Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1084], present in this room.
2. Now, as we find, there ARE disturbing conditions to the normal functionings of the body. These, as we find, arise from disturbances that have existed in the body in the form of a temperature that in its activity upon the nerves and the lymph circulation produced lesions in such natures as to prevent the normal flow of the circulation.
3. Thus the nominal developments of portions of the body have been prevented; more notably the extremities, owing to the nature or position of the lesions as produced in the segments of the lumbar and lower dorsal area.
4. The conditions produced, then, becoming a portion of the bodily functioning, continue to make for - under the stress and strain - hindrances in the activities that would make for normal locomotory reactions.
5. These, as we find, may be materially aided; though it will require patience, persistence, on the part of those applications that would cause a revivification of those portions of the body that need the change. For the applications may be made of those forces and influences that may aid in bringing a nearer normal development for the body, through producing a reaction where the segments, the portions of the structural body may be so revivified as to aid in the activities - through the process of the changes that may be wrought by such applications.
6. Because of the very nature of the reactions it will require, as we find, that from time to time there be somewhat of an alteration in the manners in which the applications may be made.
7. But in the present we would add no medication of ANY nature. Rather we would use the vibrations from oils and massage that may make for the necessary changes, that THEN -
1084-1 Page 2
in their process of change - we may add those activities in corrective forces and corrective measures that will continue to make for the improvements, and a nearer to normal growth, nearer to normal activity of the lower portions of the circulatory system, as well as the locomotories that may be materially aided in these manners.
8. In the beginning, then, we would prepare a compound for massaging, in this manner:
9. To 6 ounces of Russian White Oil, add - in these proportions, and IN THE ORDER NAMED: Compound Tincture of Benzoin.........1 ounce, Cedar Wood Oil.......................1 ounce, Oil of Wintergreen...................1 ounce, Kerosene Oil.....................1 1/2 ounces, Oil of Sassafras Root..............1/4 ounce. These will tend to separate when standing, but should be shaken well together before being used. Pour a small quantity into an open container that it may be massaged into the lower portion of the cerebrospinal system, from the 9th dorsal - or central portion of the dorsal system - to the lower end of the spine. Massage in a circular motion, just what the body will absorb. Let the massage with this mixture also extend over the sciatic centers, or along the portions of the lower limbs to the knees, UNDER the knees, to the feet - and massage the feet ESPECIALLY. This should be done each day, just before retiring.
10. After this has been kept for a period of sixty to ninety days, then we would give the changes and those things necessary for further corrections.
11. Be patient, be persistent.
12. Keep the attitude of constructive forces about the body, for the physical and the mental body may be made to respond to those applications that will bring a relief and a help for this body - if they will be applied consistently and persistently.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) What is the general condition of the body and the organs of the body? (A) Naturally, under the stress and strain, there are those tendencies for an anemic condition; but these will be materially aided also. Then, in the matter of the diet - along with the building forces through the applications of the massage or rubs:

Be mindful that no large quantities of starches or sugars are taken at the same meal. Not that there should be no sweets nor bread nor potatoes, but rather that these would not be COMBINED at the same meal. Beware of too much hog meat of any nature, save the very crisp bacon or those portions of same that produce great quantities of enzymes may be taken in moderation. Do these, and then in sixty to ninety days we would give further instructions.
15. We are through for the present. Copy to Parents " " Ass'n file (GD's note at time of reading: See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to Druggist for preparing the compound for massaging. The "enzymes" as referred to are such portions of the animal as tripe, souse, pig knuckle, liver; or the liver, melt, light and sweetbread may be boiled together, provided the grease is taken off.)
