Time of Reading 2:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion, with special attention to pressures in spine & further suggestions for correction of abnormal conditions)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1131] - this we have had before.

2. Now, as we find, there are some changes in the general physical conditions of the body. There has not been the removal of the pressures, however, that have existed in the cerebrospinal system. These have in part been relieved, in some of the tensions especially in the cervical region as given, but those in the upper dorsal - from which the supply of nerve energy and impulses are received for proper stimuli for drainage and distribution - have not been corrected; hence, as given, there are hindrances from the secondary cardiac plexus area - that is, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th dorsal area - those hindrances that prevent the proper distribution of energy for the carrying away of used forces in head, neck, nasal cavities, the antrums, the throat. While those tensions in the cervical region have been relieved somewhat, there needs to be the CORRECTING of the conditions that there may be the less tendency for that tired, heavy feeling that comes from any taxation either physical or mental, to relieve these strains and also to stimulate absorption and elimination from the system of that which is the basis of disturbances in the head, throat and soft tissues of face and head.

3. In making such corrections, as we find, these are in a circular nature; hence will need adjustments both lateral and of the circular nature, in the 3rd, 4th and 2nd dorsal area, with sufficient of the manipulation and correction kept in the whole of the cervical area to keep the physical conditions in such a state of activity that there is not only received the impulse for the better circulation through nerve energy and blood supply, but so increase the circulation from the blood supply there that there may be

1131-2 Page 2

the carrying away through those channels that make for the eliminating of the excess drosses that produce irritation at the present time.

4. To aid also those portions of the body so affected by these conditions of stagnation, and congestion, that exist in the soft tissue of throat and head, we would use this, which may be applied by self - compounded in this manner:

5. To 4 ounces of grain alcohol, add: Oil of Eucalyptus......................20 minims, Solution of Benzosol...................10 minims, Rectified Creosote......................3 minims, Tincture of Benzoin....................15 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp...................5 minims, Balsam of Fir...........................3 minims, Tolu in solution.......................20 minims. Use this both as an inhalant and as a spray. Keep in a glass container - at least an eight ounce container - glass corked. When ready for use as an inhalant, shake the solution together and inhale deep into the head through each side of the nostril; also during the same period of treatment inhale by shaking together and inhaling from the bottle deep into the throat and lungs; for this, as will be found, is penetrating and will relieve those pressures in the soft tissue of the face and head circulation. When used as a spray in the atomizer for the throat, we would take a teaspoonful of the solution poured out and add to same two tablespoonsful of distilled water, tepid. Put this in the atomizer and each evening before retiring use as a spray for the throat. This, as we find, combined with the correction made in the cerebrospinal system, especially in the dorsal area, and the rest kept in accord with same, will remove the trouble. Do this.

6. There should be at least, as given, six to eight adjustments, so that the adjustments may have sufficient time for the corrections to be made permanent and thus relieve the distresses.

7. For the general system - that is, for the building up of that tendency for anemia throughout the system - be mindful that the diet is such that there is the normal and above normal eliminations through the alimentary canal. This would be an outline; not that the conditions should be adhered to so severely as to become obnoxious to the body, but know - see that as is desired to be performed by the body, and so conduct the diet that these results are obtained; that is, that the eliminations are normal or above

1131-2 Page 3

normal, that the food supply carries sufficient of blood and nerve building properties, that there will be an increase in the amount of resistance and vitality that is builded in the system.

8. Mornings - principally cereals or citrous fruits, but these should NOT be taken at the same meal; either may be balanced with a small amount of crisp bacon, or coddled eggs - using principally or altogether the yolk. These will carry with them an abundant amount of resisting forces in the system, and aid in the elimination; also add to the blood building forces of the body. The cereals should carry an over amount of vitamins E, D, A and B; E and D especially, for these are the life resisting - or carry an over abundance of elements that add to the vitale of the body.

9. Noons - foods that will carry sufficient amount of the carbohydrates, and the sugars in quantities and qualities that are absorbed. If there are to be used desserts, or sweets, they should be taken at this period of the diet. Nuts; especially those that are of the fruit of trees - almonds, English walnuts, pecans, these especially. The walnuts known as Black Walnuts are not good for this particular body; neither are the Brazil nuts particularly good.

10. Evenings - proteins and leafy vegetables that are well-cooked. Fruits of all kinds are good, whether they be canned or fresh - except apples. The jenneting variety are good; these are all very good that are good for BAKING - and baked apples are well. No fried meats or foods are particularly good for the body.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) How often should he take the medicine that sprays in the throat? (A) This, as given, had better be taken or sprayed in the evenings before retiring, as this will allow the throat to be cleared, as it were, of accumulations of dust and atmospheric pressures through the day, and of the associations with gaseous forces or measures which the body may contact during the day of activity.

13. (Q) Whom should the body get to give these osteopathic adjustments? (A) Anyone who will make the adjustments according to that which has been given.

14. (Q) The body does not seem to have responded to the treatment prescribed in the last reading. What is the reason? (A) The reasons are as given, that not all the treatment was carried out!

15. (Q) The body had a cold after the first visit to the

1131-2 Page 4

physician. What was the cause? (A) Irritation to the muco-membranes, that was produced by the giving of an external medicinal property that laid the body open to the receiving of the atmospheric pressures, that brought on congestion.

16. (Q) Does the body need an operation? Please advise. (A) If these are carried out in toto as we have suggested, we do not find an operation would be necessary. After there has been taken the corrections, so that there may be the proper alignment, it would be well that the body take morning AND evening the head and neck exercises, to keep the circulation in accord with the better conditions for the body, as this: Begin by bowing the head as far forward as possible, five times; then as far backward as possible five times, bending back (that is, sitting erect and just the head and neck exercise); then to the right side, then to the left side; then the circular motion from the right to the left, and then from left to right. This should be taken morning and evening, sitting erect, for five to ten minutes. The first few periods may make for dizziness, but this will disappear and all organs of the head and neck will be strengthened and clarified, the vision will be better, the hearing will be better, and there will be no more taking cold so easily.

17. (Q) Was the sulphur prescribed used correctly? (A) This was very good. There were those properties in that given in the nostril that didn't work well with same; for it was as if the body had wet his feet, which makes cold easily taken.

18. (Q) How much sleep and rest does the body need? (A) Seven and a half to eight hours out of every twenty-four.

19. (Q) Is smoking injurious to the body, if not what brand should be used or would be best for the body? (A) Smoking in moderation will be helpful to the body. The best brands, we would find, are those that are of the purer tobacco that are not either toasted or mixed with foreign conditions. Those known as or called Piedmonts are the better.

20. (Q) Is tea and coffee injurious? (A) Coffee in moderation is very good; it is a food if taken without cream or milk - especially cream.

21. (Q) How much water should the body drink daily? (A) Six to eight tumblers or glasses full.

22. (Q) If the advice is carried out as instructed when should the body begin to improve?

1131-2 Page 5

(A) In four to five days there should be considerable change. After the first real adjustment is made there will be some soreness felt. After the second treatment this should be relieved. These adjustments or treatments would be given twice each week, as we find.

23. (Q) In what minerals is the body deficient? (A) As indicated from the type of foods suggested; iron, calcium and phosphorus - these are the ones deficient.

24. (Q) Please give the foods that would supply these. (A) We have given them; cereals that carry the heart of the grain; vegetables of the leafy kind; fruit and nuts as indicated. The almond carries more phosphorus AND iron in a combination easily assimilated than any other nut.

25. (Q) Should the body need a laxative, what is best for it to take? (A) Watching the diet, this will not be particularly necessary. If there should be an indication of over acidity (which may be found by the use of the litmus papers, of course, in the saliva), the better would be as this: Milk of Magnesia combined with Milk of Bismuth that is pepsitized, see? that is, Milk of Bismuth with Pepsin - a dessertspoonful, not quite a tablespoonful, with five to six drops of Lactated Pepsin - Essence of Lactated Pepsin - in same. This should be taken one day. The next day take a tablespoonful of the Milk of Magnesia. These would work well. If there is not the indication of acid, then we would use the laxative known as Phenolax - one wafer.

26. (Q) Suggest best sugars for body. (A) Beet sugars are the better for ALL, or the cane sugars that are not clarified.

27. (Q) Please give specific advice as to the correct attitude, both mentally and spiritually, that the body should have in order to become physically fit to do its bit in the world. (A) First, as indicated, as the body maketh those efforts to bring about normal, perfect health in the physical functionings of the body, KNOW that such is being done! See that being accomplished by the efforts, and by the activities of the body; not merely as rote. In the mental attitudes of the body this same condition should prevail; that is, know in self mentally WHY such and such mental or physical activities are predominant in the actions of the body. In knowing these, there will be that basis for such that has its inception through the concepts

1131-2 Page 6

of the body as to spirituality in the actions. These make for well-rounded conditions in the activity of a body. Do that.

28. (Q) What is the present condition of the blood? (A) As indicated, there is a super-abundance of the ashes or drosses in the system which deplete the blood supply toward less than should be the normal amount or numbers of the red blood cells. There is no indication of bacilli, other than toxic forces from self's own reactory conditions in system.

29. (Q) Any improvements in the organs of the body since taking the treatments? (A) There have been improvements in the organs of the body, especially so in those of the glands in their abilities to differentiate in the substances that are necessary for the conditions to bring about normalcy. This may be best indicated to the body as to the difference felt in the desire for various foods or various surroundings, that if analyzed show a change.
