R E A D I N G
Time of Reading 11:55 to 12:20 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Body and enquiring mind - Ques.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1173], this we have had before.
2. In the physical forces we find these continue to show improvements. It is necessary that precautions be kept, and especially as regarding the manipulative forces, the vibrations kept from the mechanical appliances as well as those that may aid in purifying the activity of the respiratory system as in reference to those adherences that have been existent in the pleural area.
3. Be mindful of the diets.
4. And we should continue to keep on the improve.
5. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Do you find Miss [1483] of ..., Ohio, a happy choice for me to marry? (A) This as we find should be rather approached from the mental attitude or aptitude, or from the desire of the body's seeking [1483] as respecting the associations and activities through the experiences in the earth. These as we find have had associations that require that there be a close association. As to whether in the office or capacity of mate or companion, depends upon the manner in which each may approach such a condition. For this, to be sure, presents a state of associations that are often bound by what is termed by some as propriety, or as in keeping with the moral or religious tend or trend, or the abilities and activity in the mental and the material world. These as we find all considered, it might be desirable for the working out of the associations and of those activities that might bring - or COULD bring - into the experience of each that which would bring an opportunity for developments

from the SOUL'S standpoint to each. Yet these become choices that are so much of the material world and are bound by material surroundings, that unless they each find that their spiritual attributes of thought and purpose and of ideal are alike, it would create differences. Hence WE would give rather that the choices be made between their own communion as one with another.
7. (Q) Have you constructive suggestions as to what should be my attitude, or thought toward her? (A) As just indicated. If the ideals, if the desires as to the purpose of activity in the material world are in accord, these then will bring harmonious material experiences. Though they offer ofttimes their own earthly hardships, if the purposes and the ideals of the individuals are in accord, then they may be very sure that the outcome of their oneness of purpose will bring a strength that will build constructive experiences in the sojourn of each in this experience.
8. (Q) Is there another entity equally or more desirable for me to marry? (A) This again becomes rather a matter of self-interpretation than that from an outside force. These may be better judged by their association and the application of their experiences in the earth, and then the needs of each to be paralleled and judged for themselves. For to give to any soul that this or that IS THE way is to take from that soul that which is its birthright. While in material applications as in physical conditions existent in a body, these may be given as for that which is toward corrective measures. Then the choice of application is made by the individual. But to give that companionship that is so much akin to the creating of the environ for each soul's activity and for the making of channels through which other souls may be given an opportunity for entrance or for activity in a material world - the choices must be made in the individuals.
9. (Q) Does it seem correct for me to make the trip to ..., Ohio for New Year's Day? and how long should I plan to remain there? (A) As has just been indicated, if there are those precautionary measures given that have been heretofore outlined, and as we find still existent, then this would be
1173-9 Page 3
well. Not only for the material change but for the mental anticipation and the mental conditions as created by the change in the environmental forces. But forget not, there is much work of a spiritual nature to be done by self. And know, as the strength increases in the physical, it offers the opportunities for the better expression that may become more and more applicable in the experiences of those whom the entity may contact. And as has ever been, those then that are the nearer and the dearer - by the material and mental ties - become the first to whom such a message may come; and to those of such an environ that may bring the strength for resistances as well as the cooperative and compatible activities for planning the actions of the entity in its present sojourn.
10. (Q) Have you any definite suggestions or cautions concerning the management of my life after arrival in ..., Ohio? (A) None other than as has been intimated or outlined for the entity. Know, the basis of all thy planning must be in that which is prompted from the spiritual and the ideal import. In WHATEVER service or whatever activity, or whatever association, let those impelling forces as arise from that thou knowest, thou feelest, be expressed - ye must be about thy Father's, thy Brother's, business; that the earth may be better for THOU having lived in same. For each soul is a channel in manifested form through which, in the body-activities, others may take hope, others may know that thy Redeemer LIVETH and IS ever at hand.
11. (Q) Do you see me making a trip South alone, or with my parents? (A) This we do not find in the immediate, though this may come a little later - in a month, two months, three months; but not the better in the immediate as we find.
12. (Q) Would you advise that I return to ..., N.Y.? (A) That again depends much upon the stability of self in purpose and in activity, and that environ created by the very words and deeds and acts of self in the changed environment. While that in ... is ideal in many respects, there are ties and there are longings in the environ near and around [Ohio] that - ALL things considered, if the environ is cooperative, coordinating - would be well to consider; in the light that these offer not only independence but dependence - if it is to be made in the environs created by the very changes wrought in thy mental as well as thy physical experience.
13. (Q) Can you give me the name of a good osteopath in [Ohio]?
1173-9 Page 4
(A) This had best be made in conjunction with the present osteopath, that there may be the same consideration given by being recommended to one as in the same line of thought and as to what treatment is necessary. If such is done by the present osteopath, then there may be expected much better cooperation and coordination in the carrying out of that which has already been begun. These suggestions then should come through their regular channels, should they not?
14. (Q) Any further advice or counsel that would be helpful at this time? (A) Keep in a constructive attitude mentally, physically. For the Mind is the Builder, as well as those activities created by the environmental influences of the body AND the mind. Hence be not overcome with the doubts and fears, but overcome them with the consciousness that He maketh not afraid.
