Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1130].

2. As we find, there are disturbing conditions preventing the better physical functioning of organs in the body. And unless there are precautions and corrections made, these must eventually and gradually grow worse; becoming a constitutional disturbance that would be hard to deal with.

3. Then, as we find, these are conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of this body, [1130]:

4. First, as we find, there has been - through strain, and a disturbance in the cerebrospinal nervous system - an unbalancing in the impulses from the 9th and 10th dorsal centers to the activities of the organs of eliminations, or those organs that make for an activity in the circulation as in eliminating of certain elements that would become destructive to the body if remaining.

5. Hence, under this pressure or strain, as combined with disturbing conditions that arose from other activities externally, there is a pressure upon the functioning of the kidneys themselves; and especially in the right portion of same.

6. Thus the RIGHT kidney finds a more severe activity. Hence there is a heaviness, and an activity through the bladder that becomes disturbing to the body at times. An overactivity. Hence a general drain upon the nervous system of the body, producing headaches, producing a dizziness, producing a tiredness in the limbs, producing a dullness, a fullness under the eye; making for an irritation in a sympathetic reaction to the lymph circulation through the throat and bronchi. All of these are effects, then, of an impingement in the area.

7. Naturally, from this overactivity, there is gradually being builded a disturbance in the blood supply that, with the combined influence of the poisons thrown off in the system, (even with an excess activity does not dissolve the

1130-1 Page 2

uric acid through the system) will gradually build for a fullness through the activity of the organs of the pelvis, the genital organs and the bladder, in such measures or manners as to become distressing - unless corrections are made.

8. Then, in making the corrections that we find would be the more helpful:

9. Drugs alone would not be a full corrective measure, only creating an unbalancing that would - as the gradual changes came about in the increasing of the necessity of activities - produce either rheumatic, arthritic, or a general nervous condition that would make for more and more destructive forces in the body - and the harder to cope with.

10. Also we find that ONLY the corrective measures made in the manner in which the condition has increased would not eliminate entirely the disturbing conditions, any more than would the medicinal values in the system do other than change the chemical reactions for the body.

11. Hence, as we find, there will be the necessity of a combination of activities, that will be the more helpful for this body in the present.

12. First, then, as we find, we would have three to six osteopathic adjustments and manipulations; particularly in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th dorsal centers - to be sure, coordinating the lumbar axis and the upper dorsal and cervical area with the corrective measures that would be maintained by one making a perfect alignment through the cerebrospinal system.

13. After the sixth treatment, then REST a period of three weeks before FURTHER treatments of that nature would be taken.

14. And DURING the rest period from the osteopathic treatments, we would use or apply externally each day a compress over the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th dorsal area, or extending from the sacral to the diaphragm area of the body, with a combination prepared in this manner:

15. To 1 ounce of Mutton Suet, heated, add - in the ORDER named, and stirring each ingredient as it is added: Spirits of Turpentine................1 ounce, Spirits of Camphor...................1 ounce, Compound Tincture of Benzoin.........1 ounce, Oil of Wintergreen..................1/2 ounce. These are the proportions, but may be made in a smaller quantity; measured by teaspoon or tablespoonful; just sufficient that it may be applied (the solution) to a

1130-1 Page 3

flannel and laid over the area indicated, each evening during the whole rest period from the osteopathic treatments. While the Mutton Suet is still warm (not hot), stir in the other ingredients - in the order given.

16. After these packs or compresses have been kept up for a week, begin with taking also each day a tablespoonful of Watermelon Seed Tea, prepared in this manner:

17. Crush 1/2 ounce of Watermelon Seed and put in 1 pint of water. Do not boil but let steep, or almost come to a boil. Strain off and keep to be taken, a tablespoonful each evening until the full quantity is taken.

18. After the rest period of three weeks, then begin again with the osteopathic manipulations and adjustments. These should then be given in such a manner as to make for a perfect alignment from the 1st cervical to the end of the spine, and would be given twice a week. Also during this period of treatment there would be a full treatment to the abdomen, using the pressure or the pumping pressure for the lungs and the diaphragm, during this LATTER portion of the osteopathic treatments - for six treatments.

19. Throughout the whole period be mindful of the diet. Do not eat too much sweets at any time. When taken, the sweets should be obtained from such as honey; not cane sugars or candies. However, after the treatments have been followed for the whole outline indicated, the body may return to a near normal diet. Be mindful that these are the greater portion of the diet; not these alone, of course, but these as the main articles or foods taken:

20. Mornings - citrus fruit juices, or stewed fruits, and particularly the egg plant or the apple or the (rhubarb) peach and their combinations or alternating same. Pears, canned or raw. A little crisp bacon at times. Only whole wheat bread. Alternate these. Rather these than too much cereal, though when a cereal is taken (once or twice a week, but not at the same meal when citrus fruits are taken) use only the whole wheat - the crushed or cracked wheat.

21. Noons - always preclude same by a fruit juice drink, or vegetable juice, or meat broth; but the meat broths when taken should only be made from lamb, fowl or beef, and NOT with a great quantity of fat in any of these. Refrain from fat meats or great quantities of butter.

22. Evenings - buttermilk, vegetables well cooked but not with grease in same. The meats should be preferably lamb, fowl or fish; NOT shell fish, but salt fish or fresh water fish - baked or broiled.

23. These should be the main portions of the diet.

24. Do these and, as we find, we will bring for this body

near a normal condition - [1130].

25. Ready for questions.

26. (Q) What causes me not to sleep well at night? (A) The nervous pressures in the whole nervous system, and especially the reflex to the throat and head as indicated that is gradually being built up by those subluxations that make for pressures in the area; so that the activities of the kidneys and bladder and the general digestive system reflexly have been disturbed. Do those things indicated, then.

27. (Q) Any further advice for the body? (A) This is plenty of advice, if he will do it!

28. We are through for the present.
