Time of Reading (In living room 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. of Cayce home) (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: We have the body here, [1149].
2. Now, we find there are conditions existent in the physical forces of the body that have, will and do produce disorders in the physical functioning of the body. These conditions, as we find, are rather of the specific nature, while the effects that have been produced in the developing and functioning body have been varied, and these conditions have been rather of an indeterminate period in affectation, though they be of specific character - but the various applications to the body, and for the physical functioning and the developing physical body - in the structural portions and in the variation of the organs and their attributes in their functioning - CAUSE changes.
3. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [1149] we are speaking of:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find rather low in quantity, as well as in quality, being a tendency towards anemia; not of that nature that anemia being the CAUSE - rather the RESULT of existent conditions; for with the tendency of there being inflammation as to produce a temperature in the system, the attempt of the system to build that necessary through the plasm of the system's forces themselves to meet the NEEDS of the conditions has tended to REDUCE the red blood, or the replenishing forces in same, and make for an excess in that plasm that is destructive to OUTSIDE influences - or abnormalities in this direction. THAT the character of the anemia.
5. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, OR SYSTEMS, here we find rather the seat or the cause of the disorders. While the conditions that have RESULTED have been more to the functioning organs - as of digestion, assimilation, elimination, pulmonary elimination, capillary circulation to the organs of the head themselves, these are results rather than the causes of the conditions. There has existed for a period - changed, as given, by the development - or through
1149-1 Page 2
administrations for the benefit of the physical organism - conditions in the lumbar and sacral region that are the cause or the seat of the troubles, and the pressures as produced in impulses to the various portions of system have brought and do bring about those conditions that are detrimental or harmful to the normal DEVELOPMENT of the body, physically and mentally - though, as we will find, the mental attributes of the body are and will be - unless under greater distress than indicated in the present - rather the exceptional and ABOVE the normal, than below. The pressures existent in the lumbar and the sacral region make with the sympathetic system an incoordination whenever there is a cycle of development between the system as related to the physical assimilations in body. Hence the effect that is produced in the kidney area at times, again in the digestive system, as to make for a small orifice in the pyloric end of the stomach itself, tending to make for an improper position of same. This makes for the torpidity that is seen in liver; the pancreas become over active and the spleen engorged. These are natural results of the lymph and emunctory circulation at the height of such depressions, for they cause - as it were - a spasmodic activity of the assimilating system, which affects - then - the liver, the spleen, the pancreas, the duodenum in its activity, and especially engorging those GLANDS of the lacteals. Hence the acidity that is commonly seen in a system becomes magnified in this condition.
6. In the outward appearances that may be seen, as indicate these conditions:
7. That rigidity that is seen in the upper cervicals, in the nape of the neck itself, and that existent in the upper sacral region as to the indentations - or as DIMPLES, even, in the conditions in the body, just above the hips themselves, or the hip points. These are OUTWARD manifestations of those EXISTENT lesions that exist, that PRODUCE the disorders - or are the causes of the disorders in the system. The incoordination here, in the lower end of the cerebrospinal system, and the attempt of the sympathetic system to do that activity of the impulses as carried through the nerve forces, makes for the tendency for hallucinations in the nerve reflexes to the functioning system, JUST as a muscle or nerve that becomes taut or tightened produces an impulse of inactivity or overactivity in another direction.
8. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in the brain forces, as indicated, the impulse and the coordination of reflexes are hindered at times - yet the DEVELOPMENTS,
1149-1 Page 3
unless changed - or if made more IN ACCORDANCE, will make for an ABOVE normal MENTAL development.
9. In the organs of the sensory system - only at periods, when there is an overactivity in the central nervous system - from either that of an exceeded pulsation - do these find any defect. No organic or functional disorder, save as spasmodic conditions may produce in the system.
10. Throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx - these we find, ORGANICALLY, show normalcy; though, in an excessive activity in the emunctories and the lymph circulation, these OFTEN produce an over abundance of eliminations through these channels, in the form of phlegm, or irritation in the organs affected; making it easy for the contraction of cold, or for the tendency of hot or cold flushes, or sweats at night.
11. In the digestive system - here, as we find - as has been outlined - there are those disorders that result from, NOT a cause OF distresses for the system; though the distresses often show their effects in the functioning of organs and the attempt of digestion in the system when seemingly those things or properties given HAVE agreed, suddenly disagree.
12. Heart's action, save under the stress, near normal - and a tendency of a quick pulsation.
13. Liver, spleen, pancreas - these show for those distresses that are seen through or under the functioning of the nerve reflexes at times, when an overactivity of the body - an overactivity either through physical OR mental - may make for an over abundance of impulses without an outlet for same.
14. The hepatic circulation - abnormal, in that the variation in the kidneys and the liver shows for this effect of the pressures in lumbar and sacral area.
15. In meeting, then, the needs of this DEVELOPING body - for the developments must be taken into consideration, yet not so wholly relied upon as to feel that the growth will make for normalcy without proper impulses from all radial forces as affect the system, especially as to those conditions when the digestion - and especially assimilating system, WITH the poles - as it were - of the body - are affected in same. These corrected, through the removal of the pressures in the lumbar, sacral and the lower dorsal area - keeping the system in an even balance THROUGHOUT the body, keeping those proper vibratory forces in system as will make for the proper coordination - both as to nerve impulses and as to coordinating system, with the proper coordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal established - we will bring, WITH the development, a normalcy to this body. These we will find by the use of the
1149-1 Page 4
proper adjustments, with the attaching of the vibratory forces in system that will keep an equilibrium, and by watching closely the diet as the body develops in its building.
16. The diet should be those that are of easy assimilation, but well balanced as to all of the vitamins NECESSARY to the developing system - especially those that will make for vitamins A, C, and D. These will be found to be made most effective by those vibrations from the Infra Red lights, for THEY will work more with the structural portions of the body - from which the red blood cells or red blood corpuscles receive their impulse for proper building and proper balance. These we would add at least TWICE each week, keeping as much of the vital forces that may be gained from sunshine and air as possible. Ready for questions.
17. (Q) What treatments and where, and how often should they be given? (A) As indicated - the manipulation and adjustment, that will relieve those pressures which have been indicated to exist - and that may be seen and found in the sacral, the pelvic, the dorsal and the lumbar regions. These treatments we would give at least TWICE, or three times each week - ONE only during the week being an adjustment. At LEAST ONCE each week the Infra Red lights, for the structural portions of the body. The vibrations for equalization would be from the Radio-Active Appliance (plain), making a circle of the body, and this would be given when the body is made or induced to rest - preferably during the day - for at least one-half hour in the beginning. The diets - these should be looked after day by day, meeting the various changes. These, as we find, would be the proper methods.
18. (Q) What can take the place of Infra Red light where it is not available? (A) The more sunshine will take SOME place, but the Infra Red is needed more for structural portions. While it has ordinarily been given that the ultra violet is beneficial, and the greater or better ultra violet is the sun itself - so that the rays are not obstructed - but these do not make for as PENETRATING for the bone structure itself, for the bone covering itself, IN a DEVELOPING body, as will the Infra Red light. This we would arrange to give at least once each week, anyway.
19. (Q) Baby [1149] has vomited very frequently since he was six months old. What is the cause and remedy of this? (A) This produced by that pressure existent in the lumbar region, which causes - as outlined - that closing of the orifice of the stomach itself in pyloric end, which causes
1149-1 Page 5
the stomach to regurgitate or throw UPWARD - rather than to cause the system to carry through for proper digestion. At such periods there is seen that little or no digestion takes place. The lacteals are formed rather into acids and these produce a bubbling up, closing of the orifice in the pyloric end, and throwing off in the upper portion; or, through the contraction of the pyloric end, the opening in the cardiac end becomes as a loosened bag, and the natural tendency is - even as the body, if it will stoop forward very quickly, makes for a dizziness, and a tendency to go forward - see? When we remove these pressures in the system, that exist in the lumbar and sacral, we will find that the orifice will function in a near normal manner. Don't expect it to happen in a day! but it is a GROWTH in a body, and will gradually be on the improve.
20. (Q) What is the cause and remedy of the poor appetite all his life? (A) This the same condition. When assimilation does not take place, and foods DO NOT pass into the system for assimilation or digestion, there is a FULLNESS in the system, or stomach - yet the stomach itself is SMALLER than ordinary. The remedy will be the correction of the lesions that prevent this passage, that causes the tendency for temperature, the inactivity in the liver, and these - we will find - will relieve the disorder.
21. (Q) What is the cause and remedy of nervousness he has had all his life? (A) This is indicated from the pressures, as given. These have been very closely outlined, as an incoordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal system. This another effect, NOT a cause - an EFFECT from pressure in the lumbar and sacral region.
22. (Q) Was his recent appendicitis operation necessary? (A) No.
23. (Q) Will he be improved by it? (A) He will be improved by it rather by the act of the system's being allowed to DRAIN itself, than the tendency of it being of material benefit - unless the drainages of the system and the adjustments of those pressures that are really PRODUCING this disorder are taken advantage of.
24. (Q) He has had a pain in his stomach before and after his operation, about six months. What is the cause and remedy? (A) The same as outlined. This rather in the region of the lacteal ducts than the stomach itself - the small opening in the orifice, or the small orifice of the pyloric end, tightened by the muscular forces, by the pressure existent in the lumbar and sacral. An upper reflex from the centers
1149-1 Page 6
known as the solar plexus, or the solar plexus and the 4th lumbar plexus coordinant in the region of the lower portion of liver, or the lacteal duct center, produce this tightening here.
25. (Q) What is the cause and remedy of his sucking his thumb? (A) This not an unnatural condition, when there is the desire in the body for a gratifying of an appetite that is not appeased by those NORMAL developments in the body. The remedy will be to correct the condition for normalcy and the gradual growing out of same. This business of doctoring the thumbs or giving things to prevent, is foolish!
26. (Q) How long will it be before he is a normal child in development? (A) From nine to fourteen months would bring a normal development, were these adhered to, with the changes made - or that are to be necessary with a developing body.
27. (Q) He seems undernourished and subnormal in growth. What is the cause and remedy. (A) This has been given. This has been indicated as to how, why - for he IS undernourished, for the system's attempting to meet the needs of the conditions! That's why these outward appearances show how that, UNLESS corrections are made, there will be pones along the back of the neck - there will be conditions in the lower portion of the spine itself as to make for inactivity in the lumbars. These are OUTWARD appearances that will develop unless corrections are made. Do that.
28. (Q) What is condition of his blood? (A) This has been given. The change in the diets that will be necessary for the assimilation. Do not over feed, but do not under feed the body. Keep the vitamins necessary well BALANCED. Those applications of Infra Red add vitamin C a great deal better than will any food values, for these are created (which is as of stamen itself) - that ability within the body to store energy and vitality, to prevent abnormal activities when impulses to sympathetics are manifested. Hence the application. Do this. We are through for the present. Two copies to parents Copy to Ass'n office " " Research Department " " Cayce Hospital
