1. EC: Yes, we have those records of the entity and those relations with the universal forces that are latent and manifested in the personalities of that entity called [1046].
2. In giving that interpretation from the records as found here:
3. Let the entity know that while there are influences in the experiences between sojourns in the earth, and the environmental are emotional influences from the dwellings in the the earth, THESE are but as the hereditary forces and environmental forces that may be altered ever by the WILL of the entity. For the will is that in the experience of the soul which separates the entity, man, from other creations that manifest in this, the earth world or earth consciousness.
4. For there ARE other consciousnesses from which and into which the soul or the MIND of the soul, or of man, enters. And these partake of that which becomes dependent upon what the entity, the soul, does about same in any experience.
5. These we find as innate influences, then, in this entity born July 5, 1892, [1046].
6. In Jupiter we find those as influencing the associations or activities of the entity. That in which the mind in the present may become the more active, or the natural trend is dealing with, associating with, things or conditions having to do with the activities or the thoughts of great NUMBERS of peoples; rather than as individuals. Dealing then with the masses or dealing with certain classes of activities. These become the NATURAL force or influence in the experience of the entity in giving expression of the entity's abilities in the present. While these are
1046-1 Page 2
approached naturally through individual associations or activities, the influence of that in which the entity may accomplish for self, for those about self, to give the greater expression of self, will be in that which deals with the masses or classes - rather than individual activities.
7. Not that things only, but people with things, WITH associations, these become a portion of the entity's activities. These, to be sure, from developments as will be seen in the activity of the entity in the EARTH, may be altered; for the entity has - the entity's influences have made and do make for - abilities in dealing with INDIVIDUAL things as well as individual activity.
8. In Mercury we find a high mental ability, or a mental aptitude towards the analytical activities of groups or individuals. Or the analytical mind that pertains to that which is the motivative influence in things. This has been a development rather than the expression in the motivative influence in individuals, but in groups it is the more.
9. From Venus, as afflicted with Mars, we find rather those tendencies for the dispositions of things in friendships, in love associations, in things having to do with what may be said to be the motivative forces in each. As very set, very determined, very much of a matter of fact. Things must be taken not merely for granted but under certain conditions these must be set, to the entity, as to EXPECT certain things or definite things from the activities of individuals. And the natural consequence is that though such things arise, for the entity to be disappointed in a friend or in a loved one HARDENS something - as it were - within; producing rather a barrier.
10. These, then, are in expression from the lack of tolerance in certain directions. And tolerance should be cultivated in the experience of the entity for that which will make more and more harmonious experience. For a grudge or a hurt that is a portion of the inner self must be met. And though it may be cast aside, it must not REMAIN as cast aside unless forgiven. THIS should be, then, a portion of the entity's application within the inner self; not only forgive but FORGET! For this is the basis of love as given by Him who was, who is, the Prince of Peace, of harmony, of love, of beauty in the experiences of individuals, of entities, in the expressions of same in the material world.
11. As to the experiences in the earth, then, as appearances that come as emotions and as things or conditions that become as of aiding or abetting in the INNATE urges, and find expressions rather in the emotional life or experience of the entity:
1046-1 Page 3
12. Before this we find the entity was in a portion of the land of the entity's present nativity, about what is now known as Salem or Provincetown; during those periods when there were the combinations of those who set THEMSELVES in the activities of the first settlers - or the Puritans in THEIR activity in that portion of the land about Plymouth.
13. Or it was during the extending into those periods when the entity, as Joseph Conrad, was among those peoples who made for the combining of the people in the activities that made for a union of the service of defense first, of the union of activity as related to that which has grown in this land to what may be termed the political parties.
14. Hence economics as related to the political influence becomes a portion of the entity's activities in the present. And those things that deal with such activities become now as expressions, manners, ways and means in which there may be had the greater action in the experience of the present entity.
15. Hence not what may be said to be wholly a political influence, or of group or class or mass activity, but those actions in the material world - when these deal with parties and parties' affiliations, and parties' activities, the entity may engage in same in such ways and manners as to become an influence that may be most helpful - so long as the IDEALS are held. Though these have from the material experience become rather tabu, rather should the entity reconsider for the good not only for self but for the benefits that may be derived by the masses, the groups, the states, the various associations. For these should become, as we find, a portion of the entity's activities.
16. For THROUGH that experience the entity gained even during those periods when there arose persecutions in the activities of those that would BIND individuals for their religious thought. For the entity's experience covered a portion of what may be said to have been the religious war, or those periods when phases of experiences of individuals were questioned. Yet none of the public found fault with the entity as he judged or questioned those who were engaged in such, in or during those periods when he counselled with the various groups regarding the necessity of changes in environs.
17. Before that (among the experiences that influence the entity in the present) we find the entity was in the English land, when there were those preparations for the Crusades that made for the activities in which definite stands, definite purposes were being taken by the peoples during that experience; that made again for what is now termed the
1046-1 Page 4
taking of sides, the making of influences that made for DESPERATE activities on the part of individuals and groups for an ideal.
18. Then the entity was in the name George Bruce, being during those periods among the leaders that attained to the activity even into the Holy Land. Yet owing to those mis-concepts, misunderstandings, of those activities that made for periods when through dearth there came illness, sickness, and the change from the climatic reactions, and the foods and the waters during the experience, the entity became a charge of those of the Moslem faith - that KNEW rather the application of the tenet than the tenet as a rote.
19. These made for great alterations in the experience of the entity during the sojourn; and SHOULD have made for the abilities in tolerance in the present. These ARE expressed in the SPIRITUAL thought, but RARELY expressed in the mental or the material thought in those same relations.
20. The activities from that experience make for the abilities in the coordination of thought of individuals in various sections; or of the motivative influence in the home life, the economic life, the social life, under varied environments. These make for a field of activity in which interest is aroused, and in which the entity may employ self in the present for not only material but for soul and mental development.
21. Service, then (as it should be in the experience of every soul), is the OUTLET through which the inner self may find the greater satisfaction.
22. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Persian or Arabian, during those periods when there were those activities in the 'city in the hills and the plains' where much good was being given, especially in the healings for peoples of many lands, of many nations.
23. The entity was among the Grecian peoples that JOINED in the activities, being healed himself then, as Pholius.
24. In the experience the entity became one upon whom those activities in the city depended for the keeping of order, for the cleansing and lighting of same. Or, as would be termed in the present, the entity was the mayor; THEN as the burgomaster or the lord. Not as one lording over others, but one to whom others came for authority in the various activities during the experience.
25. The entity gained much; lost when these abilities were turned to self-indulgence, self-aggrandizement. But in the main the periods brought prosperity not only to the dwellers in the city but to those who came for aid, help and comfort
1046-1 Page 5
during those periods of the sojourn there.
26. In the present from those experiences, then, the abilities that lie in such directions of directing the activities of others become innate; and may find manifestations in these relations that may be established or brought about in the experience of the entity,
27. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Egyptian, during those periods when there was the building up of those correlated influences from the various teachers; during the age of the application of same pertaining to the classifications of the activities of individuals befitted for certain group work.
28. The entity then was among those from Atlantis who aided in such; for the entity then was born in the Egyptian experience but of the Atlantean activity.
29. Hence electrical forces, those that have to do with LIFTING, those that have to do with the application of same to bodily functioning, those that have to do with the making of color or its effect, have been in the experience.
30. Hence the entity MIGHT have made for a delving into chemical or electro-chemical engineering, that would have made for a development in an INDIVIDUAL way and manner.
31. Yet those influences where the entity's activities may influence groups and masses of people greatly overweigh same in the present experience.
32. The name then was Huel-la.
33. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, and that to which it may attain, and how:
34. Either in a political association or affiliation, or that in which the entity may analyze for others, for groups, for activities, that in the economic life, the material life, for the greater benefit of the greater number, may the entity in the material world find satisfaction.
35. And in the mental and spiritual, know that though man is a mental body, a spiritual body and a physical body - divided for the purposes of understanding - these are EVER as one, or remain as one. Hence let the thought of the body (for Mind is the Builder), the purposes of the body, mind AND physical, ever be motivated by the spirit of truth that is of the constructive nature for the greater numbers.
36. Thus we will find that in whatsoever becomes the chosen field of activity or service, HARMONY and contentment will follow in the wake of the entity's service.
37. Ready for questions.
38. (Q) Is my present endeavor, i.e., the study of law and its application, suitable to my mental and physical make-up? (A) SUITABLE. Especially if it will be applied later in
1046-1 Page 6
the POLITICAL affiliations or associations, which is ordinarily a NATURAL tend [tendency?]. Yet, as indicated, in those fields where such abilities become a service to the greater number of individuals will there be offered the channels in which the greatest material and mental gain may be had - and thus harmonious satisfactions.
39. (Q) Is it advisable for me to take the Bar Examination this coming December? (A) WELL - to take the Bar examination - this coming December.
40. (Q) Will I pass the Examination, if I take it? (A) We wouldn't have advised it unless the indications were such that you would pass!
41. (Q) Along which line must I apply myself in order to be successful in attaining admission to the Bar? (A) Along the lines as indicated in the information here given; dealing rather with the State and municipality, or those things that would be termed - not wholly for CORPORATIONS, but the corporations of the municipality or the State which represent peoples rather than individuals, see?
42. (Q) Are there any adverse influences working against me in the organization in which I work? (A) None above that of the ordinary, that comes or arises from animosities or these things. In such things know you are right and forget the others. In the manner as indicated. Forgive those who would do thee harm, if you would be able to be their ruler.
43. (Q) Will this latest move which I have made in my working conditions prove more advantageous than the past circumstances under which I was working? (A) The indications are that these will prove most advantageous. While there will arise, as we find, a little later, some misunderstandings; hold fast to the PURPOSES you have set - and these will go.
44. (Q) Will I be able to develop and attain the goal for which I am striving, in this new position, and will it be recognized and rewarded? (A) Let the purpose and the desire of the heart be maintained; not that self may lord but rather that self may be of the greater service to the fellow man through those channels that are as a portion of the entity's experience to be had in this choosing. For not only be the law by the compliance to all of the psychological and economic and penal laws in their various phases but let LOVE be without dissimulation. MAKE thyself friendly if ye would have friends. Make thine self INDISPENSABLE not only to thy
1046-1 Page 7
friends but to thy foes, and ye will find it will bring harmony and contentment - and a voice as within, "Well done!"
