Time of Reading 11:20 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Mich. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, same place - we have the body here, [1100], this we have had before.
2. A great deal of improvement is indicated in the general physical forces of the body from that as when last we had same here.
3. There are still those tendencies for the throat and nasal passages to give disturbances, and - though apparently strong and stout - the tendencies to be deficient in that plasm that produces proper coagulation of used energies of the body.
4. For when there is an exercise, even of the breathing or any physical activity, such energies produce in a body much the same character of functioning - from a material view - as the burning of any substance produces ash that eventually becomes a clog to the system unless there are the proper drainages set up and this dross or ash or disturbance removed AND proper replacements made for used energies.
5. In the disturbances then these become apparent as related to some of the glandular reactions that have been indicated. These, too, we find to be somewhat the effect of astrological aspects in the experience of the body. Yet these are indications, not causes; neither need they be effective UNLESS the body-mind ALLOWS same to become as hindrances or gives - by thought - POWER for such reaction upon the physical body!
6. For the mind being both spiritual and material, if there is the dwelling upon the physical or material rather than the abilities of constructive thinking, POWER is given to the physical body to become overpowering to the other effects that may be produced in the body.
7. As we find, as there is the inclination for the lack of the proper secretions to the body from the thyroids, the use of a spray IN the mucous membranes of the nostril and nasal passages, as well as throat, of the atomic iodine
1100-8 Page 2
(Atomidine) would be well. The proportions for this body would be a teaspoonful of the Atomidine to an ounce of distilled water, used in a spray. This would be absorbed, also act as an antiseptic and as an astringent, and be HEALING to the body.
8. Then take precautions as to keeping an alkalinity for the body. And as we find in these particular disturbances the taking of Upjohn's Citrocarbonate - a teaspoonful about once a day, preferably just before retiring - would tend to make for the keeping of the body so as to build resistances.
9. To be sure, occasionally - once a week or once in ten days or three times a month - have the thorough manipulations that set up drainages from the CENTRAL portion of the system here; for these then would be those below the 2nd and 3rd dorsal, or stimulate the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th dorsal to reactions to the alimentary canal, so that eliminations as produced by the activity of the liver, the pancreas, the spleen and as for the production of peristaltic movements of the lower portion of the duodenum and the upper portion of the jejunum would be the most helpful for the body. That is the TYPE of manipulation or adjustment osteopathically that would be the more helpful.
10. In the diet include those foods that are blood and body-building, that carry iron in such manners as may be assimilated by the body. Particularly, then, roasted apples - not baked but ROASTED. Those activities from the properties in the oysterplant (salsify) and things of such natures are the better in carrying these properties to the system. Plenty of orange juice, citrus fruit juices of all kinds. Preferably the orange juice would be with one-third lemon, but this taken for this body in the afternoon would be preferable. Red wine with sour or black bread also is most helpful, for this carries these properties in such measures that resistances may be builded in those activities of the glandular system that are lacking in their effective functioning.
11. Do this, and we would find the bettered conditions for this body and a continued improvement.
12. The massaging of the lower limbs, especially from the knees downward and the feet, of an evening, with equal portions of Tincture of Myrrh and Olive Oil (heating the Oil to add the Myrrh) will aid the circulation in the lower portions of the extremities, giving more strength to the feet in the bursa of the heel and the middle portion or the instep. These are helpful. Not necessarily EVERY day, but two to three days, rest two to three days, then take two to three days more and rest for a week. But these keep an

equal balance. For with the pressures upon the body from the erect position and the activities generally where there are tendencies for the lack of glandular secretion, especially as to keep the blood supply in a normal balance, these are disturbing - and these reactions, the absorption of these properties to the circulation in those portions where they become more effective to the activity of the body, bring helpful conditions.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) Should the body continue taking the Atomidine internally? (A) The small portions, yes. This has been indicated, and the use of same as a spray is helpful also. Take periods of Atomidine; not continued every day but for a week every day, rest a week and begin again. These are more effective than continued, for ANY property. For this may be said to be the manner in which any outside influence acts upon not only this body but any body: To continue the use of any ONE influence that is active upon the body CONTINUALLY is to cause those portions of the system that PRODUCE same to lose their activity or their significance, and depend upon the supply from without. But to give stimulation to the system and then refrain from same tends to produce IN the body that necessary reaction in the glandular system and in the functioning of organs. For the body (normal) produces within itself the necessary elements for its continual reproduction of itself at ALL times.
15. (Q) For what reason was corn-meal suggested for my diet? (A) Because there are those elements from same - as of silicon, and the activities from those elements that produce a character of iron - that are helpful for the body.
16. (Q) What causes the slight sensitiveness in the appendix region? (A) The lack of the eliminations or the secretions sufficient to carry the full peristaltic movement through the body. Hence the stimulations to portions of the cerebrospinal system that act upon the body as indicated.
17. (Q) How can the bodily resistance be kept up, especially during the winter months? (A) By following those suggestions that have just been indicated, we find we may build resistances for this body, through the periods of sudden changes or distresses that may come from sudden changes to the bodily temperature.
18. (Q) Do astrological influences produce the low blood
1100-8 Page 4
pressure and slow heart beat of my body? (A) These are inclinations, but they are functional - as has been indicated - rather than purely astrological. That the body, through its period at present, is passing that as has been indicated as to these inclinations, yes. But these need then only the building of the proper resistance. For knowledge without activity becomes stumblingblocks rather than wisdom to a body.
19. (Q) How may I as a student of astrology understand and interpret the new turn of the constellations and their effect on the physical body? (A) This would require a reading IN ITSELF! For these would go into those changes that have been given by the mystics of old, as to how and when - at certain periods - they are to pass. This began on the twenty-sixth (26th) of September this year.
20. (Q) Any further advice that would benefit me at this time? (A) In the mental and spiritual attitudes, the inclinations are for an active service in the use of the spiritual and mental understanding. Keep these as constructive for SELF as for others, and we will find NOT that it may produce or would produce selfishness but rather selflessness in the experience of the body. For constructive forces are always POSITIVE. The mental reactions create negatively through doubt or fear. But KNOW in what thou hast believed, and know it is able to keep that thou committest unto it against ANY influence that may be in thine experience. For the earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof. He has not forgotten! For Life itself in every form bespeaketh HIS PRESENCE, His mindfulness of those that would do His biddings!
