Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Va. Beach, Va.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1152], present in this room. You will give her a physical and mental reading at this time, answering the questions she has prepared regarding her physical welfare and the mental decisions which she must make at this time.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1152]; this we have had before.
3. As we find, in the physical forces of the body many changes have come about. Most of these are for the physical improvement. True, there arises some disturbing conditions at times. However, these in the main can be controlled either directly by the body-mind as related to mental and spiritual healing or by meeting those laws in whatever phase of experience such disturbances arise, so as to bring better coordination in the general welfare of the body.
4. In meeting these conditions, then, as we find:
5. Keep those periods of meditation, of prayer, of those desires and purposes to be self-less in the contribution of betterment in the mental and material being of those about the body.
6. For, the law applies in the experience of each entity, "As ye do it unto the least of thy fellow man, ye do it unto thy Maker."
7. Thus in bringing the awakening to others in the daily associations, the daily thought, the daily activity, one brings the betterment physically, mentally and spiritually to the individual entity itself.
8. Little may be contributed as to the manners in which the entity should approach such, for these are a part of the entity's being. But we would merely point out that there should be practical application of such.
9. One does not proclaim ANY of the activities or make pronouncements of any theory, or any law, without giving such an activity a power within its own experience. Thus, as has been indicated by Him, "As the individual - as the
1152-13 Page 2
man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
10. When doubts and fears and turmoils arise, then turn to Him; knowing, as He hath promised, He is able to keep that which is promised. For, only in overcoming the world, death, hell and the grave, was he able of or capable of, willing to be that direction, that security, that safeness as He hath promised.
11. Let the mind, the body, the purposes, the hopes, then, be centered in Him; who hath given, "If ye love me, keep my commandments, and I will come and abide with thee always," giving that peace, not as the world knoweth peace but that safe security, that understanding that brings harmony in the activities, in the relationships, in the meeting of every phase of the experience in this material world.
12. Know, as He hath indicated in His life, that if there is the determination, the desire to do good, then disturbances as of the world arise. But in thy choice of manner and means of activity, of service, let it be even as He gave, "The prince of this world cometh, but he has no part in me."
13. So live, so think, so do, that fear, doubt, disturbance of any nature may be wholly cast out; through the trust, the faith, the hope in Him.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) Why have I never been able to meditate? I go to sleep. (A) This, as may be found, is the surer, safer, saner way of meditation. For, when the mind is absent from the body it is present with thy Lord, thy purposes, thy hopes. Let thy pronouncements ever be, then, as the beginning of thy meditation, of thy prayer, as may be put in thine own words - but after this manner: LORD, THOU ART THE MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH. THOU HAST SHOWN THY LOVE IN THE GIFT OF THY SON. MAKE ME, THEN, A CHANNEL OF BLESSING THROUGH HIM TO OTHERS.
16. (Q) Shall I give my Xmas Reading in Framingham, Mass.? (A) If invited there, it is well. For, as has been indicated heretofore, such a reading, such an experience is uplifting, is directing in that way which brings the awareness of his presence in the hearts and minds of all.
17. (Q) Will you tell me where I should live, as my moving from N.Y. was such a difficult experience. I seemed to have no guidance when the time came and everything definitely interfered with my moving away from my home there and coming here to Va. Beach, and now all my things are stored in N.Y. (A) As we find, as has been indicated, the Beach would be well. If this is contradictory to thine own purposes, then thou alone must choose. But, as we find and as indicated,
1152-13 Page 3
these environs - once established - will bring harmony in purposes and in those directions that have been indicated. The answers, though, should be found within SELF, before final decisions are made.
18. (Q) Why was it that when mostly needed even Oria Allen, my faithful co-worker, was too ill to assist? (A) As indicated, when decisions and purposes are to be made in individual experiences, there are those influences of a material nature that attempt to hinder. But the trust, the faith, the hope should be put in Him. These ARE influences of doubt. The father of same is that influence which IS purposed in the world.
19. (Q) Now it is almost New Year and war so definitely preventing much building. Shall I be able to get men and materials to build my new home over our library here, and satisfactorily within my budget? (A) As we find, this CAN be done if it is desired.
20. (Q) Who would be the right contractor? (A) As WE find, this must be the choice of self. But have bids. At least two or three.
21. (Q) Then should my things remain in storage in N.Y. or be moved to the Bell Storage in Norfolk, or which storage would be best? (A) As we find, this should be governed by circumstance. Not necessary to make more financial disturbance to overlap. Remain through a period in New York, and when this has elapsed, the building should be near ready, and capable of storing same close to or in same.
22. (Q) Where could they be placed so that I could look them over and move a few at a time before placing? Any place nearby? (A) In the room adjoining where the building is to be made.
23. (Q) Until the building is begun, would it be best for me to remain in my little suite at the Martha Washington and then move to the room in Mr. & Mrs. Cayce's home? I have to rise so much at night that my present room with bath conveniences is an important consideration. (A) We would remain there, then. If there is then better conveniences, when there is the beginning of the actual activities - and the desire to be close at hand, this may be done.
24. (Q) Will it be perfectly convenient for all for me to be at the Cayce's - as I do not wish to put them to any extra trouble if I go there? (A) Convenient.
25. (Q) Why is it ill health continues to persist? The pain in my back is terrific altho I took treatments at the
1152-13 Page 4
Reilly Institute. Shall I try Unity treatment? (A) As has been indicated, much of this may be overcome in self. But meet those phases as they arise. If there is the excessive pain, then have a treatment or an adjustment to meet the PHYSICAL needs. These are NOT different, for the good in each is of the same source. They are not contradictory, as some would hold. Did the Master heal all individuals alike? Were some not mechanical applications? Were some not passing the word along? Were some not merely the spoken world? Remember the basis, the first principle, "The Lord thy God is ONE." In every influence, then - of mind, of body, of soul - there is an attunement to that oneness. Yet each phase of the body, mind and soul has its attributes, its channel, its limitation, its activity. Only in HIM is the full oneness.
26. (Q) What diet should I follow? Am I eating the right things? (A) This must be determined better by self, as to what agrees or disagrees. Know there must be the proper eliminations. The activities through the kidney, liver, heart, ARE THE CONDITIONS TO BE MET. Do not overcrowd, nor under estimate the needs of physical energies for the body.
27. (Q) For instance, what do you mean right there? (A) If it disagrees to eat white bread, then don't eat it! If it disagrees to drink any kind or character of liquid, don't do it! But know that there are needs for activities in these three phases. There has been sufficient study of the body, by the body, for choosing the diet for itself. Plenty of green vegetables, of course; plenty of cooked, plenty of juices - yes. Plenty of those that carry all of the necessary vital energies. As to their names, choose thou. Thou knowest the needs. Do not under estimate the value of all foods. For, as He gave, it is not that as entereth into the man that defileth but that which cometh out - or faileth in its coming out, see?
28. (Q) Much time and expense has been given to belts, etc., to support the hernia that has been so painful at night. Will these that I have ordered be satisfactory for myself and others with this affliction? (A) As we find, if these are properly adjusted, these should be satisfactory.
29. (Q) Why is it that I have such difficulty in eating? Both sets of plates, old and new, seem to have no suction. Are they too large? What can be done? Should I try a new dentist? If so, whom? (A) There are preparations that make same almost stationary. Use these. These are prepared for such
1152-13 Page 5
conditions, see?
30. (Q) Should I try a new dentist? If so, whom? (A) As we find, these CAN be made to be correct, by the use of that as will SET same to the conditions as exist in the gums.
31. (Q) Will you tell me where my beautiful eyeglasses are that my husband gave me, which have disappeared since August? (A) They are among the things that have been packed away.
32. (Q) Also my seed pearls? (A) These we do not see.
33. (Q) Any other advice at this time? (A) Keep in that way that has been indicated. The application is personal, is of self. Meet the needs day by day.
