1. EC: Yes, we have the record here of the entity, and those relationships with the universe and universal forces; that are latent and manifested in the personalities of the present entity, called [1193].
2. In interpreting the records as we find here, these are rather unusual. There is a great deal of light, a great deal of music, a great deal of groups about the entity.
3. In giving these interpretations as we find them, as may be helpful, applicable in the experience of the entity, know that those that are given as innate or as manifested influences are but inclinations. And it depends upon the application of self to those abilities, to those innate urges, as to whether they become as experiences to be had or experiences through which development may come.
4. For there are those conditions in the experience of each and every soul, those lessons that must be learned first; that there is each day set before thee life and death, good and evil, choose thou!
5. First, then, in interpreting these that have been the experience of this entity in the sojourns about the earth or in the living experiences of the entity in its sojourns in the earth, know that these are a portion of self. And that the IDEAL - not as a material ideal that the entity would be equal to those in its chosen profession (for, of course, it should be a professional person), or that these would even be surpassed. Rather let the ideal be set in those influences, those conditions that are of the SPIRITUAL nature, and that there may be used in and through and by self all of those abilities for thine own SOUL development, as well as for bringing material success or material gain, or material fame.
1193-1 Page 2
6. For what profit it an individual, a person, to have gained the whole world and lost his or her own self respect, lost his or her own association with the Creative Forces - the birthright of every soul as it manifests in the earth!
7. First, then, study within self. Know what are the motivative forces, whether they be prompted by self-preservation, self-glorification, self-indulgences, or by those true influences that the entity will determine in self, by the grace of the Creative Forces, to make the world - ITS world - a better place for its having lived in same.
8. For the opportunities of fame, the opportunities of fortune, the opportunities to become one that will be lauded by many, lie ahead of the entity; if there is the application of self into those experiences to which the entity in itself HAS developed thus far.
9. Let not, then, the turmoils of any nature, the indifferences that may be manifested by any about the entity, veer the entity from holding fast to that which has been builded; that same will be used in contacting with individuals in such measures and manners as to make, as to cause, as to arouse within the minds, the hearts, the souls of others their relationship, THEIR obligations, THEIR duties to a LIVING God!
10. In the associations then from those influences about the earth, we find in Mercury making for the high mental abilities; especially in those fields that will attain to that of being either the entertainer, the director, in those fields of dramatic art, or in those things that give the expression of the mental forces OF the individual into and unto its fellow man.
11. As Jupiter shows for the relationships that will bear with the great associations of large numbers of individuals, of the group and the masses with which the entity may be associated. Also under those environs there becomes rather the necessity of the PERSONAL or INDIVIDUAL activity of the self in these directions, in these relationships.
12. Also in Venus those tendencies that are both good AND bad are indicated. Love, justice, mercy, patience, endurance; and also self-indulgences, tendencies for neglect, hoping for the loving or patient influence of others that may bear with self. That tendency also for putting off is apparent in the experience of the entity. Or the waiting until the entity would be moved by some influence from without or from within to go forward or to apply self in this or that direction.
13. Take precautions in these directions; for ever is there presented here and there apparent shortcuts, but these are
1193-1 Page 3
as those things that have been given; there are those forces that at times, those ways that appear to be right, but the end thereof becomes such as to bring only confusion.
14. Then, holding to the ideal, let it make for those influences within self that may bring those periods when it becomes necessary for the self to apply self in that requiring study, labor, persistency, patience, application - be willing to pay the price. For it will bring the fruits of those things in thine own experience. For what we sow, that we reap.
15. If ye sow self-indulgence, if ye sow neglect, if ye sow those things that are a tendency for waiting for a more convenient season, these can only bring more and more confusion in thine experience.
16. But set thy determinations; for THESE in thine abilities mentally, when there is the reasoning within self, can be seen to direct in that way and manner that bringeth forth fruits WORTHY of those applications of self in those directions that become the choice of the entity in this material experience.
17. In the influences then that arise from the sojourns of the entity in the earth, these as we find, while not a great number that make for the activative influences in the present, yet these are very definite, these are the influences that are at present then applicable in the preparations of self for that as may be chosen for its activities in the earth:
18. Before this we find the entity lived in the earth during those periods when there were the first applications in the experiences of individuals in the land of the present nativity, during those periods when the first of the voice developments - as the voice of Patti - were heard in those lands.
19. The entity was among those who came under the influence of those experiences; not with him, the showman that made for rather the unreal and the conditions that brought for wonderment, but that were indicated as the arousing of the greater influences in the lives of individuals that were moved to determine within self that what had been aroused within themselves would make of them better mothers, better husbands, better children, more patient with those of the fellow men in the little conditions that became and grew as misunderstandings.
20. For each soul must learn to fall away from those things of determining to have its OWN way, without respect to the ideas and the ideals and the experiences of others. Then one creates (by doing such) a barrier, until this has
1193-1 Page 4
brought that which may be called in the experiences of others not as open-mindedness - rather as that which makes for tolerance; knowing that there is so much good in the life of each and every soul attempting in ANY manner to give expressions of itself, ITS ideals being manifested in its life, whether it is aware of same or not.
21. Then let the activities in the present, as during those experiences - as Carol Charmaleign, make for that same as then; that others would think, others would feel, others would attempt to make for the use and the application of the best that was in them.
22. The entity then was a reader of verse, of song, in those experiences in that period. While not in those positions where great throngs proclaimed the abilities, yet in its way, in its associations the entity brought hope and cheer to the many; GAINING throughout the whole of the experience.
23. Though oft from the material associations there were brought into the experiences those things that made for wonderment and disappointment, yet the ideals were held true.
24. Hold then fast to those experiences in the present that will ever bring no unkind thought of SELF or regrets within self that little kindnesses here, a gentle word there, would have been so much better than the harsh words spoken, or the flaunting of self's abilities, or the flaunting of self's activities in those ways and manners that bring or brought disappointment to others.
25. Patience, persistence, then, becomes as the seed of faith, of hope, that blossom into those influences that make for harmony in the experience of others.
26. For if ye speak kind only to those who speak kindly to you, what hast thou gained?
27. Before that we find the entity was in the now called Grecian land, during those periods when the first of the entity's sex - or the first of the women acted upon the stages with men, or alone in their groups. For these included those periods when there were the associations with the Grecians and the Romans, and the entity then was BEAUTIFUL in body, stately in carriage, and made for that activity in such measures and manners that what is now called the dance of the individual first was presented by the entity AS an act, as a portion of that which brought entertainment, pleasure, and the interpretation of the activities of those peoples.
28. This began, as may be found by the entity in the study of those periods of that day, by the interpretations of those things that were written first as stories, as fables,
1193-1 Page 5
as those things that depicted the RELATIONSHIPS of man WITH the unseen forces, or those of the gods that came to earth for the interpretation of and for their relationships with mankind in every form.
29. The entity then, in the name Pheiffer, gained and lost and gained. For as indicated when the entity swayed the larger groups and those that were in authority and in power made so over the entity's activities as to bring on those positions of power and fame, the entity forgot those that were struggling as the entity for recognition by those who judged the activities of individuals in their relationships with those of the populace as a whole.
30. THERE the entity lost. But when there came those experiences when there were the attempts to correlate the activities of the Grecians AND Romans, the entity suffered; yet gained the greater understanding.
31. So, in thine getting, get first understanding! That what one knows is not what makes for spiritual and soul development, but what one does about what one knows! If there be not the soul in that in which self may apply self, then it becomes as confusion in the individual.
32. Hold fast to those experiences of Pheiffer, when those activities come into thy experience, that there may be no regrets. And the promises that are made to others FULFILL them, as ye would have THY promises fulfilled to thee!
33. Before that we find the entity was in the land about the peoples of promise in a strange land, during those periods when there was the raising of Esther to a position of power.
34. And AGAIN there were those activities with the Persians of the Grecians, and the rising of power, and the falling away of power of the Persian king.
35. The entity then was among the chosen peoples, and a RELATION to not only Mordicai but to Esther also, and came into a position of power as one that would supply not only to its own peoples but to those of the king's household, to those of the king's consorts, the entertainments, the actualities of the experiences, of the interpretation at times of the law, the applications in those experiences that brought the closer relationships of the entity's own peoples to the king and those that were in authority.
36. There we find the entity gaining and losing. In those same activities that made for understandings and interpretations, because of power, because of fear of those influences that would be wrought, the entity became self-indulgent - and lost for a portion of those experiences.
37. The name then was Carolieen.
1193-1 Page 6
38. In the application of those experiences in the present activities of the entity, as opportunities arise from those in authority, those in power, make rather in self that of holding to that as set as thine ideal in the moral, the mental, the spiritual relationships.
39. For those that build upon, those that come from other sources only do so to their own undoing.
40. Let thy ideal guide thee, ever.
41. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as or called the Egyptian, when those peoples began the interpretations and the applications of the truths that were gathered from the Atlanteans.
42. The ENTITY came into the experience in Egypt but was of the Atlantean peoples, and interpreted in the Temple Beautiful those beauties of the temples in Poseidia; for from there we find those great lights - opaline lights, as it were - about the entity. And these, as we find, would be those stones that to others may bring as mystery yet the fire opal would be of the stones that should be about the entity; for the holding of that fire, that vigor, that UNDERSTANDING that makes for purification, even though the fires of the flesh must be BURNED OUT that the glory of self may be made manifest in being a channel for the glory of the living truths to be known and experienced among others.
43. As to the abilities of self in this experience, as we find:
44. That as has been indicated. First the preparation of the body in an athletic manner, that the rhythm of the body, the rhythm of the soul may be expressed in those ways and manners that there may come - to the experience of those for whom the entity may interpret this or that portion of man's activity in the earth the TRUE understanding!
45. Ready for questions.
46. (Q) Along what specific lines should I seek, in undertaking a career? (A) As a reader, as a dramatic interpreter of any of those conditions or experiences that may be the choice of the entity. Which would include all FORMS of dance but INTERPRETATIONS that not arouse the BODILY forces, but the SPIRITUAL rhythm.
47. (Q) Should I attend college after graduating from high school? (A) For a period at least, for - the MENTAL abilities need their expanding for the spiritual interpretations; these should be a part of the SELF training.
48. (Q) In what college could I secure the best training for my career? (A) That which presents itself rather as a finishing school
1193-1 Page 7
than as a curriculum that is to go through sciences or through any of those activities, see?
49. (Q) Would you advise a college outside of New York, or in what section? (A) Those of the New England section, or nigh unto New York.
50. (Q) From what source will help come for this career? (A) As the application of self is made in those correct directions for the body, the mind, the soul development, those influences around the body will so shape themselves as to make for those opportunities for the expressions that are the chosen fields of activity. Hold fast to the faith, as thou didst in thine associations in the Persian experience, as thou did in the interpretation in the Egyptian period, as thou held in all of thy BODILY experience in the Grecian and Roman period. And ye will find the ways, the means for expanding, for interpreting, for bringing to self that which may be said at the end of each experience, "I have given my best - in His name."
