1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: As we find, as has been indicated, conditions are much improved - as last indicated - if there is kept the normal balance through general activities and not overdoing nor underdoing the applications for keeping a normal balance through the assimilating and eliminating systems.
3. And this, of course, includes keeping a balance in not only the chemical forces but the glandular activities of the system. And as we find, as has been indicated for the body, if these are persisted in and kept in that manner, and not the adding of other things that become excesses in some directions, we will keep better balanced.
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) Would it be advisable to eat all the following items DAILY, excluding other vegetables, all cereals, potatoes and starches? First, egg yolks? (A) These are good taken about twice or three times a week, but not every day, to be sure.
6. (Q) How much? (A) Whether half a dozen, dozen, one or two! whatever is the desire or the need for the body! Depends on how much is to be added with it when it is taken!
7. (Q) Fish, fowl or lamb? (A) Fish about twice a week, and this a piece about two by three, about a quarter or half inch thick, broiled, if so desired. Lamb about three times a week - this about three and a half ounces. Fowl, once or twice a week; as to quantity, depending upon what portion of same and how it is prepared - two to three pieces if ordinarily prepared, or such as this, for a meal.
8. (Q) Almonds? (A) These may be taken as a part of the diet preferably between meals, about three or four times a week; about ten
1158-21 Page 2
at a time.
9. (Q) Skimmed milk? (A) This is NOT so good for the body, though if it is desirable, four to five ounces a day would be very well.
10. (Q) Lemon juice. (A) About once in TWO weeks; teaspoonful.
11. (Q) Grapefruit juice? (A) This may be taken each day if so desired; half a grapefruit or the juice thereof.
12. (Q) Orange juice? (A) This is better mixed with the lemon, or the lemon mixed with the orange juice - and this taken once or twice a week. But do not take ANY of these so they become routine! Let the appetite call for them, rather than expecting these to fill the appetite.
13. (Q) Pineapple juice? (A) Once or twice a week, three to four ounces at a meal.
14. (Q) Raw cabbage? (A) This about three or four times a week.
15. (Q) Spinach and other leafy vegetables? (A) Once, twice or three times a week.
16. (Q) Raw cauliflower? (A) This about twice a week should be sufficient.
17. (Q) Raw carrots? (A) Once or twice a day if so desired, about three days a week.
18. (Q) Raw celery? (A) This should be taken with other foods, rather than by itself, two or three times each week.
19. (Q) Raisins? (A) Raisins also should be taken just about like the almonds.
20. (Q) Figs? (A) Once to three times during a week, dependent upon what they are mixed with. But either the stewed or the black figs or such natures as the dried, once to three to four times a week should be sufficient.
21. (Q) Dates? (A) This another item that should come along with raisins and almonds.
22. (Q) Sun-dried apricots or prunes? (A) These are very well to be taken two or three times during the week. These are PREFERABLE to be taken COOKED; though they may be taken as they are preserved and eaten between or at a meal.
23. (Q) Honey? (A) About once a day, or four or five times a week. Small
1158-21 Page 3
quantity, of course, either with the preparation of the foods or with buckwheat cakes or corn cakes.
24. (Q) 4 Battlecreek Sanatorium Laxa Biscuits? (A) These, if the other foods are taken as indicated, should NOT be necessary - if they are taken only to fill out more weight as for producing better eliminations - would be well occasionally.
25. (Q) 2 Vi-Syneral tablets, one light and one dark? (A) Here we begin to give or administer that which SHOULD be produced by the activity of the system itself! Take these rather as aids, and NOT for the system to become dependent upon same. Hence taken once, three times a week should be sufficient, but NOT as routine.
26. (Q) Whole bran? (A) This may be taken every day for three to four days, left off for a week and then taken again if so desired. But all of these, of course, are never to be taken at the SAME meal.
27. (Q) Do you advise further taking of the following, and if so in what amounts and how often? Amniotin tablets - 2 thousand I.U.? (A) These should be just in the very same manner as those just indicated. It is very well to be taken occasionally, but not as an EVERYDAY matter.
28. (Q) Codiron? (A) This is very well to be taken every day through these periods - afterwards, not so well through the hot summer.
29. (Q) Atomidine? (A) This we would only take as an addition occasionally for the activity or cleansing of the glandular system. When taken, take every day for five days, then leave off. If it's left off for a month or six weeks, then next time it is taken take it every day for five days, then leave off. Small quantity, of course, as we have indicated.
30. (Q) Sea-lax? (A) This is very well for SEASONING only.
31. (Q) Floranucin? (A) This, again, is very well taken at times.
32. (Q) Dr. Black tablets #107? (A) This again should act as boosters, and not that upon which the body glandular force comes to depend!
33. (Q) Should any change be made in the osteopath, or in the manner or details of treatments given? (A) When these corrections have been made as has been indicated, through the manipulations and activities in the areas, then keep the general system in the correct order by merely occasionally taking the osteopathic adjustments to

see that there is perfect alignment throughout the cerebrospinal system, see? And this may be done by going once a month - should be sufficient - unless some disturbance develops that is not indicated in the present.
34. (Q) How long before corrections osteopathically will be completed? (A) As indicated. If these are kept in the manner indicated in the present, we should have better conditions through the system.
35. (Q) Is it advisable that I take "Light" treatment each week from Dr. Miller? (A) No.
36. (Q) What about taking at home violet ray sun baths and Radio-Active treatments? (A) These are very well occasionally, when there is needed that to relax the body or to give some stimulation from overactivity through some special period. But let THESE be taken rather, again, as adding to the body those activities for the replenishing of overused energies at times, see?
37. (Q) What is best way to insure satisfactory daily bowel movements? (A) By the diet, and not by dependence upon ANY of the taking of laxatives or the like. But these are the better taken in the diet in those things indicated, such as prunes, figs, raisins, yeast or the like. These if taken occasionally should keep the bowels in the proper condition, occasionally using enemas - oil enemas if so desired, - these will keep the reactions through the alimentary canal.
38. (Q) What is the cause and cure of the excessive cracking in the bones in my feet? (A) This comes from lack of proper circulation. A gentle or thorough massage of the limbs DOWNWARD, especially with Cocoa Butter, and especially through the feet and the bursa of the heel and the ball of the foot, and across the toes, will aid - this done once or twice a week.
39. (Q) What is cause and cure of the excessive gas in my system? (A) Unbalancing in the diet, or overstepping things as indicated. Too much raw mixed with other things - not quite a balanced food diet.
40. (Q) Have you any other suggestions as to diet or otherwise to improve my thinking and general health conditions? (A) If you will do these, we will make for the keeping in the better normal physical balance.
