Time of Reading 11:40 to 12:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1101].
2. Now, as we find, there are some specific conditions that are disturbing the better physical functioning of the body; creating - through these pressures that are indicated - that which hinders the proper assimilation and distribution of that created in the glands and in the functioning of the organs. Thus the disturbing factors are produced in the physical forces of the body.
3. We find that these may be corrected in the present; thus not only making for the betterment of the condition but producing that which will overcome much of the disturbance and prevent greater disorders later on.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1101] we are speaking of, present in this room:
5. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find an indication of a subluxation that exists in the 4th dorsal. Also we find an expression of same that exists in the 2nd and 3rd, and a distressed condition in the 4th lumbar area. These produce these effects in the activity of portions of the body; thus producing that fluctuation in the blood stream itself that makes for an impoverishment which takes away the resistance. And the body becomes rather tired from exertions or activities, whether they be physical or mental. Thus the proper coordination is prevented between the cerebrospinal nerve forces through the very nature of the inflection and the suppression indicated, and the sympathetic or vegetative forces and imaginative forces. So, to study or to impel self to make for creative forces brings about headaches, brings about conditions that become rather aggravating to the whole body.
6. The decrease in the weight is indicated through the very manner of activity as shown through the blood itself. And a decrease in the numbers of the red blood cells is also indicated. Not to the extent that it has as yet
1101-4 Page 2
impoverished same, but there is the necessity of there being created more of the plasm through the white cellular forces for the resistances. For there is the lack of the proper eliminations, and these bringing disorders or distress call upon the red blood cells for more plasm in these directions.
7. Through the eliminations as related to the hepatic circulation there is also shown an indication of a pressure existing from these taxations in the right side, especially in the area about the ileum and caecum plexus. These are reflex conditions that exist from pressures in the nerve forces, and are indicated in the manner in which the circulation becomes deflected in the areas indicated.
8. As to the NERVOUS SYSTEM, we have indicated that in the 4th dorsal center, in the lumbar area also, there is found an incoordination. And there is a form of lesion in the upper plexus that affects the circulatory forces of the body as well as the coordination between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nerve forces of the body, producing an impoverishment more and more to the circulation to the head, the throat, to the organs of the sensory forces.
9. Thus there is produced a drying at times through the throat; an anxiety, as it were, to the plexus in those areas from the 4th dorsal to the circulatory forces through the head, neck and shoulders.
10. In the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, here we find - as indicated for the body - a great activity in the mental forces; especially as to CREATIVE activities in those fields that may make for the reproduction of, or the creative forces as related to, activities in the physical forces of others.
11. Also we find in the throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx, the effects of a disturbed circulation; the effect of the impoverishments that have come to the portions of the system itself.
12. Hence we find at times an anxiety or a pressure through portions of the body there.
13. In the heart's action, as may be indicated from disturbed circulation, while the pulsations vary, there is no organic disturbance.
14. In the activities of the digestive system we have rather a sympathetic reaction and a nervous indigestion, or the lack of appetite at times; while at other times the desires for certain characters or kinds of foods become rather paramount in the activities of the appetites. Yet these ofttimes do not satisfy, and at other periods the body will find that a very little will satisfy. Then that taken at times does not digest or assimilate properly. This is not
1101-4 Page 3
an organic but a functional disturbance, through the suppressions that exist - or subluxations in the area from which the organs obtain the impulse in the nerve forces, and the depletion in the circulatory energies.
15. The activity of the spleen, pancreas, gall duct and the hepatic circulation - as indicated, here we find - through the reflex from the lumbar disturbance - a reflex condition; so that eliminations are not normal. At one period we may find those conditions becoming rather disturbing in overactivity; the lack of the proper circulation through the suppressions in the cerebrospinal system makes for the necessity or the tendency of producing an excitement to the energies of the lymph circulation through the alimentary canal.
16. In the organs of the pelvis we find suppressed activity through the disturbance in the circulation as combined with those pressures in the lumbar area.
17. These, as we find, would all respond to those applications as may be made, for the corrections in THIS way and manner:
18. First we would add to the system those properties in a compound that would be prepared in this way and manner:
19. To 2 ounces of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin as the base, add (in the order named): Compound Simple Syrup..............1 ounce, Essence of Wild Ginseng..........1/2 ounce, Essence of Indian Turnip..........20 minims, Tincture of Stillingia...........1/4 ounce, Elixir of Calisaya...............1/2 ounce. (While the Elixir of Calisaya makes the compound very bitter, it will add to the system - in these combinations - the tendency for the blood supply, through the circulatory forces and the assimilation through the lacteal ducts, to prevent the inflammation that arises through separation of cellular forces in blood stream.)
20. Shake the solution well before the dose is taken, which would be half a teaspoonful four times each day; before the morning meal, before the noon meal, before the evening meal, and before retiring of an evening.
21. Also we would begin almost immediately with the applications of the CORRECTIONS for the conditions existent in the dorsal and lumbar area, osteopathically; that there may be a more alkalinity and the relieving of the pressure in these specific and particular centers as indicated; coordinating the ganglia along the system with those
1101-4 Page 4
corrections made in these specific centers. The 4th dorsal; and expression of same in the 2nd and 3rd, and a distressed condition in the 4th lumbar; coordinating through the vagus center and through the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, etc.
22. As to the matter of the diet, we would be mindful in these directions - as indicated from an unbalanced condition in the vitamins necessary for the keeping of an equal balance between the influences that are assimilated in the blood supply and the activities of the glands of the system.
23. We would rather give those things NOT to have too great quantities of.
24. Do not combine great quantities of proteins with starches or white breads or rice or potatoes; that is, these should be rather in great moderation. Starches should be used at times, but do not combine starches ever with large quantities of sweets. But sweets or carbohydrates should also be a portion of the diet; however, let these be taken at various periods in the diet - that is, not at the same periods with the starches. One may be taken at one meal, and the other at another meal, see? but do not combine these together.
25. With these being adhered to, we will find we will bring the normal conditions for this body, [1101].
26. Ready for questions.
27. (Q) Would it be advisable for me to have any orthodontistry done? (A) Not if these suggested applications are made in the present.
28. (Q) What is wrong with my teeth and what can be done to benefit them? (A) As indicated by the non-activity of certain portions of the body, the supply to these through the glands - especially from the thyroids - is deficient. Hence those applications indicated for the activity in the system of those properties in the compound; these act in this manner upon the system - combined as given. Those properties indicted bring an active force to the glands that will enable not only the enamel and the circulatory forces to the mouth and head to be increased, but the proportions of the calcium in the blood force or the body itself, the influence of silicon and iron will be increased by the activities of these properties UPON THE SYSTEM in such measures as to make for MUCH correction. Hence citrus fruit juices, especially orange juice, should be the greater portion of the diet soon of mornings.
1101-4 Page 5
The manipulative forces and the relieving of the pressures in the upper dorsal, and coordinating of those activities through the vagus center and through the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, will allow the circulation to be such as to benefit the teeth, the nails, the whole portions of the body. In fact, they will make a great deal of difference in the manner in which there will be the growth - or the luxurious growth of the hair itself.
29. (Q) Is what is known as root canal work the proper treatment for the lower right second molar and the upper right second bicuspid? (A) This will be locally very good. But as we find, if there will be the suggested treatments followed for the GENERAL condition of the body, and a local application of those properties combined in the compound known as Ipsab - used as a massage, MUCH of this condition with the teeth would be relieved without so MUCH local attention. And we would find the mouth in much better condition for such work to be carried out, than in the immediate future.
30. (Q) What should I do about the impacted wisdom teeth? (A) These of necessity will require their removal. But THIS also may be done much better - unless the condition produces too great a strain upon the nervous system - by changing the influences in the general physical forces of the body for improvements of the conditions. So this we would delay until we have given those things suggested at least the opportunity for their proper reaction. And we will find that with this massage with the Ipsab, at least ONE of these - yes, two of these - will come through normally.
31. (Q) What causes the wheeze on my chest that I get occasionally? (A) As indicated, this is from a pressure in the 4th dorsal - that makes for the slowing of the circulation through the thorax, and the activities in the circulation there. This is a sympathetic condition. Of course, there may be taken properties internally - or there may be conditions brought about - that would relieve this for the present; but unless the CAUSE IS REMOVED this will grow to be a greater disturbance - if allowed to remain.
32. (Q) What is causing the swelling on the little toe on my right foot? (A) Poor circulation from the 4th lumbar center. The circulation is slowed, you see. Hence the used energies, or those that become as drosses in the system from the energies of the body remaining, cause a disturbance of this nature. With the removal of the pressure in the 4th lumbar, and the
1101-4 Page 6
increasing of the circulation, we will find that this condition will disappear.
33. (Q) What is the best treatment for the corns on my left and right little toes? (A) The application of a Soda and Spirits of Camphor solution. Wet the Baking Soda with Spirits of Camphor and massage these night and morning. In the evenings these may be bound with same. At first it will produce a little soreness, but after the second day this will disappear - the soreness. Then we will find the system, with the corrections osteopathically, will absorb - and these will disappear.
34. (Q) How may I best clear up my complexion? (A) By increasing or stimulating the general circulation for coordination in the eliminations, as we have indicated; not only by the use of the compound but by the corrections osteopathically and the diet. With following these the body will not only have a better complexion but more "pep," more expectancy, and more of an optimistic outlook upon all experiences of the body.
35. (Q) What causes the body to lose weight? (A) As indicated. Do these things. First begin with the compound; but begin almost immediately with the osteopathic corrections. Then begin with the application of those properties in Ipsab for the gums, for the mouth. And we will find changes will come about, and these conditions will all disappear that have been disturbing the body.
36. (Q) What would be the best way for me to finish my education? [See 1101-2, Life Rdg., on 1/30/32] (A) Use the experiences thou hast had in the associations in every walk of life for making the application ESPECIALLY in the artistic temperament that is indicated, and we will find through these channels there may come the ways, the means, the manners for completion of those things as desired by the body.
37. (Q) Shall I specialize in one particular line? If so, which? (A) The artistic line.
