1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1095].
2. Now, as we find, conditions-physical are very good in many ways; yet there are those conditions the correction of which in the present would bring about much nearer normal conditions in the body, and relieve the body of those distresses that arise at times; that produce disturbances through the mucous membranes of the throat, the head, and the soft tissue of the face; those that make for a great deal of disturbance at times through the eliminating portions of the system, and thus prevent later a great disturbance throughout the system.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1095] we are speaking of:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, there are the indications of a superacidity that oftentimes arises in the system. This is not only from the character of the food or the diet or the excess of portions of these, but from pressures that are indicated that exist in the upper dorsal and through portions of the cervical areas, where - when those congestions and colds arise - the body becomes more aware of these by the conditions that exist through this portion of the body; by the ache or the pain or the heaviness across the lower portion of the lung area; though this is more in the muscular forces than in the tissue itself.
5. Also there are indications, from the character or the nature of the blood supply, of how the pressures from the lower lumbar area, or through the axis there, produce pressures from the feet and lower limbs that make for a distress through these portions of the body; making a heaviness at times and thus causing distresses in the eliminations through the alimentary canal.
6. The clearing of these would prevent much of that which
1095-1 Page 2
has disturbed or does disturb the body.
7. From those conditions or pressures, or lack of the impulse through the blood and nerve supply, in the upper dorsal, there is the filling of the soft tissue in the face at times. Hence those conditions in the sensory system itself.
8. THE NERVE FORCES OF THE BODY, we find these become overtaxed at times through the very NATURE of the disturbance; for not only is there the disturbance in the deeper nerve supply but the reflexes are to the sympathetics, as indicated. Hence those periods of irritation that arise - or come rather from the nerve forces than those things that are of the physical nature. For we find both the reactions to the physical AND to the sympathetic or nerve forces.
9. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, these, as we find, are generally under a strain, as the congestion that is shown at times in the liver and the spleen; or especially in the hepatic circulation.
10. As we find, then, if these conditions are cleared we would make for a relieving not only of these disturbances but make for better reactions through the body, [1095], we are speaking of.
11. THEN, IN MAKING THE APPLICATIONS FOR SAME:
12. First, as we find, there should be in the BEGINNING periods of relaxation, that would be made by the use of either the PINE Baths or Pine Sweats, and then general rub. These would be under one week about two or three; that is, until the stimulations are such that the superficial circulation is set in motion - so we would take these about two or three times in one week. Of course, this would be severe upon the body; but these stimulations are necessary if we are to rid the conditions entirely.
13. Then we would have the adjustments osteopathically made, not only in the lumbar but specifically through the dorsal and the cervical area. These would be taken for about eight to fifteen treatments. When these are made, the one treatment should be a GENERAL treatment and the next a specific adjustment in the lumbar and the upper dorsal and cervical area, etc. When those adjustments in the lumbars are made, coordinate the bursae of the feet with the general locomotory forces of the body itself.
14. Be mindful in the diet, that there is a refraining from too great a quantity of highly SEASONED foods, spices, peppers, too much sweets. No red meats. These are too severe upon the system.
15. These kept for the full period, as we find, would make
1095-1 Page 3
for a correction with this body.
16. Ready for questions.
17. (Q) How many of the Sweat Baths should be taken? (A) Three, as just indicated.
