1. EC: (In repeating the name, it sounded like "... Wakefield ... - ... W. ..." - the "Wakefield (?)" was so low it could scarcely be heard.) [GD's note: We later learned that his middle initial stood for a name sounding similar to Wakefield - Whateley].
2. Yes, we have the records here of the entity now known as or called [1151].
3. As we find, in interpreting these records that have been made by this entity, that have been experienced by the entity even in the present, there is a purpose for each entrance into the earth's plane; that there may be a fulfilling, a meeting of self in those experiences that may be applied in the relationships of an entity or individual to its fellowman.
4. The experiences in the interims of the earthly sojourn, then, are also developing periods in those environs or consciousnesses around or about which the entity has builded - and through which it passes in its experience towards the gaining, the acquiring, its relationships with the Creative Forces.
5. Hence the soul-eternal is constantly in its activity towards meeting those influences, those activities that have been indicated may be seen and experienced in the action of each soul in its going to, meeting, acquiring that relationship it bears with the Creative Influence.
6. The astrological sojourns, then, as they may be termed, are as an indication of the manners, the means through which the entity has passed in attaining its present relationships.
7. The experiences in the earth are as the indications of those forces that come rather as the urges through the
1151-1 Page 2
emotions of the body in its present experience.
8. In this entity's experience, then, we find those influences of Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, becoming a portion of the innate influences that arise in the present sojourn.
9. In Jupiter we find those relationships making for urges and activities in which groups, individuals, masses are affected by the activities of the entity.
10. The influences from the sojourns in Venus make for the friendships, the closer relationships with duty; those influences in which love as a motivative factor in the experience of the entity becomes as a RULING influence. Not that the emotions rise above duty; not that the duty is not measured with the love and emotions in the body. Yet these all become a portion of the entity's experience. Hence friendships and relationships with individuals come to mean a great deal in the experience of the entity. And the lesson that has been gained by the entity through a sojourn in the earth with Love Divine makes for an experience for the entity in such relationships such that INDEED there is understood, "A friend sticketh closer than the brother." In these relationships, obligations or moral influences that arise from associations become as a portion of the entity in its dealings with its fellowman. Hence the high moral, mental abilities of the entity. And those that may claim the entity as a friend are fortunate indeed.
11. From Saturn we find the influences making for that as would be a channel in the associations and activities of the entity. NOTHING to the body loses its value in the experience of the entity. Hence many influences and experiences that to others would be as the ashes of disappointment or ruin are used by the entity in making for the closer union of activities. And as has been described by those who have given an illustration of the spiritual forces, the entity rather buckles on the armor of the Lord, pushing forward into those influences of the fruits of the Spirit that may be manifested in the earth. Thus it meets these in such ways and manners as to bring hope and cheer and understanding in the experiences of many, as well as developing self in such measures and manners as to make for the life experience being WORTH WHILE throughout EVERY disappointment, EVERY experience, either of advancement or adversity.
12. As to the experiences in the earth, then, these are those that deal with the forces arising as a portion of the entity itself:
13. Before this we find the entity lived in the earth during
1151-1 Page 3
those periods when there were just the beginnings of the settlings in this particular land, in that now known as or called a portion of what was then Vinland.
14. The entity was among those peoples who settled about Providence Town, or OF that people but being born or brought up in the environ of the land of the present nativity.
15. Then in the name Wakefield, the entity gained. For those tenets that were made a portion of those particular settlements were that those who worked not, those who labored not, did not enjoy the fruits of the labors of those in and about what is now Providence.
16. In the experience the establishments of relationships with the natives, making for the relationships of those lands from which the entity's people had come, were a portion of the entity's activity.
17. Naturally arising to a position of one to whom many looked for counsel, for advice, the entity would not, did not accept those positions as would be called of a political nature. Yet the advice, the counsel, and the activities of the entity during those experiences brought much of help, much of hope and aid to the peoples during that sojourn.
18. In the present from the experience has oft been the experience when others have counseled with the entity for their own activities, as to their own investments, as to their own relationships.
19. Hence the entity in the present will find that dealing with those things that are as a portion of NATURE'S storehouse will be the activities in which the entity may find an active service that will bring joy, that will not only bring to the entity experiences that are worth while but the material gains that will make for opportunities that will become the more valuable in the experience of the entity.
20. So, those things that grow, or those things that are stored, or those things that have to do with the fruit of the soil, the storehouse of the soil, the things that NATURE prepares.
21. For, as will be seen, those activities of the entity throughout its sojourns in the earth have been in those fields where man and God meet as one - in nature.
22. Before that we find the entity was in that land and period when the Master walked in the earth, when there were the teachings in the temple and the journeys through those portions of the land in and about Jerusalem.
23. The entity then was among the Roman peoples; not as a soldier, not as a lord or a king; RATHER as one that REPRESENTED the Roman peoples. Not as a tax gatherer, but
1151-1 Page 4
as to the ABILITIES of the peoples to contribute, not only of the fruits of their labors but of their activities in the various fields of service.
24. During those periods of the last journey or the TRIUMPHAL journey into Jerusalem, the entity then became the more closely associated with, having the better understanding of, that being presented to a stiffnecked people; that as touched the hearts, the minds, the lives of those peoples during that experience.
25. And the entity was with those proclaiming the Resurrection, and those that heard the teachings. For the entity was present in the Inn when He walked to Emmaus; present when there was the arising to call to meet those that would come after Him and learn of Him.
26. Hence in the experience of the entity there has come in the present that coming again of Him into the presence of the entity, making sure, making secure in the inmost feelings and experiences of the entity; not only His thought of men but the fulfilling of those promises that have been and are a portion of man's heritage, that "If ye abide in me, I in thee, ask and it shall be given thee - for through such may the Father be glorified in you through me."
27. These are a portion of the experiences of the entity. Hold fast to that thou hast gained in those experiences as thou didst gain in that experience as ye followed with those of His disciples into that hill from which He ascended to those glories that had been prepared by Him, for Him, in THAT land, in that experience, where - as He gave - "I go to prepare a place, that where I am there ye may be also. The place ye know, the way ye know."
28. Then in the name Philoas [GD's note: EC spelled it. See 1151-10 pronouncing the name Romacio (GD's sp.). Perhaps he used both names in that period?] and of the Roman city, yet the entity made for those experiences, those developments during that sojourn that brought help, aid to many.
29. Thus may the experiences of the entity in the present. For as the Master gave, not in some great deed that ye may do, but just being kind, just being gentle, just being faithful, just being true does the life of an individual, of a person - as in thine self - become as a living example known among men.
30. For it is here a little, there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept, but LIVING the love - the law. For this indeed is the way, the manner that those things that have been prepared for those who love His coming, His Presence, may be known - that He abides forever.
1151-1 Page 5
31. Before that we find the entity was in the now called Persian or Arabian land, during those experiences when there were the turmoils from the raids upon the Persian lands.
32. The entity then was among the Persians who came into the 'city in the hills and the plains,' aiding that leader, that teacher there to make practical in the experiences of those that came as wanderers or as seekers the proclaiming of the perfect day of those that sought for healing in body, in mind, and in the understanding of those simple truths that have ever been, will ever be, the way that binds the hearts and minds of men to their relationship to the Creative Forces, "As ye do it unto the least of thy brethren," the manner in which ye mete thine activities of love, of hope, of patience, of way of living to thy fellowman, ye do it unto thy God!
33. For as thy brother, as thy fellowman is as thyself a representative, a portion of that Love, that Hope, that SOUL that is the kinship to the Father-God, so as ye treat thy fellowman ye do it unto thy Maker.
34. In the experience the entity aided the teacher, the leader Uhjltd, in ministering to those of every walk of life; aided also in making for the application and use of the storehouse of the land.
35. For not only did the entity aid in the gathering of the fruits of the soil but of the sea, the rivers, of nature's storehouse.
36. Then in the name Endresa, again - later - though not affecting this present entity, THIS was the same entity that wrote a portion of Esdra [?].
37. Before that we find the entity was in that now known as a desert land, or in the Mongoloid land.
38. The entity then made for those activities with the children of On [?]. And when there were the gatherings of those that made for a correlation of the teachings from Saneid, Ra, Og and Tau and the various lands, the entity represented his OWN land in those gatherings.
39. Hence those things that pertain to the activities in many lands find an interest for the entity in its present experience.
40. The entity may, through associations, again one day be the means of aiding in rediscovering the temples in that land.
41. Then the name was Ouji.
42. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
43. In the material things, as indicated for the entity, in applying self in those things that become a part of nature's
1151-1 Page 6
storehouse, or as the fruits of the field or of the land, the entity may materially engage in such for material sustenance.
44. In the spiritual and MENTAL development, hold fast to Him thou hast seen, thou hast known. For indeed, as thou didst proclaim then, He alone has the words of eternal LIFE! And they that follow in HIS way, in HIS teachings, shall know the truth that shall indeed make them free!
45. (Q) Will I fulfilla destiny of national service in this life? (A) Holding fast to those urges that are embraced in those suggestions given, and those teachings made by Him, you WILL! For He will stand by thee, and if He be for thee - who can gainsay thee anything? BELIEVE! For He hath given, "Though the heavens and the earth may pass away, my word, my promise shall not pass away." Who hath overcome death? WHO hath entered into the Holy of Holies for man, save He as THOU hast seen come IN into death, even He Whom ye saw enter into the glory of glories!
46. (Q) Am I proceeding along the line of such destiny in the occupations and activities in which I am engaged? (A) As indicated, these offer a channel, a means for the material things of life; offer the opportunities for the associations, for the meetings of those through which the aid, through which the activities may be given to the many. Hold fast to Him, and ye will be called blessed by many!
