Time of Reading 11:40 to 12:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
1. GC: You will have before you, present in this room, the body and enquiring mind of [1151], who seeks information, advice, guidance and a review respecting his mental and material affairs, particularly as they relate to the entity's highest advancement in this life's experience. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records of the entity now known as or called, [1151] present in this room; with the information which has been given through these channels as the interpretation of the activities through the material plane, and as to how they relate to the possibilities, the probabilities and the development in this experience.
3. In reviewing that which has been accomplished thus far, much might be said as to how well and how much in keeping with the purposes for which the soul entered have been the activities. For as has been indicated, to each soul, it is not by chance that it enters - but as the opportunity, as the purpose for the fulfilling of those opportunities and those destinies that have been a part of the experience through sojourns in the earth.
4. For each soul in its material manifestation is a result of that which has been the application of eternal truth in the experience - and yet in each entity, in each soul there is the promise that whosoever will may come, and in any experience, in any period, claim those promises that have been from the beginning.
5. There are those efforts upon the part of the entity, then, not only to assist individuals and groups to adjust themselves to the new order of activities in progress, but the purpose, the desire to fulfillthose same activities that were a part of that experience on the walk to Emmaus.
6. For, these continue to become a part of that hope, that desire, that purpose of the soul - to see not only in the hearts and lives of men the fulfilling of that which was the prompting of that day, but that all men everywhere become
1151-23 Page 2
more and more aware of their part, their place in such an awakening, such a return to that of giving God a chance in THEIR lives, THEIR associations - and that each, in whatever place he is, is responsible for what others - because of his activity - think or conceive as the love of the Christ, the love of God in the lives of individuals.
7. The regeneration, then, of purposes - not only in the lives of individuals but in the State, in the Nation. For the heritage that is the very life and heart of those who conceived the purposes and plans for individuals' activities in the land is ALIVE, if there will be but the arousing to activity of same in the hearts and minds of individuals.
8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) Is the course I am pursuing in respect to the homecoming at ..., Massachusetts on October 12, 1939, of the entity [1848], the right course, and why? (A) This will depend upon the manner, to be sure, of that as may be presented by the entity, [1848]. It is offering that entity an opportunity to declare himself AS in relationships to first causes, first principles; and for the arousing of America to its opportunity in this present day. The idea, the way, the manner is correct. We do not find the entity, [1848], failing in his activity or purpose.
10. (Q) Is the regeneration of America the purpose of my guidance, and is this fully understood by [1848] and [1354]? (A) This as we see is fully understood, and the purpose GROWS in the hearts and minds of both [1848] and [1354].
11. (Q) Am I to prepare a suggested address to be given by [1848] at that homecoming? (A) This - the outline of same - would be WELL to not only be prepared, but to consult with him as respecting same. And it should be those principles that are indicated in Washington's address, in Franklin's address before the first Congress, and as presented by Jefferson in the first and second clauses of the Declaration.
12. (Q) How can I proceed to make my position clearer to them? (A) Do not be overanxious. Be guided by the spirit of the cause and the purpose. For, as in that day when ye became aware of His presence through the breaking of bread, so will ye in THAT day in the breaking of bread become aware that these, as well as the greater portion of that part of the land, understand and comprehend what is purposed.
13. (Q) Should the address of [1848] at the homecoming be of the theme of America and its Destiny, or is some other subject preferable?
1151-23 Page 3
(A) America AND its purpose and principles. America and its future.
14. (Q) Has the giving to me of the large fish, by [1848], last summer, any significance in the experiences of our lives together? (A) Unknowingly, unconsciously, ye have in same fulfilled that which is a seal of eternal brotherhood. For in that sign is the brotherhood of man and the fatherhood of God declared. So in that ye see symbolized that eternal brotherhood between ye and [1848].
15. (Q) Shall I continue to remain in the background in the effort to advance [1848]? Please discuss. (A) As we find, as was even in that period where "the other disciple" was named - yet self remained in the background - by choice. In the household of that entity now called [1848], ye made it possible for not only the acceptance of but the abilities for that entity to become the power through its authority to establish the first church in Rome - through a great deal of thy efforts. This, too, has been, was kept in the background. Remember, it is as He gave, "When ye pray, enter into thy closet, and there pray in secret, and He - thy Father - will reward thee openly." For the time, yes - keep in the background. When He hath seen - the Father hath seen fit that it should be known openly, the circumstance and the conditions all will be made known.
16. (Q) Are the preparations of the [...] Committee going along satisfactorily, and harmoniously, for the homecoming of [1848]? (A) In the present they are going along satisfactorily. There have been one or two questions that have arisen, but the impetus of the whole condition is so coming to be felt by not merely a section but the sectional pride in a national purpose AND condition. Was it not here that the first sound for liberty sounded through the world? Then, is it not in keeping that the Committee only be reminded? and it will function harmoniously and WONDERFULLY.
17. (Q) Will this homecoming direct him towards the Presidency? (A) It will be in that direction. Of course, it will
1151-23 Page 4
require not only that section but others also. Those of such a nature - not of the same character - in the Northwest, in the South and East, as well as South and West. But it will set the outlook, it will - we might say - set the pegs in a row, where there will be a figure that will only be acceptable to the whole nation.
18. (Q) Is the raising of funds for the expenses of the homecoming being done under grace in perfect ways? (A) In keeping with that which is being purposed. For it is a part of both those who labor and those who employ.
19. (Q) Is there any further advice you can give me on this homecoming? (A) These as we find are in keeping with the best interests not only of the section of the land, but these of course form, then, the background for what will be the cry of the land in 1940.
20. (Q) Was the contract between [1724] and [1848] for the writing of the latter's biography, correct? and will it be a definite contribution toward our high objective? (A) It should be. As to whether this becomes a help towards the objective, of course, will depend upon the timing of same as to a part of the whole presentation of the purposes of the man, see? The timing of same. As to the contract, it is well - and will be well done.
21. (Q) Will [1724] be free financially to begin his work on the biography immediately? (A) He should begin by the middle of September.
22. (Q) When should the book be completed? (A) By the time there are the beginnings of the first of those offered as the prospects for the filling of the office. By the middle of January or first of February.
23. (Q) Is John Todd of N.Y. the proper person from whom necessary advances might be made for this work? (A) This is very well.
24. (Q) Should [1724] start immediately? (A) Lay out the background, and begin the actual work by or before the 15th of September.
25. (Q) Should [1724] go to ... this summer? (A) This would be the better way to make for the preparations for same; gathering the data, you see.
26. (Q) Is the publication of the Savings Bank Journal proceeding towards my highest good? (A) There will be hitches here and there, but the progress is in the right direction - and having its effect, in the right place, upon all conditions as connected with the purposes for such a publication. Very satisfactory.

27. (Q) Is it well for me to proceed with representation of Stockholders interests in Certainteed Products against the Phoenix Securities Corporation? (A) Proceed. For thou ART thy brother's keeper.
28. (Q) Will this lead to a proper consummation for me? (A) Lead to a proper consummation for the body, as well as make friends of the right kind in the right places! But consider self - it is not always well to hear criticism of self, no more than those who are involved in these activities desire that there be questions as to their purposes. Yet just as with self, when criticism is made of such a nature that it is constructive in its very nature, and a healthy influence, it makes for an attitude NOT of antagonism but rather of brotherly love. And notice the place it occupies; brotherly love is even higher than godliness, and is next to love!
29. (Q) Is it advisable to soon conclude in a satisfactory manner the financing of the [1266] Rubber Co. and in what way can I help accomplish it? (A) As we find there are channels that are gradually opening with those organizations and activities that will enable the entity to assist in completing this. Through those very associates that HAVE been, in times back, very discouraging to the entity.
30. (Q) Can you name them? (A) Those that have been some of the most discouraging influences and forces - now will be enabled to help the entity in this very activity.
31. (Q) Will my actions in purchasing stock of the [1266] Company lead to a financing abundance for me, so that I may be permitted to carry on my obligations? (A) This will, in the activity as the reorganization and reactions begin, lead to financial security - rather than that of abundance.
32. (Q) How soon should financing be completed? (A) By Spring.
33. (Q) For the [1266] Company? (A) By Spring.
34. (Q) What should be my chief work for the coming year? (A) Carry on with those things that have been undertaken in the relationships with the individuals who are to serve in the various capacities for SAVING the nation.
