1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1083]. Now, we find there are many disturbing conditions in the physical forces of this body. While these in their elementary form presented little or no disturbance in particular, the gradual banking up of refuse forces in system has brought about many disturbing factors to the body. The greater part of the disorder in the beginning was the improper and poor elimination. First we had those conditions as of dyspepsia, or a tendency of belching the foods, and super-acidity, with engorgements in the stomach and duodenum. Later we found the tendency of stiffness in extremities, pains in the side, headaches, and then there were seen those disorders that had to do with the obstructions in the sensory system, particularly towards those conditions in the eyes proper. These followed after there had been influences from exterior to relieve internal disorders which were built up by these conditions; with the change in the circulatory system as to produce these pressures, as is seen in lumbar and sacral, that bring for those disorders with the kidneys and the organs of the pelvis; then those that had to do with the conditions that brought about abrasions on the body proper, from the poor circulation; and - as we have found all the way through - the APPLICATIONS for the body have been for effects and NOT for the causes of the conditions. In each case we have found, with the new disorder or new distress brought, a different application for a different portion of the system; setting up, then, complications in the whole physical force of the body. Not that the body becomes wholly distraught, save especially as to the sensory forces - or the eyesight itself, and the disorders or accentuations through the over sympathetic conditions of the system, the brooding over the conditions arising in the body, the conditions that arise as in relationships to self and as in relationships to others; the discontent, the disconcertedness of activity of the whole mental and physical body cried out for those reliefs that have been
1083-1 Page 2
slow and long in coming. Gradually has the body become discouraged, discontented, and the breeding of that which makes for dissatisfaction with the conditions. Occasionally there have come those cheering periods when apparently, with the change and with the new applications for the body, in many ways the better conditions would come. This has given hope at times, yet the body gradually slipped back into the discouragements.
2. In meeting the needs, then, of the conditions of this body - as we would find - while this would require some time, some patience, and a great deal of persistence on the part of the body as to the activities of itself and of the applications from those that would make for beneficial effects in the body, it would be reaching to the base or the seat of the trouble itself. These, we find, may be made worth while, will they be applied in a manner that will give not only the rebuilding and resuscitating forces for the physical body, but build a hope eternal in the mental being that will answer for all those of a derogatory nature that have existed and do exist in the body itself.
3. We would begin with those of the nature as may be called a TONIC for the system, yet will become MORE than a tonic, will this be taken properly and the proper attitudes held towards self and those conditions that are being prepared and being accomplished in the system with the applications of the various things as they arise and become necessary for a change to meet the needs of the changing conditions in the body from time to time.
4. First we would prepare, then, as this: To 1 gallon of distilled water, add: Wild Cherry Bark...............2 ounces, Sarsaparilla Root..............2 ounces, Dogwood Bark.................1/2 ounce, Prickly Ash Bark.............1/2 ounce, Cincho Bark....................1 ounce. This we would reduce by simmering (slow boiling) to 1 quart. Strain while it's warm and add 3 ounces of alcohol with 2 drams Balsam of Tolu cut in it. The dose would be a teaspoonful 4 times each day.
5. We would also, at least every week until 3 are taken, have the high enemas or colonic irrigations.
6. We would also each day, for at least 15 days - then rest 15 days - then take 15 days more - of the sweats, that will set up a capillary circulatory condition. Following these (that is, the sweats), the body should have a THOROUGH
1083-1 Page 3
massage, ESPECIALLY in the lumbar, sacral and cervical regions, and generally over the whole system occasionally. Following such sweats, to be sure, there should be those precautions taken that the body does not take cold from such operations, and the body should rest following these.
7. We would also apply the violet ray - each WEEK, at least - in the upper dorsal and cervical region; occasionally applying the eye applicator to the eyes themselves proper.
8. The diet during this whole period should be principally those of the citrus fruits, nuts, and of the raw vegetables. Little meat, though the sea foods (though not of the shell fish) may be taken - not in ABUNDANCE, but be sure it is VERY fresh.
9. As much open air as the body may be able to obtain. Not too much night air, nor a straining ever of the system in the direction of the use of the eyes, the ears, or the FEELINGS even.
10. With these applications we will find the changes gradually coming about, that will necessitate changes in the physical and medicinal applications.
11. Well were the body to have one, or an attendant one, that would speak more oft of the light that may be awakened from within, than of material things of life - though do not BURDEN the body in ANY manner. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Shall the treatment she is now undergoing be continued? (A) These, as we find, are beneficial only for local conditions. Were these followed more closely in the line as we have given, the greater benefits - as we would find - would come, and of a more permanent nature. Let's save, at least, that vision had. Let's prevent, if possible, those inroads of pressures that are being produced in various portions of the system, by both the manipulations and the medicinal properties - also the cleansing of the system and the re-vibration that may come to the body through these applications.
13. (Q) Will she ever regain her sight completely? (A) ALMOST, will those conditions that PRODUCE the pressure be removed.
14. (Q) What in particular is the cause of her condition? (A) This has been told. Poor elimination gradually builded as to make pressures, PRODUCING - then - sedimentary conditions that found lodgement in the system. Do as we have given, and at the end of the first period of the sweat baths - we would give further instructions.
15. We are through for the present.
