Time of Reading 11:50 to 12:20 Noon - Eastern Daylight Saving Time. ..., N.Y.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1158].

3. As we find, in some respects conditions physically are nearer to normalcy than we have had in other experiences of examinations here.

4. Then, there is rather the need to keep those inclinations, those tendencies as we have outlined; not to become excessive in any one direction.

5. For, know that the body is the most adaptable institution that is manifested in the earth; yet it is so easily abused at times.

6. Then we would keep close to those things known by the body - as to dietetics, as to hydrotherapy, as to stimulation or relaxation according to the needs for body drosses and for the activities of the glandular system through those periods of change that have been and are an experience of the body. Yet in the main, these are well balanced in the present.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) What are the conditions causing continuing pains in left side of head and face, especially ear and teeth areas? (A) This is the system balancing itself through the activity of the general system. While it is not to be considered as something greatly disturbing, it is well here to take such into consideration. But don't become overanxious. Just keep NORMAL activities for the better conditions of the body.

9. (Q) Is dentist Alfred Holzman doing right in grinding teeth to correct bite? (A) This is very well, but may be easily done to excess - as to cause the enamel to produce in the gums reactions not good. But begun, we would have this completed.

1158-31 Page 2

10. (Q) Should upper left first bicuspid be extracted? (A) Not necessary if the proper precautions are taken with same.

11. (Q) What precautions do you suggest? (A) In taking care of the condition, and in removing that portion of same that has caused or does cause the distress.

12. (Q) What is the portion that causes distress? (A) The NERVE.

13. (Q) It can't be removed because it is crooked. (A) It CAN be removed if there is the desire on the part of the operator to take the time and the precaution.

14. (Q) Any other teeth to be extracted? (A) Not if the proper activity or proper precaution is taken.

15. (Q) Can Dr. Holzman efficiently and correctly handle my dental needs? (A) He can efficiently and correctly handle the dental needs.

16. (Q) Has faulty elimination any bearing on my bad condition in right eye? (A) Rather this is a part of the lack of the eliminations from specific areas of the body. Just a moment - let's indicate how portions of the system are active: As is understood by the body, there is within each organ that ability to take from the system that necessary for the rebuilding of itself, the continuous reproduction of itself. This may be said especially of the organs of the sensory system. Here we find hindrances in the circulation. True, impulse for physical consciousness reacts from nerve centers of the brain, but the SUPPLY of nourishment - as well as the ability of portions of the organs to receive that assimilated - comes from BLOOD supply, that is controlled by the ganglia along the nervous system - either the cerebrospinal or the sympathetic. As the sensory forces (eyes, ears, nose, throat, sense of touch and the like) are the closer akin to the impulses of the body, their control is then NATURALLY more under the direction of what may be called the superficial or the sympathetic system. Hindrances in some portions of the body, then, prevent the eliminating of used energies - for by the very act of eating, the very act of using the vision, energies are used! From what? The nerve system; not of the brain entirely, for that responds by producing the mental consciousness - by

1158-31 Page 3

comparison - but from those energies of the ganglia along those portions of the nervous system, or cerebrospinal system. Then, those activities of the general nature will aid in assisting to establish better reaction from that assimilated - and thus establish better elimination. To say Yes, the disturbed eliminations hinder, would be correct; yet in this particular case or condition, it is not wholly correct. The use of those exercises that have been indicated to aid in establishing better stimulations to the optics, or to the sensory system, would be the better manner for assisting in these directions. When necessary, use the aids or helps for the eyes. For, as age increases, as the activities of the kidneys as related to the whole of the eliminating system increase by age, it is necessary for stimulating aids to the vision, usually. Not that there should be a catering to the weaknesses, but a realization that these are a natural consequence of activity in the material plane.

17. (Q) Are my eye exercises helping eye condition? (A) As just indicated. These are the channels for aid. Thus, as outlined from the beginning, keep to those things known - and apply them in a consistent manner, that is in keeping with good judgments. These are helping.

18. (Q) Are my Bi-focal glasses correct and constructive for me to wear? (A) Here, quite a dissertation might be indicated as to give the full or complete answer. Bi-focals are correct, WHEN worn constantly. Bi-focals not worn constantly, the more often become harmful.

19. (Q) Shall I wear these constantly? (A) After a few days there would be better conditions throughout the system, if these were worn constantly.

20. (Q) Have you any other suggestions to correct and improve my sight? (A) Keep the exercises - these are better. But do wear the glasses regularly, for the better protection to the nerve system and to the vision.

21. (Q) Are the diet policies in Dr. Abt's book "Food-wise" sound and generally worth following? (A) In most instances, yes. For this body, they would be very well.

22. (Q) Would the Abt 5 to 8 day elimination diet be good for me to follow? (A) Be very well, but be very careful that this is not

1158-31 Page 4

overdone - and do not overstrain the body during the period of taking such; that is, do not have UNDUE physical exercise, see?

23. (Q) Why did the Apple Diet fail and was it harmful? (A) As we find, this would not have failed if there had not been the needs for undue changes during those periods. It is often necessary for this to be repeated more than once, to become really effective.

24. (Q) Is daily use of Siblin a harmless elimination diet? (A) In most cases, harmless elimination aid.

25. (Q) Shall I resume osteopathic treatments? For how long? How many per month? (A) As we find, the better manner would be to take these not regular - but have a period - and this would be a very good period to prepare for the general coming seasons of activities and strains - when you would take six to eight treatments, then leave off. Then after a month to six weeks, to two months, have another checking over. There is no form of physical mechano-therapy so near in accord with NATURE'S measures as correctly given osteopathic adjustments. Others may say what they may, but prove it by watching those who have them regularly, and who depend upon them!

26. (Q) How many per month? (A) As indicated. For this body, these are best taken in series. When they are taken, for the month that they would be taken, take six. Then it may be two months before they may be necessary again. But if during that period there arises some acute condition, as from cold, congestion or some other source, have another treatment to adjust THAT particular condition.

27. (Q) By Sullivan or Schoelles in Bronxville, or Dobbins or Reilly in N. Y.? (A) Dobbins is the better of these, if it is practical.

28. (Q) Shall I resume peanut oil rubs? (A) There is nothing better. These may be given by any good masseuse. If they are taken once a week, it is not too often. For, they do supply energies to the body. And, just as indicated in other suggestions - those who would eat two to three almonds each day need never fear cancer. Those who would take a peanut oil rub each week need never fear arthritis.

29. (Q) What causes uncomfortable sitting and standing position? (A) The general strain; or with so much ENERGIES as the body uses in its general activity. These are not conditions

1158-31 Page 5

to be disturbed about. Just don't go so fast!

30. (Q) Would breathing exercises help balance my metabolism? (A) Breathing exercises of some natures are VERY good. Some others, for this body as for many people, would not be good. Mornings, it is better that these be the enlivening exercises of breathing. When arising of morning, open the lungs for fresh air - not too many clothing on. Breathe in deeply through the right nostril, gently rising on the toes, with the arms gradually extended and raised. This purifies the body. Do this three to four times. One then dismisses ALL of the carbon dioxide from the lungs and fills them with fresh air, unless - of course - one is breathing dust or pollen or some other disturbing factor; but this is presupposing that the body is breathing fresh air, see? Evenings - before retiring - the inhalations would be to EMPTY the lungs. These exercises would be more of the bending nature. So, when the body is tired is the time to use the bending (while when ready to be enlivened of morning, OPEN the whole lungs and body to the fresh air). These would be good breathing exercises for this body, as well as any other body. The bending exercises would be standing erect and bending forward. Then the stooping and bending forward, see, emptying the body.

31. (Q) Would taking of thyroid help glandular balance? (A) The taking of thyroid may help a little later, but not in the present. To help the glandular balance better now we would use the kelp salt in the food preparations. Just used as seasoning, not as a medicine; for this carries sufficient iodines and such activity to aid the body in the present. When the cold comes on and greater activity is required, then use the glandular extract - that which is prepared from the glandular force itself is the better, and this should best be given under the direction of a physician.

32. (Q) Do you suggest Dr. Josephine Kenyon as the proper physician? (A) Dr. Josephine Kenyon is very good, but don't let her oversell you on it! Use your own judgement as to the activities and the feelings of the body.

33. (Q) Would occasional taking of Atomidine be wise? (A) Not if you use the kelp salt.

34. (Q) Shall I continue Tonicine?

1158-31 Page 6

(A) We would continue Tonicine for at least another six to ten weeks, as has been taken heretofore.

35. (Q) Shall I resume Grove's Chill Tonic? For how long? What amounts? (A) Not until about the fifteenth of December. Then we would resume. Take about a teaspoonful once, twice to three times each week - and take it until the middle or latter part of February.

36. (Q) Shall I start Adiron again? What dosage? How long continue? (A) This will depend upon the appetite. If the appetite is not up to par, begin it about the first or middle of October. The dosage depends upon the general feeling. One to two pellets each day should be sufficient for this body. This is one of the best balanced sources of such vitamins as indicated here; iron as well as yeast and the vitamins that are supplied by B-1.

37. (Q) Shall I continue Calcios? For how long? How much? (A) Continue Calcios in about the same manner in which the osteopathic adjustments are made. Use it during those periods that such treatments are taken; it will work more with the general system.

38. (Q) What are the best sources of calcium in foods? (A) The ends of bony pieces of fowl or the like, gristle, pigs' feet, souse and the like. Vegetables such as turnips, parsnips, and all of those that grow under the ground.

39. (Q) What foods are best source of Vitamin B? (A) And B-1. All of those that are of the yellow variety, in fruits and vegetables. Also in many of those are the acids that go with same.

40. (Q) How often should these foods be used weekly? (A) Have rather regular days or periods in which these foods or fruits are taken, or take some portion of them every day. This is a vitamin that is not stored as is A, D, C or G, but needs to be supplied each day.

41. (Q) For balanced diet, what quantities should I take per week of carrots? (A) This should be a carrot a day, and you will find you will have better conditions in your teeth and in the digestive forces. Yet to make this so specific might become a hardship, but the character of preparation may be changed - and this become rather a needed supply.

42. (Q) Onions? (A) About twice or three times a week; cooked, and - if agreeable - raw once or twice.

43. (Q) Yellow squash? (A) This as often as practical through the regular season. Include pumpkins a little bit later, because these are a

1158-31 Page 7

good source of many of the needed vitamins.

44. (Q) Grapefruit? (A) About three to four times each week.

45. (Q) Orange juice with lemon? (A) Once to twice to three times a week.

46. (Q) Beef? (A) This should be a part of the diet about once a week - about three to four ounces of this, well prepared, but in its own juices.

47. (Q) Fowl? (A) Once or twice a week.

48. (Q) Raw milk? (A) This should be a part of each day. At least a glass, or six ounces.

49. (Q) Whole eggs or yolks? (A) Whole eggs about once or twice a week, yolks about three times each week. In most instances, it is best that they NOT be taken raw. If taken raw, take them WITH something else; as in orange juice or beer or the like.

50. (Q) Is Brewers yeast or Wheat Germ advisable for me to take? (A) Not at the present. In a few months, it would be advisable. The Wheat Germ, in pellets or in drops. If drops, about two drops each day. If pellets, one pellet.

51. (Q) Are Vitamin A tablets well for me to take? (A) Not if the diet is kept properly balanced, for these are well stored in the body at present.

52. (Q) What is best source of nicotinic acid? (A) Of course, the greater source is from smoke. But in vegetables, carrots, squash, pumpkin, and especially in what is called the oyster plant. (Salsify)

53. (Q) Do I get sufficient of these foods? (A) If these are taken in the order as indicated, the foods in which this is most active, sufficient. Because the B-1 would assist in the supply from same.

54. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Make the body not only fit, but make thy mind and thy purposes with others equally as fit with Him.
