1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1192]. Now, we find the body very good in most respects. There are the nearer normal functioning of the organs as respect to resuscitation of building forces, than is ordinarily found. There are conditions that, will the body take cognizance of, though, that may be bettered for the greater vitality and greater resistance in the physical functioning. These have to do mostly with the nerve system and its reaction as related to the body in general.
2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, Mrs. [1192] we are speaking of, present in this room:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find near normal. There are at times, when depressions of the nervous nature react in system, that the blood supply is taxed through the digestive system. These, however, with the near normal functioning of the digestive system, do assimilate - and finally are thrown off, for the eliminations, AS such, are very good, and are equally distributed and balanced, and coordinate with this system.
4. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, here we find the body should take cognizance of those conditions as exist, especially in the cervical and upper dorsal region, for - with the taxing of the system mentally, those of the pneumogastrics show the stress as is put on the sensory system. Hence those conditions as exist at times through the back of neck, head, face, eyes, and throat. These are as yet purely reflex, from pressure - consisting of a SMALL lesion, as is seen in the 4th and 6th cervical, in the 2nd and 3rd reflexly. In the reaction of these to system, the depressions as may be produced there cause the reactions.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, these are very good in the general manner. At times distresses are seen in the lower hepatic circulation, from strains as have been given as appear in digestive system. Mindful, then, that the colon be kept rather well cleansed, and do not allow
1192-1 Page 2
pressures to come in system so that there are greater disturbances in the lower hepatic circulation and the organs of pelvis, from sympathetic conditions, and we will find these - taken NOW - may prevent greater disturbances later on.
6. To meet the needs of these, we would REST as much as is normal from strains MENTALLY, and for the nerve system, and we would OSTEOPATHICALLY adjust those conditions as exist in the upper dorsal and the cervical regions. These should not require a great deal of attention at present, but - allowed to run - may cause greater disturbance later on. Ready for questions.
7. (Q) How often should the osteopathic treatments be given? (A) Not oftener than every other day. Better, possibly, were it about twice each week. Say Tuesday's and Friday's.
8. (Q) How many treatments will be required to relieve the condition? (A) That depends, of course, wholly upon the RESPONSE the body makes for the condition. Should NOT require more than eight to sixteen. We are through for the present.
