Time of Reading 4:20 to 4:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New York. (Body and enquiring mind, who thanks the Father for the inestimable help already received, and now seeks information, advice and guidance as to his material affairs. Ques.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind.
2. And know, O son of man, thy prayers, thy meditations, rise as a sweet incense before the throne of mercy and peace and grace!
3. Thy efforts in the behalf of thy fellow man WILL not, DO NOT go unheard; nor will they be unrewarded in thy daily life.
4. Let then peace, mercy and judgement rest with thee; knowing that the Father is in His holy temple within thee - and that as ye measure to others, so does it return to thee.
5. Rail not on those who would despitefully use thee, or attempt to misconstrue thy efforts! For He, thy Lord, thy Guide, will sustain thee - if ye will carry the whole matter to Him!
6. Rememberest thou how ye walked by the way and were troubled as to what would befall those of thy own countrymen, as well as those of the household of Him with Whom ye walked? and how He quieted thy fears by reminding thee that for this purpose came He into the earth?
7. And though it might appear that the day was spent, and the truths He had presented before those of the land were closed, did He not CONFIRM in thy own consciousness the fact that those things which had been spoken and done as it were in the secret place would be proclaimed openly? and thus come as the leaven - as was given of old, by all the teachers - that would leaven the whole lump? and become the judgements of those in every phase and walk of life, by which MAN would judge his dealings with his fellow man?
8. Hold fast to that, O Friend! For that is thy strength; that is thy bulwark of safety!
9. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) Will it be necessary next month for me to give up

my home in ..., N.Y.? (A) As we find, there has been gradually built a consciousness that this would become necessary. Then, if it - the giving up - fits in with all of thy plans, thy processes, it will become necessary. But if there is the exerting of self to retain same, by the seeking through channels that are open to thee for the maintaining of same, it will not be necessary. But let NEITHER of these - the giving up nor the retaining - become a stumblingblock to thee in that thou hast purposed to do in thy undertakings!
11. (Q) Will the effect of the Wheeler investigation on the Executive Committee of the Railroad Security Owners Association make it desirable for me to resign? (A) It should not, by any means! For the purposes, the confidences, the faith set and maintained, will not make it desirable NOT to carry ON that thou hast undertaken, that thou hast done. But there should be, as has been intimated and given before, GREATER compensation from the Securities commission for the self. This, to be sure, would appear as a very inopportune time to command or demand such. But because there are the preparations and the needs for such activities calls for an action in this direction.
12. (Q) Is my service in harmonizing capital and labor impaired by the investigation of me by the Wheeler Senate Committee? (A) Not as we find. And as has been intimated and given, a greater association or a greater cultivating of Wheeler, and acquainting him with that which has been accomplished by the self in these directions would not only STRENGTHEN the position but make it more effective.
13. (Q) Is it wise for me to seek another location of service? If so, when? (A) As we find, not in the present; and when it is sought, keep close to that ye have undertaken in the organizing of Capital to work for those who are in moderate and semi- moderate circumstance.
14. (Q) Is additional substantial income apparent for me within a short time? (A) If there is the demand for same, this is apparent. Or if there is the letting of it be known in circles where the efforts have been expended; the NEED of same; it will be forthcoming.
15. (Q) Will you give to me more light on my present
1151-14 Page 3
distressful financial situation? (A) As we find, as has just been intimated, there may be expected, there may be commanded from those whom the body has served, is serving, greater financial returns. These should be sought, these should be asked for.
16. (Q) What is the proper way out for me in my present circumstances? (A) As we find, as has just been indicated.
17. (Q) Are the probabilities satisfactory for me to completely clear myself of all debts within this year? (A) All debts within this year or by the first three months of the next.
18. (Q) Any further advice for this body? (A) Let that mind, ever, be in thee that prompted thee as ye sat at meat in the Inn, when in the breaking of the bread ye became aware of WHOM ye had walked and talked with! For He, as then, is not afar off; but is mindful of those things - in body, in mind, in purpose - that disturb thee from day to day. Lean thou on Him. Let HIM show thee the way.
