Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Bronxville, N.Y.
1. HLC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1151] present in this room. You will give the present status of his life's activities and affairs and whether they are consistent with his life's purposes. You will answer questions as submitted:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1151] present in this room; this we have had before.
3. The belief, the faith in, and the consistency with which the entity has carried on and does carry on in those principles, those truths, those tenets that are set in Him, are the purposes, the ideals to which the entity may and does attain, as they are applied in life, and in the dealings with the fellow man from day to day.
4. Know, as has been indicated, there is much to be done, in a period, in an era when thought is being more and more attuned to the listening for that day when more and more it will be realized that each individual IS his brother's keeper.
5. Then, as indicated, study to show thyself approved unto Him, the giver of all good and perfect gifts, rightly discerning, rightly dividing the words of truth, keeping self in such an attitude, in such an activity as to bring to self's own conscience no condemnation; nor the condemning of any other.
6. Rather let thy message be to such, even as He, "Lord, forgive them; they know not what they do."
7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) Is my present procedure concerning the Savings Bank Journal's national conference evolving in accord with my life's activities? (A) This as we find is a distribution of truth, a study of conditions, positions of individuals of different developments or stages of activity, in a way that is in keeping with the principles and purposes. To be sure, as
1151-25 Page 2
the entity understands, this will have its reaction - and for good in many ways and manners. There will need to be the following up of such procedures, that will vary these in many ways as conditions develop; else there will grow - in some quarters or channels - and idea of the centralization of power, which is in opposition to the purposes, see?
9. (Q) Was it right for me to have assumed the editorship of the Journal and eliminated [1724]? Is he intended to take any further part in my activities? (A) As will be indicated, if there is the analysis of this project in the beginning, it will be found indicated that so long as [1724] was in accord with the ideals and purposes of [1151], so long this would be valuable to the publication. Hence, as it has been indicated that this is not true, it is better that there be the elimination of connections or associations. And it, the association, has given the entity a vision of what to expect, not merely among writers or thinkers but of those whose ideals have not - at some portion of their activity - reached beyond self.
10. (Q) Can you advise me what the round table conference will evolve into? (A) As just intimated, for the next year - or until there is a change in administration, or in the activities as related to the spender and the supplier of funds for advancement or development in fields of activity, these are bound to be helpful. Just so they do not reach that point, or are not conducted so as to give those in some channels an idea of centralization or localization of power as well as capital.
11. (Q) Should this be explained editorially by me? (A) This as we find, AS conditions develop FROM these conferences, will be well; and will necessarily have to be fed, as it were, to SOME in authority or power in piecemeal, that many may gain the idea that it is THEIR idea, THEIR concept. But, as has been indicated, it will in reality be that fed them by one WITH the ideal of the brotherhood of man.
12. (Q) In what month should this be explained in the Journal? (A) This will be rather a matter of discernment by [1151], AS conferences progress, than saying what day or what month. For, out of each of these varied ideas are coming, yet many will find there ideas and their ideals not consistent; yet many are desirous of being helpful in their purposes and their ideas. Then, as the conferences develop, little by little there needs to be the warnings, as well as the counsel to, and as
1151-25 Page 3
it is taken more and more by, the varied groups. And this will of course further the reading of same, the study, the analyzing of what's taking place. And this becomes then a part of the INDIVIDUAL'S activity, or approach.
13. (Q) Will the Savings Bank Journal increase its profitability, and when? (A) As we find, within the next five to six issues this should have increased its profitability more than forty percent.
14. (Q) Is it essential for me to purchase other publications through which I can express my activities, and how can it evolve? (A) As we find, such MIGHT be advisable, but NOT in the immediate future. This will be rather an outcome, or a growth a there are the accepted abilities of the usage of the entity is putting that already being attempted.
15. (Q) Will my activities with and support of [1341] bring to me an abundance of funds with which to pay or settle all my obligations by July 1st, 1940, or shall I terminate activities with him? (A) Do not terminate activities with him. Though there may not be the abundance, there will be the sufficient for the activities, for the handling of funds for the settling of that needed, by that period.
16. (Q) Will it be profitable and serviceable within the meaning of my life's purposes to continue my association with William Rosenblatt? (A) This as we find is one where there must and will eventually come changes that are necessary in the association. Whether there is to be a closer involvement or a termination will depend much upon Rosenblatt.
17. (Q) Is it wise that I continue association with Harold G. Parker relating to saving enlightened capitalism, or shall I terminate association with him following the conference this month on Public Utilities? (A) This is one to be cultivated; more for OBSERVATION and for that by or through which much will be reckoned that is and will be presented. For, Parker is a power in some channels with which it is wise to keep contact through the next eighteen months to two and a half to three years.
18. (Q) Shall I make efforts through the Saturday Evening Post or other national weeklies to secure national round table conferences on subjects such as Labor, Capital and Agriculture? (A) This is an excellent channel, an excellent manner, and as we find CAN be made to be not only a means of education but a means of presenting the ideals and purposes, and - again - quite remunerative.
1151-25 Page 4
19. (Q) With what publication would you advise that this be attempted? (A) Saturday Evening Post, as indicated, is a channel; though other national publications or monthlies or weeklies may also be a part of the consideration; as Collier's also, as the Forum, as all of these of that nature.
20. (Q) Is it probable that substantial offers of employment will come to me as the result of my present activities? (A) They will come. Do not accept the first one or two; for these will be, as we find, rather tests to the entity.
21. (Q) Will the interest I have in [1266] Rubber Co. and Beech Aircraft stocks be permitted to be held until a financial gain is made? (A) As we find, there will be questions as to this, but if there is held that same attitude indicated as necessary, we find that it may be held until such time as the body desires to dispose of same.
22. (Q) Will my financial condition permit me with comfort to continue to live in this home, or is it wise for me to sell it? (A) DO NOT sell it!
23. (Q) Is there anyone more desirable and advisable for president of the United States than [1848]? (A) Of course, the most ADVISABLE would be Charles Hughes at this time; but as this is out of the question in the mind of Hughes, owing to conditions, we find that there are few - or no other one - with the WHOLE purpose that is in [1848]. Some may be as stepping-stones, but not as well.
24. (Q) Can [1848] be elected if the right plan is evolved for him? (A) He can. For, he is the ONLY one that may prevent more than the regular party candidates being in the field.
25. (Q) Will Franklin D. Roosevelt be nominated? (A) This depends upon what are the developments before the time for such nominations. Of course, such as these are as questions in the minds and activities of others, rather than such that can be foreordained, or that have been as yet determined in the minds of others.
26. (Q) Is it possible and advisable for [1848] to secure the Republican nomination? (A) Would be MOST advisable.
27. (Q) Is it possible? (A) It is possible.
28. (Q) Is it preferable to securing the Democratic nomination? (A) Would be preferable, under existent circumstances.
29. (Q) Can you give further directions for [1848]'s campaign, and what part ought I to play in it? (A) The united effort on the part of labor AND capital to

center on an individual.
