Time of Reading 11:35 to 11:50 A. M. ..., Va. (Ck. Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1187]; this we have had before. Conditions are improved, as we find. However, there are still those precautions to be taken, and to so far as possible dissipate the condition to prevent greater pressures being made upon portions of the central nervous system through the circulatory forces upon the brain centers themselves.
2. Well to keep up the massage, that there may be no settling or segregations in the IMPULSES along the cerebrospinal system.
3. Keep the feet and the limbs warm, though not too hot.
4. Well that with the inactivity an oil, as Usoline or the like, be given, that there be no refuse forces left in the system; that the pressures are not produced by the filling of the alimentary canal along any portion of same.
5. Do not STRAIN the body, but if the bowels or the kidneys do not act nominally, well that enemas be used to cleanse same.
6. Do not have water too hot; this produces the greater stress. Have it at body temperature or even lower when used.
7. Use in the last water the Glyco-Thymoline as an antiseptic.
8. In the massage, as well as in the correction that are being made osteopathically, massage the left side, especially from the face - that is, the muscles of the neck downward in a rotary motion, with this as a combination: To 1 1/2 ounces Russian White Oil, add in the order named: Olive oil.............................1 ounce, Tincture of Myrrh...................1/2 ounce, Oil of Cedar........................1/2 ounce, Oil of Wintergreen..................1/2 ounce, Compound Tincture of Benzoin........1/2 ounce.

9. These tend to separate, but shake together before they are to be massaged; not hard, but just what the body absorbs. This in the muscular force, this in the centers along the spine and all the way from side of face TO the end of the spine and even to the limbs. These will relax, these will absorb and these will act upon the lymph and the emunctory circulation; thus giving stamina to those portions that have shown rupture or seepage in those areas along the spine that have indicated where the trouble originally arose.
10. While it is well to relieve pressure, do not attempt to make corrections until the body has gained its equilibrium from the present crisis in the present disturbance.
11. We will find that the use of those properties that are a part of morphia, but they are of the dross of same, will aid in relieving pressure in circulation, see? These given two or three times a day are helpful.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) Like the tablet given her this morning? (A) This is as given. Use the massage.
14. (Q) Should the massage with the oils be used on the right side also, where the tingling is? (A) Principally on the left, but the right side - as in the arm, as in the side - the tingling sensation is the circulation starting. Hence as indicated, begin with along the side of the left side of face - this is where the circulation crosses through the vagus center, all the way down. To be sure on the right side, but more on the left. Just what the body absorbs, not excesses, see? Well that this be sponged off with tepid water AFTER she has rested for twenty to thirty minutes after the massage. This once a day should be sufficient, preferably in the evening so that it will make the body rest the better.
15. (Q) Should the osteopathic treatments [by Dr. Gena Lowndes Crews, D.O.] be given in the cervical now? (A) Very little, if the massage is given properly.
16. (Q) Should the Usoline be given this evening or in this morning? (A) Be well just before the lunch.
17. We are through with this reading.
