liver, through the hepatic circulation, causing at times an activity through the kidneys frequently but sparse. And the activity or inactivity of the alimentary canal produces a form of constipation that turns through a portion of the caecum area that which becomes very distressing at times to the body.
19. These arise, then, as spasmodic conditions to this portion. And if those portions would be examined, even by the hand being placed on same, it would be found (even as in the present) that this area would be COOL, or cold, in comparison to the rest of the torso of the body itself.
20. The effect produced by this condition upon the digestive system makes for periods when nothing apparently agrees with the body for digestion. There come those activities through the liver when there is an increased circulation. Not pain through the gall ducts, though at times there is a pressure through this area.
21. The activity upon the digestive forces brings periods when there is the necessity of producing that which will relax the body for it to be easy at all, or that which will make for a change in the flow of the circulation through the portions of the body.
22. These are the conditions as we find in this body.
23. The effect of these upon the lower hepatic circulation, through the activity of the organs of the pelvis, makes for intermittent periods of eliminations at times; at other there is the normal activity throughout.
24. IN MEETING, THEN, THE NEEDS OF THE CONDITIONS:
1034-1 Page 4
25. With the applications of these influences and forces that we will suggest, we find that also other conditions that arise from these disturbances will be eliminated; and there will not be the necessity for those periods of relaxations to the body by sedatives or by other activities produced in the capillary circulation; for these will ADJUST themselves. And we may bring normal forces for this body in these applications.
26. First we would begin by the use, periodically, of the Castor Oil Packs. These would be taken every other day for a period of an hour or an hour and a half, preferably at the time of retiring; as hot as the body can well stand. They would be applied so as to cover the caecum area entirely, reaching to the lower portion of the liver - on the right side of the body, and across at least half the portion of the abdomen.
27. After the second or third period of taking the Packs, then add to the system quantities of Olive Oil to make for the coordinating of that produced by the absorption of the Castor Oil.
28. Do not take Castor Oil internally.
29. Well, too, as soon as the Olive Oil is taken, to use a high enema, or the colonic irrigation is preferable.
30. All of the above may be taken by self, you see.
31. Then (after the first colonic irrigation), begin with adjustments in the coccyx area, the 4th lumbar area, and coordinate the adjustments in this area with the 9th and 10th dorsal; and, to be sure, relaxing through the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus in the cervicals.
32. Take these about twice a week for periods of three weeks, then rest from same a MONTH, and then take again.
33. But the Castor Oil Packs, the Olive Oil and the colonics, are to be kept rather in periods of a month, and then with a rest period from same of a week to two weeks, and the repeat.
34. Also we would use regularly the Radio-Active Appliance to create vibrations in the system as to aid in the resting.
35. And adhering to all of these, we will find that in six to eight months the body should not only be rid of these troubles but should be mentally and physically fit and able to give expressions through its body.
36. Ready for questions.
37. (Q) How much Olive Oil should be taken at a time? (A) Two tablespoonsful, at least. This would be taken, you see, about once a week, for a period of a month to two months. Then have a rest period from same for two weeks, and then repeat again.
1034-1 Page 5
38. (Q) How prepare the Castor Oil Packs? (A) Heat the Oil; dipping two, three to four layers of flannel in same, wring out and apply directly to the body. Well that dry heat be kept over same during the period of an hour or the like when the Packs are on the body. Bathe off the body afterwards, of course, with a weak soda solution, to cleanse the body from the acidity and from the natural secretions that arise from same.
39. (Q) What solution should be used for the enemas or colonics? (A) A soda and salt solution. About a level teaspoonful of table salt and a heaping teaspoonful of baking soda to a gallon and a half of tepid water, for the first cleansing solution. In the last solution for rinsing, to one quart put a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline. Do this, and we will bring normal forces for this body.
40. (Q) Any treatment to change the blood structure? (A) These treatments indicated will act upon the blood stream. For, as given, the lesions will be loosened by these continued treatments; and with the stimulation by the osteopathic adjustments in the areas indicated, the blood stream will change. Do not eat sweets and starches at the same meal. To be sure, the elements in the diet slowly change the blood reaction. Beware of taking white bread or Irish potatoes as a part of the diet. Use rather the whole wheat bread or rye or brown bread; and the peel of the potatoes, or the jackets, rather than the potato or pulp of same.
41. (Q) Any tumor or malignant growth? (A) No tumor or malignant growth. The natural tendency for the overflow of the lymph to adjust the body causes plethora conditions in the abdominal cavity, but these disappear as the blood or the circulation adjusts itself. And with the corrections of those things that CAUSE same, these will disappear.
42. (Q) How should the Radio-Active Appliance be used? (A) Each day, opposite poles - or opposite parts of the body; right wrist, left ankle; left wrist, right ankle. Every day for thirty minutes to an hour. There is no sensation felt from the applying of same, but the equalizing of the circulation and the ability to rest better will arise from the application of same.
