Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ala. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1112]; this we have had before.

2. To prevent in the present the cold, congestion, from becoming more of a complex condition, causing a great deal of disturbance through those weakened portions of the hepatic circulation and those activities with the bladder, the kidneys and the upper circulation, we would at once:

3. Apply an onion and meal (yellow meal) poultice. Not quite half and half but chopping the onions very fine and mix the meal with same; this on chest and throat, also on lower portion of kidneys and lumbar area. This, of course, should be warm; not hot but warm, see?

4. And apply over the abdomen, lower portion of the liver, equal portions Mutton Suet, Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor; this on heavy flannels and just as hot as the body can stand.

5. Give, in the present, about half a teaspoonful Syrup of Squill.

6. In the evening give two tablets of Compound Silosan.

7. On the morrow give a good enema; and stimulate along the cerebrospinal system, working from the brachial or the 1st dorsal and last cervical centers up and down.

8. As a laxative we would on the morrow also give equal portions of Syrup of Rhubarb and Syrup of Senna; not more than a teaspoonful of the combination, though this may be combined with other properties if most desirable.

9. Have more of the liquid and semi-liquid diet.

10. These as we find should halt and should prevent the complications as indicated, and bring the better conditions for the body.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) How long should the poultice be kept on? (A) Until cold or cool.

13. (Q) Should more than one application of poultice be used? (A) Depends upon whether this reduces the temperature and

the disturbance through the whole of the system. If this does not reduce it at the first, then repeat - but this as we find should relax the body so that by the morrow it would feel much better; then the eliminations and the stimulations by manipulations over the areas indicated. Keep up the diets until the body is very much improved, and a stimulation of Spirits Frumenti with egg, or Beef Juices and the like will be helpful.
