Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C.
1. GC: You will have before you the entity [1102], born October 9, 1908, in Washington, D.C., who now desires mental and spiritual guidance. Considering the record of the entity as given through this source on August 27, 1929, the activities and development of the entity since that time, and considering the economic and social situation of the entity at present, you will give such counsel as will enable her to set her activities in the proper path and make her life one of development for herself, and help and inspiration for others. You will answer such questions as may be asked:
2. EC: Yes, we have the entity now known as or called [1102]; together with the information that has been indicated through these channels, and the problems and conditions which confront the entity in the present.
3. In giving counsel and advice, many varied phases of the entity's problems, positions and conditions are to be taken into consideration; not only as respecting self and self's own mental and spiritual development, but as to those who are in the greater measure dependent upon the entity - and who should have, and need, those relationships, those associations and companionships of the entity, in order to meet THEIR own problems also.
4. For - as we have indicated, and as each soul finds as it analyzes its relationships to the economic situations, as well as to the social relationships one with another - life and its problems are not mere chance, but indicate the love, the mercy of a loving heavenly SPIRIT that gives each soul, each entity, the opportunity to meet SELF and to MAGNIFY that love, that mercy, which is the experience of those who seek to know His will.
5. It is true that problems arise of the nature that apparently there are the needs to find, or that individuals find that changes in relationships, changes in activity are apparently needed to find, the assurance in an economic way
1102-5 Page 2
or manner. Yet oft these are but what may be termed testing periods when choices that are to be made must take into consideration the problems that have been indicated.
6. And so with this entity - while in the present there is the appearance of anxiety, the need for assurance - not only from a spiritual development or manner, but a material manifestation of same in some measure or way in which there may be the feeling, the assurance of a greater material security, or greater material security for those dependent upon the entity - we find that there has been set in motion those influences that will in a short time change much of this in an economic way or manner.
7. Thus, this should not in the present be a great anxiety; rather that as to problems or as to relationships that there may be greater assurance of the aid, the help, that the self, the entity, may give the companion - as well as to those of the own body - in the needed environs for the greater development, for the conditions under which these ARE to become aware more and more of THEIR relationships in the life.
8. Then, in the present the advice or counsel would be:
9. For the next few months we would choose any secretarial activity in which there is the need for the careful consideration in copy, or in the executive activity in such a relationship; but NOT in those directions in which there is to be the great activity of the body-PHYSICAL - for this would only hinder or injure the greater or better abilities of the entity to meet those problems in more of a home building, in those periods beginning about February or March, or the like.
10. And then the activities would be in aiding to bring about better companionship, better relationships, in which there are the needs for each soul, each entity, each relationship to be manifested - as through the entity's activities.
11. Under the circumstances, these will not always be easy; but the entity seeks not that as the easy way, rather to fill that purpose the divine force would have manifested through the entity - in the lives and experiences of its friends, its companionships, its own - in a way in which the greater glories of a merciful heritage may be expressed, or found; which each soul that each soul that seeks to do His biddings may find, when putting the whole trust in Him - seeking, asking.
12. For, as ye quiet self in that peaceful assurance of His protection which He has promised, HE may speak with thee.

Thus may the work, the activities of the entity be brought into those manifestations that will give the greater material and mental assurances of an experience so enacted, so lived, as to fulfillthose purposes for which each soul - this entity - entered into this experience.
13. DO NOT, then, make those associations or connections that require or demand - except the temporary associations or affiliations.
14. And DO - in those periods indicated - make the home!
15. Ready for questions.
16. (Q) What should be my attitude toward, and relationship with my husband, considering present conditions? (A) As we have indicated, DO NOT relieve him of ANY obligation. Make it rather the more binding, that there may be the fulfilling of those obligations, those purposes for which you each were brought together.
17. (Q) Should I make any definite plans for our future together? (A) As just indicated, make plans for the temporary activity for the needed assurance in self. Make definite plans that in February or March, or when there begins the definite returns from the activities of the husband, the home is to be established. Each needs the other. As to places - these may change according to the necessity for the abilities of each to fulfillthe best. For, the abilities of the husband as the writer will increase with the sale of the present publication. These will be successful, and there will be the need of that companionship - not only of the self but of the child; for there is that SOME call KARMA - or that needed influence of each in the life of the other.
18. (Q) Should I remain in Washington for the present and continue living with my parents? (A) If this makes better conditions for the child, it is well. If it is the choice of self that this all be changed, then it may be changed. But as we find, Washington is the better for the next few months. October, November, December, January; then in FEBRUARY make a home!
19. (Q) Should I seek governmental work? If so, in what department? (A) As indicated, clerical work - that is, of the copy nature - would be more in keeping with the abilities for just a period, and not an indefinite period.
20. (Q) Through whom should I attempt to make the proper contacts for securing such clerical work? (A) Through the regular channels. There are those in many
1102-5 Page 4
of the various departments. There are needs in the departments as related to commerce. There are those as related to the interstate relations. There are those wherever there is needed a great deal of copy work. In such there are the greater channels for same.
21. (Q) Would it be advisable to place my daughter, [1521], in a nursery school? (A) Provided there is the daily contact with self, yes; without this, no.
22. (Q) Should I sell or continue to store my household effects on Long Island? (A) Do not sell! You'll need them - in the home!
23. (Q) Any further advice or counsel? (A) Satisfy self in mind as to the needs, and do not let ANY of the problems become as stumbling-stones to thy decisions; for this is that way HE went. He will not forsake thee nor break thy peace.
24. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self Copy to Ass'n file (We would refer you to three friends, and members of the Association, who might be able to help you get such a temporary job: Mr. Claude A.
