Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Body and enquiring mind - material affairs, etc.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1120].
2. In the physical forces of the body we find changes since last we had same here. Most of these as we find are for the betterment. There needs be those considerations in the massage, the corrections that have been indicated, that there may be the more perfect circulatory forces through the sensory organisms of the body.
3. There needs to be in the physical those precautions as respecting the diet, the mental attitude and the general reactions.
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) Please advise him as to his future with his present organization, The Sachs Quality Furniture, Inc., of N.Y.C.? (A) These associations are, as we find, in a very good position in the present. The activities of the body in connection and in relations are in the present very satisfactory. As to what may be accomplished, such things as we find are a growth with the entity's activities in such ways and manners as to make for constructive forces or influences in the associations in every way and manner. These would make for then the greater assurance for the material welfare as well as for a greater satisfaction on the part of the body itself.
6. (Q) What is his next development or advancement? (A) This to be sure depends upon the application of self in carrying forward the policies of the organization in relationships to those activities that are to be and may be carried on in that manner.
7. (Q) When will his next opportunity come and through whom? (A) This depends upon what is referred to as opportunities to the entity. Opportunities present themselves each day. For as has just been given, it is not by other than GROWTH that there are the greater opportunities or activities of
1120-3 Page 2
the body with an organization of such a broad activity. Thus opportunities present themselves in each of the new associations or in the manner of handling all of the general or regular trade. Thus these present themselves day by day. If this indicates the seeking outside, or an expansion, then these would refute much of that as has just been given. These should be asked constructively.
8. (Q) What city best for the body's future success? (A) That again depends upon what is the ideal or what are the ideas of the body. To expand in the associations in the present field, or to make for connections or associations in others. WE would give the better as being in the present field of activities; hence the present surroundings.
9. (Q) What aid or suggestion can David E. Kahn make? (A) In general line with the policies that have been indicated for the general activity in the production or assignment to certain characters or kinds of merchandise as may be used as a specific or a special or as a GENERAL line for specific or special trade.
10. (Q) What is the standing of [1120] with [1169] and how can he improve same? (A) All of these associations are very good, and these are the manners to keep in the good graces - as may be said - or for a development, the policies of [1120] and those set forth by the members of the organization should be kept as one. When these disagree, or there are misunderstandings or misconceptions, then these should be thrashed out in their general meetings.
11. (Q) Will [1120] be able to remain with [1169]'s institution as long as he desires the association? (A) As long as he is WORTHY of the association, would it be rather better to say. To remain without fulfilling or giving value for value would not be in keeping with constructive forces.
12. (Q) What will bring more financial advancement to [1120] in present connection? (A) The selling of more, or the making of connections or associations or the activities in the general distribution fields where greater quantities or the better qualities are distributed.
13. (Q) In what way will [1120] and David Kahn be able to help each other for their mutual benefit? (A) These should be worked out between them and not from here. These should be as constructive forces for each, not one leaning upon the other, not one dependent upon the other but as a cooperative influence may these be made for the
1120-3 Page 3
proper connections and associations for a helpful influence one to another. Cooperative, but not dependent.
14. (Q) Would B. Altman Dept. Store on 5th Ave. be a good opportunity in the Home Furnishing division? (A) Be very good. But the connections here have already been made, and there needs to be - if this is to be considered - the presentation of that as we have intimated so oft, a special character or special design that would be through these channels for this - as the policy in Altman's is - the ALTMAN quality.
15. (Q) What opportunity would there be in the Michaels Bros. business of Fulton St., Brooklyn? (A) These we do not find such good connections owing to some conditions internally that are not very well in keeping with those policies of either of the organizations through which this might be acted.
16. (Q) What opportunity would R. H. Macy offer, if any, to [1120]? (A) Only in those specific or special patterns or special designs, and those would be rather the SPECIALTIES than very easy to make associations with.
17. (Q) Should he attempt to make connections in other cities for his future advancement? (A) If this becomes the policies of the organization and his representation of same, then this would be well. But as we find if the present fields of activity and the associations are carried to their fullest extent, these would offer the better possibilities in the immediate - rather than branching out to other cities that might become rather overburdensome.
18. (Q) What changes are set for the personal or marital affairs, and when? (A) These, too, depend upon the choice of the entity. In considering such activities, such relationships, there has been given for the entity a type, a character of the associations. These are a matter then of will and choice. As to whether these would be this week, this month, this year or next, then, would depend upon that set as the policy or ideal of the body. These are not SET as in a pawn, but rather are ACTIVITIES of the mind of an individual!
19. (Q) What advice for [1120] to prepare himself? (A) First is it best to know self, know what is self's idea and self's ideal - and know as to whether these are of constructive natures or merely of selfish or indulgence natures. And unless they are of the constructive nature with their basis in spiritual forces or influences, these are not well. Not the goody-goody, no - but rather the doing right for Right's sake; not right for pay, not justice
1120-3 Page 4
for pay, not justice that this or that may be, but because it IS right and that it makes within self and in self's relations and in those ideals and ideas of self for the attractions of connections, associations and relations for their GENERAL benefit - and the opportunity for the entity to do good!
20. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Do this and it will be a whole life! LIVE a thing, not profess it! LIVE and act that way and manner as ye would have others live and act toward you! And in this you will see the good even in those that would despitefully use you, that would take advantage. Remember, vengeance is the Father's - not thine.
