Time of Reading Hotel Essex, 11:00 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. Virginia Beach, Va.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of the body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1100]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, conditions are improved. And, of course, the natural consequence of the variation in the altitude has much to do with the changing in the vibrations of the central blood and nerve system; that is, heart, liver, lungs, kidneys.

4. With a rest of some three weeks, we find that the body should be able to return for a while, anyway. But it should not be too long a period of residing in a high altitude. It will require that there be not too much activity. Don't become lazy, but do keep quiet; not too much exertions, for these tend, of course, to raise the blood and the heart tempo and to become a strain on the whole of the central system, causing foods to disagree that normally would agree; also causing the changes that are wrought - or that are being wrought in the general glandular system - to become more apparent.

5. These, then, just require precaution.

6. Do that.

7. The occasional adjustments - these once a week or ten days apart should be sufficient.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) Is there anything I might do to assist the heart in adjusting itself to the high altitude? (A) As just indicated, don't be too active. While the high altitude tends to cause exhilaration, it also tends to cause the body in its activities to go a little bit faster; so it will have to keep quiet.

10. (Q) Any advice regarding the world changes beginning June 25th [See 3976-28, Par. 36-A, given on 6/20/43.], as they might affect my husband and me; also as to the attitude

for us to hold? (A) These, should there be ANY effect - these, of course, as indicated, depend upon determining minds of individuals and groups. These will not have anything to do with the environs of the husband at the time. These will have little to do with those environs for many, many, many months yet, even if there are the changes wrought. The attitude of all should be: "THY WILL BE DONE, O GOD! AND LET ME FIND MYSELF CONTENT WITH THAT I CANNOT CHANGE, AND TO CHANGE THAT WHICH I MAY THAT WILL BE IN CLOSER KEEPING WITH THEE."
