1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1158]; this we have had before.
3. As we find, there are bettered conditions throughout the general physical forces of the body than that as we have had here before.
4. There needs be rather those precautions that have been indicated for the care, the attention, of keeping that equal balance in the physical and mental and spiritual emotions of the body; keeping those activities as coordinant between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic systems, through which the organs of the sensory forces of the body function; and we should keep the much nearer to normal conditions.
5. These as we find are in keeping, then, with those varied suggestions that have been indicated; that from time to time there be the care in this or that direction as necessary for keeping this normalcy between the functionings of the portions of the system.
6. Ready for questions.
7. (Q) Can I recapture and maintain a normally good eyesight, without recourse to glasses? (A) For the time being, or for a cycle of some few months or years, yes - but eventually this, too, is a part of the general conditions as become a part of every consciousness where there has been the subjugation of self to the consciousness of the needs for helpful influences in this or that direction. But, with the exercises of the body as well as the strengthening exercises of the eyes themselves, this can be regained and maintained for a time.
8. (Q) Is daily palming of eyes according to Dr. Bates'
1158-22 Page 2
[Emily Bates] plan, desirable and vital as well as head and breathing exercises already here given? (A) These are very well, but it will be found that a much greater strength may be obtained in the cupping - by palming the hands together for a time before each period of cupping, and then the head and neck exercise, and the standing and tilting of the body morning and evening is a helpful exercise also for such conditions.
9. (Q) How long before satisfactory eye condition will be achieved, and how much time should be given daily to its aid? (A) Fifteen to twenty minutes about twice a day should be the time given to same, unless there is the ability for the body to lay aside other impending or pending conditions. You see, in making such applications it is the concentration that aids the whole consciousness and thus aids the body. If it is done merely as rote, little may be accomplished. If it is done with a purpose, and with the intent that goes with same, then much more should and will be accomplished. In six weeks there should be all the change as would be desired.
10. (Q) What is the cause of my itching and dry ears, and and the crackings in head when stretching it? (A) Poor circulation - causing both of these effects. This is a part of that as has been indicated that is necessary, to stimulate coordination of the activity of the sensory system - or the cerebrospinal AND sympathetic system, as coordinates with the sensory organs of the body. This, then, as we find, is a part of this general condition. Local applications will aid, but there needs be even such as the exercises as would be taken for the eyes, the head, the neck - all of these will be beneficial, as well as the occasional treatments by the mechanical manipulations for the releasing of impulses to these portions of the system.
11. (Q) Is it important for me to rub my own legs and feet with with Cocoa-Butter, since it is impracticable to have it done by another? (A) This may be done by self, but be CONSISTENT with it when it is done; not just to be gotten through with. Just as with any exercise, as any study or any application of the mental as it is to affect the whole emotions of the body, - it must be the realization as it were. Remember, every cell of the body is a universe in itself, with all the elements necessary for the creating of, the bringing into being of that necessary. For is not the human body the effect of all of creation? Thus in the activities necessary for any portion where there may be a disturbance, it is necessary to
1158-22 Page 3
arouse those vibratory influences or those atomic structures through those portions of the system for their activity to coordinate with all other portions. For it is the separation that causes a disturbance, that they become non-conformed with the activities of the system that create a balance - whether it be physical, mental or spiritual. And non-conformity to the spiritual forces of the creative energies is becoming selfish, the mental self is to be less aware of the way in which there may be unison - the physical is the same, see?
12. (Q) Thru what ways am I failing to keep satisfactory glandular activities in the system? (A) This as we find is showing some improvement from those that we had, and we only need to be aware of the whole of the activity of the system as one, for this to be better and better completed, or more and more completed in the physical activity of the body. This condition is much bettered, though at times it reverts because of laxness or the attempt to mingle many things together. Remember how it has been given, as to how there is sacrifice needed, but the mingling of many characters is not always conducive to being at an at-onement with that necessary for the more perfect relationships of the whole to the Creative Forces or God. And as these are a portion - or the body is the temple, then the activity of the glands, the organs, the mental attributes of the whole system CAN be, MUST be at an at-onement, or acting in at-onement to the better creative forces.
13. (Q) Have I failed to take sufficient Codiron, and do you advise taking any during the next two months? (A) This as we find would be more beneficial to be taken occasionally, as has been indicated. Take it for a period, then leave off. Not that the body is to become wholly dependent upon its activities, but if there is lacking of those necessary elements in the system, as indicated in this tonic containing iron and the vitamins, it is beneficial to be taken. But the CONDITION is to be conducive to REMAINING in an activity of the mental and physical forces coordinating one with another, see? Hence we would occasionally apply those things as we have indicated - when there is tiredness, when there is overexercise in this direction or lack of same in other directions; for under these conditions there are certain
1158-22 Page 4
influences that are conducive to a better cooperative, a better coordinating condition. But do not be DEPENDENT upon them!
14. (Q) Will Dobbins successfully complete the corrective adjustments and put my spine in balance and perfect coordination? (A) He should, for he is well balanced in the understanding of the pathology of the body as well as the general structural forces, and as to the directing of same by the activities of the impulses in same.
15. (Q) How soon may this be accomplished? (A) It is not a matter of how soon. How soon would you want it? It is rather the matter of how soon you would want it. But as has been indicated, there needs to be the keeping of these things - as to the mental and spiritual, the application to anything that is of the emotions, for anything that is constructive. Do you work at it, or do you just become passive? These, you see, become then as a constructive influence. It may be done all at once, but then it would only last for a little bit and then revert back to old order. But keep these occasionally when necessary, for the stimulating of the general condition in the system.
16. (Q) What about the soundness and advisability of my finishing my conversation with Dobbins on "Emotional Reactions"? (A) Very well, and - as indicated - he is capable, efficient, and very sound in the ideas and principles about the emotional body as related to the mental and physical body.
17. (Q) Are my own feelings and emotional reactions true and sound? (A) VERY, very good. For of course there must be the response to the self within as to the creative influences, or it to resound to an activity. Unless such is aroused, it only becomes something that you have knowledge of, but are not aware of its constructiveness or destructiveness within thine own experience.
18. (Q) How does one keep balance between physical, mental and emotional forces? (A) As has been indicated, each of these responds to not only the environment but the hereditary influences that are both of the present, past and future. One grows in grace, in knowledge and in understanding. One keeps an even balance in the physical, the mental and the spiritual, by keeping each of these influences in proper relationships one to another. There is not to be too much stress laid on the one OR the
1158-22 Page 5
other, but their proper evaluation kept. It is then the ACTIVITY of same. Not that because you are in a world in which there are three-dimensional phases you do not become aware of the presence or activity of other dimensional forces, but if such are stressed it is often to the detriment of one or the other of the own dimensional influences or forces. Hence to keep the balance, work at it! in their proper relationship one to another. Not that there are not periods when there will not be influences from without as well as from within that will cause emotional or mental and physical reactions that cause an awareness of disturbances, but keeping in attunement and in at-onement with the Creative Influences we become aware of those things necessary.
19. (Q) Can I plan to open my home this fall with assurance of harmony in operation and adequate income to meet expenditures? (A) If there is harmony within self, the home will have harmony with same. If there is the whole trust in Him who is the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, sufficient of the means, of moneys, of help, of aid of every nature will be thine. That which is best for thine own mental and spiritual advancement.
