Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1131]; this we have had before.
2. There are some changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here. Through the general functioning of the organs of the body we find a tendency towards a betterment.
3. In SPECIFIC manners, as we find, conditions show for not an improvement but rather a tendency for disturbing conditions that produce a great amount of irritation and aggravation to nerve forces of the body. Thus, from the very location of same, reactions are caused that bring about disturbing factors in the sensory forces of the body - hence the reactions through same bring the greater amount of distress.
4. As we find, in the soft tissue of the nasal passages, through the antrum and those areas that connect same with the throat, there is a disturbing condition produced by what may be called a searing of tissue already under stress from a catarrhal effect that has existed - as we have indicated heretofore. This remains as the source of the nerve reaction and the source of the greater amount of distress, through the manner or the character of dripping and oozing for the throat that builds an irritation to the circulatory forces. Thus the natural reactions are to produce toxic forces in the circulation that must be cared for, in the manners of elimination in the cycle of activity for each portion of the circulatory forces. Hence at times distresses are caused in portions of the body that may be apparently far remote from the activities of the disturbing factors.
5. In the present we find that those things which would bring relief may appear simple and out of the ordinary; but if these are adhered to conscientiously, and in a manner in keeping with the activity FOR the removal of same - not as
1131-3 Page 2
mere rote, but as accomplishing a purpose in the physical functioning of the body - we may remove these conditions from the system entirely.
6. First, then, we would have an inhalant prepared for the body - in this way and manner:
7. To 4 ounces of Pure Grain Alcohol, in a 6 ounce container (preferably with a glass cork), add - in the ORDER named: Oil of Eucalyptus.....................40 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp..................5 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin..........15 minims, Canadian Balsam.......................10 minims, Tolu in Solution......................20 minims. Keep this tightly corked except when used. And use same after taking THESE exercises:
8. Of morning upon arising take the head and neck exercise; circulating the head first, very slowly, three to five times to the right, then three to five times to the left. Sitting or standing erect, bend the head BACKWARD slowly, just as far as it can, three times; then forward three times; then to the left three times; then to the right three times. Take the TIME to do these, slowly but definitely; not as rote but as doing an act for the accomplishing of a purpose.
9. Then the exercise of the arms, as straight out from the body, either side. Then bend backward, with the arms attempting to touch in the back; three, four, five times. Then to the front, or from the back to the front.
10. After these exercises, inhale - shake the solution and inhale - the fumes through the nostrils ONLY; two, three times through each nostril.
11. In the evening just before retiring, take rather the circular motion exercise of the body from the hips up, first; standing erect, hands on hip, circling the body as from the hips. Then bend forward, without bending knees, the fingers towards the floor. Then standing erect, hands on hips, take the circular motion again of the head and neck.
12. AFTERWARD, shake the solution and inhale the fumes in the nostrils; three, four, five times.
13. Keep this up until more than three-fourths of the solution has been inhaled through the natural activity of the compounds acting one upon another.
14. In the matter of the diets, keep away from fried foods; but eat as much of the raw fresh vegetables with EVERY meal as possible. Not so much for breakfast, but tomatoes and lettuce may be even included there. Though only a small quantity may be eaten at first, these will act with the
1131-3 Page 3
keeping of the system clear from those tendencies of irritation to the throat and to the digestive system.
15. Keep the eliminations near normal, and full, complete evacuations each day.
16. Do these and we will bring the bettered conditions for this body, [1131].
17. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) What laxative for eliminations would be best? (A) Rather those carrying the Podophyllum are better for this body. To be sure, the Podophyllum would be in very small quantities, or a very small portion of such compounds. But the more PREFERABLE manner for correct eliminations is to alter the diet as indicated.
19. (Q) Which compounds would be best, containing Podophyllum? (A) Podophyllum is a base from which MANY are made. Choose any of these that are desired by the body.
20. (Q) How much water should the body drink each day? (A) Six to twelve ounces.
21. (Q) What bread? (A) Whole wheat, always.
22. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Be consistent and be persistent with the corrections for self; just as the body is in its dealings with - or demands of dealings from - others. For as ye sow, so shall ye reap - even in thine OWN body.
