This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of David E. Kahn, 44 West 77th St., Apt. 14-W, New York City, this 14th day of April, 1936, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [...], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [261].

1. EC: Wood School - There's a separation from that.
2. We have those desires and those conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of this body, [1146].
3. As we find, these conditions are in their incipiency prenatal influences. It is true there are physical conditions produced, and the reactions are of the nature that they may be from a pathological viewpoint produced - or the effects of conditions having arisen in the physical forces of the body. But the weaknesses and the lack of the proper coordinations of the physical and mental reaction, and the ability for cooperative forces to be produced within the physical functioning, arise from their first impulse in those conditions existent from which this plasm came into physical experience.
4. Hence, as we find, while there may be those applications that may aid in training the faculties of the developing body, if these were taken under considerable changes that will necessitate the action as these faculties of the mental and bodily function develop, we may bring - by consistent and persistent application - the much nearer normal conditions for the body. Thus there may be the care and the attention and the development of those spiritual influences within same as to produce or bring about greater changes than are apparent in the main at present.
5. There are hindrances in the pathological effect of the coordinations in the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic systems, as related to the functioning of portions of the body; especially in the manner in which the assimilations have taken place or do take place within the body for the functionings that carry on from the direct association and connection of the umbilicus centers through which those variations were produced in those periods when there were
1146-1 Page 2
the gestations, and those activities from this particular flow for the body into its developments.
6. These, as we find, show a condition wherein there is a stricture or an adherence to tissue in same. Hence we have at times a violent reaction through the nerve forces in making their coordination in those areas to the centers along the cerebrospinal system in which the sympathetic or vegetative nerve system coordinates with the impulses for the various developments of the activity to the sensory system.
7. For (this is not always understood), the various centers from which impulses to the activity of the sensory reactions receive their impulse arise from the pineal and the adrenals in their coordination with the plexus along the whole of the system itself. These become generated from the centers in the lacteal and the umbilicus plexus from which assimilations from food reactions to the system take place.
8. Then, as we find, we would add to the body those vibrations from the metals in their state in which the vibratory influences of same may be carried to the bodily function itself. Thus we would gradually add to the abilities of the system through its pathological reaction to carry upon the nerve forces of the body the impulses to the functioning of the organs themselves as to create a normal balance; that IN its training, in its development by activities in itself, there may be received the greater reactions for the coordinating forces with such trainings and such elements.
9. Then, we would add to the body those vibratory forces from the low electrical forces of the Wet Cell Appliance. However, in this particular instance we would change somewhat the character of the applications as well as the vibrations themselves that are added to the system - in this manner:
10. Use the low static or generative forces of electrical vibrations from the Wet Cell Appliance, but in making the combination of the metals we would first change these so as to make for an activity wherein there would be: Copper Sulphate............2 lbs. (rather than 1 1/2), Sulphuric Acid C.P.....1 1/2 ounces, Zinc Solution............1/2 ounce (instead of 3 drams), And NO CHARCOAL in this solution!
11. The attachments would be made in this manner:
12. The copper pole with its correspondent plate or anode that would be of copper and of the small diameter would be attached each time first; one day to the 3rd and 4th dorsal
1146-1 Page 3
center, the next day to the 4th lumbar plexus. Thus the locomotory influences from the bursae about the ganglia through which these vibrations pass may be variated or variegated to the activity of their associations or connections with the adrenal and pineal reactions to the nerve forces of the body itself.
13. The plate through which the solutions are to pass (for we will vary these) is to be of nickel, cup-shaped, and the pole also of nickel, would be attached each time last; and in each case attached to the umbilicus and lacteal duct plexus.
14. Make the attachments for thirty minutes each day.
15. Two days use the solution of Gold, that is of the nature or vibratory rate of three grains to each ounce of DISTILLED water; and use about six ounces of the solution.
16. Then for two days use the same character of connections but use the Double-Strength Atomidine as the carrier through which the vibratory forces enter the system.
17. After each of these treatments there should be a general EASY massage from the central portion of the body to the tip of the toes, and from the 9th dorsal toward the head and to the tip of the fingers. To be sure, make for associations with this connection in the brachial plexus, in the 1st and 2nd and 3rd cervical center or axis, and around the neck and through the vagus center extending to the lung forces themselves.
18. Do these for a period of at least three vibrations, or three periods of charging this Appliance - which should be for twenty-eight to thirty days' duration for each.
19. Then we would give further instructions.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) Referring to a change, did you mean a change of environment? (A) Change only for the applications as being made for improvements. Bodily forces are electrical, and arise from the low forms of electrical vibrations rather than from the higher or those that are created by the influences that make for direct or alternating current. Hence rather use these that we have indicated. Create the change in vibrations by this change in the form of the Appliance as indicated. After the third period of these charges, we would give further instructions.
