Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, the lack of the proper eliminations - which we have indicated as the disturbing influence for this body - is still, and more so in the immediate, causing the greater disturbances throughout the system.

4. These, from the conditions which arise from the sluggishness in the liver, as well as the lack of the eliminations and the dilations in the colon itself, are responsible for the inability of the mental reactions through the system.

5. In the present, as we find:

6. We would use a laxative, not of such a great cathartic nature as to cause too great an amount of distension or activity through portions of the system, but a combination or alternation of Fletcher's Castoria with Syrup of Figs. The general active principle of both of these is senna, but the combination of the other ingredients with same - as may be absorbed by the system to induce a greater activity through the assimilating forces of the body itself - may remove a great deal of poison. But use this in a consistent manner. Take about a teaspoonful every hour apart, first the Castoria, then the Syrup of Figs - that is, one taken one hour, the other the next, see?

7. When these have been taken for about six doses of EACH, then take TWO teaspoonsful of each at the next dosage, to flush the system, see?

8. And then have a high colonic irrigation. This may be given by any of those closely associated in this same vicinity. It should not be necessary to have more than the one colonic, though it may be necessary, or may become necessary again for a full cleansing, if the body returns to the general activities or disregards the diet and its

general activity.

9. Following the colonic irrigation - that is, in about two days after it has been given - have a THOROUGH GENERAL massage osteopathically, with particular reference to the lumbar axis, the 9th dorsal and THROUGHOUT those areas from the 4th dorsal to the 1st cervical. We would have a few of such treatments. As to how many - this depends, of course, upon just how much time the body will give to it!

10. Do these and, as we find, we would improve the GENERAL reactions of this body in the best way and manner.

11. In the matter of the diet throughout - this should consist of liquids and semi-liquids preferably; especially the whole wheat cereals or combinations of such as the wheat and barley (as in Maltex), or cut oats, or rolled WHEAT or crushed wheat cooked a long time. Have vegetable broths, soups - where there's not too much grease - but rather the stock from fowl or the like, or mutton. These combined would be very well. Plenty of such as junket, or gelatin or the like. Any of these would be well during these periods.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) How long is it practical to remain at home of Mrs. [1158] where I am now? (A) This would depend upon the general circumstances, but it should remain until there is at least the full cleansing of the system in the manners as indicated.

14. (Q) Should Schoelles or Dobbins give osteopathic treatments? (A) Schoelles may give the osteopathic treatments.

15. (Q) Would Floranucin, from Lawrence Laboratories, Chicago, be desirable for me to take? (A) We would not take such as this in the present. The bran is much preferable.

16. (Q) Would Codiron be advisable? If so, what dosage? (A) Not until the system has been thoroughly cleansed, for this - in the general condition - would be more harmful than beneficial to the body. But after the system is cleansed, it would be very well; two to three to four tablets each day.

17. (Q) Would Atomidine be advisable? (A) No; not until there is a cleansing of the system.

18. (Q) How soon will my head condition and general physical condition right itself to permit me to return to my writing activity? (A) When there has been a full cleansing and a reaction in the body from the eliminating of the poisons.

19. (Q) Any other suggested applications? (A) These we would do for the immediate future.

20. We are through with this Reading.
