1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe and the universal forces, giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now called [1204].
3. In interpreting these records, much of many varied ways or phases might be given or indicated. But these are chosen with the desire that this be a helpful experience for the entity. Know that this information is given, or chosen, from the mental-spiritual angle.
4. For, the entity will learn, life must be purposeful; and that each entity, as it chooses its way of expression, finds life manifested in that manner - or patterns may be drawn from same in that particular choice the entity makes in activity.
5. In the entity's present field of endeavor, for instance, it will be seen how that the divine influences conserve everything in nature - time, space, color, opportunity, expression, all. And these are the phases, in its activity and association with others - as a teacher - that may enable the entity to interest and to give to others such interpretation as to find more harmony in the work and in self.
6. Then, in thy daily dealings with others, forget not to interpret the lesson, the problem of the day, from a SPIRITUAL angle. Not that as of a goody-goody manner; not that as of rote for rote's sake, but - as is expressed in nature - step by step, line by line, precept upon precept,
1204-3 Page 2
BECAUSE it gives such security in life and its expressions in the earth as to make same more worth while.
7. In interpreting the records here, we find that the astrological as well as the material sojourns have their urges latent and manifested. As a composite of urges we find these:
8. The entity is one particularly able to hold attention, to attract others when desired - of whatever walk or station in life. And this, to be sure, may be used either for good or for bad. Hence that injunction, that - as you attract others, give them something of a spiritual import that makes their lives better, THINKING better, hoping better, looking for the better - not materially but in the high mental forces.
9. One capable of adapting self to circumstance; inclined - at times only - to "put things off." It is well always, mentally, to hold to that of wishful, hopeful thinking. For, as ye think in thy heart, so is that urge to bring that hoped for into materialization. Yet, meet the problems each day. But lay them down when ye attempt to aid others.
10. Astrologically we find Venus afflicted yet aided by Saturn and Jupiter as a part of the experience. Thus we find those influences that appear to others conflicting, and even at times to self when inactive. Thus the tendency in periods of discouragement for the entity to condemn self, and to JUSTIFY self in the manner of thinking because of activities of others.
11. Venus also brings an appreciation of beauty, of art, and of home and home surroundings. Hence those activities as of home economics, home training, are channels through which expressions may be given for development in a mental and material manner, as well as bringing associations and opportunities for material as well as mental and spiritual service.
12. Know that it is an unchangeable law - they that would be the greatest among any group will be able to serve that group the more. This requires policy, tact, as well as psychological analyses of material and mental surroundings. Yet, as indicated, there are the abilities and urges toward the beautiful, the ability to see the best in everyone, and that approach as for the universal consciousness - or as to things and peoples and groups and masses.
13. Hence as we find, for at least a period, the entity should build a career; though the greater abilities will lie in working WITH a companion rather than merely BEING a companion. For, tendencies are toward extravagancies in some directions. Yet, as we shall find from material
1204-3 Page 3
sojourns, few people there be that can be said to be a better bargain hunter or a better buyer in material things. These may be excessive. Know that in companionship or in every activity there are many sides to every question.
14. As to the activities in the material plane, that are as urges that may be expressed in the characteristics, the abilities of the entity in its reaction to emotional things, - we find that at periods when changes are wrought there is produced a momentary overexuberance or enthusiasm that is allowed at times to pall. It needs a SPIRITUAL enlivening, if there would be that growth in self and in its expressions and in its abilities to make the experiences worth while to others.
15. Not all of the sojourns may be indicated, but these are given as helpful forces for the entity to analyze latent and manifested urges; in order to minimize the faults, to magnify the virtues.
16. For, know that each soul constantly meets its own self. No problem may be run away from. MEET it NOW!
17. Hence that injunction indicated, that in giving spiritual interpretations to others ye find it for thine own self.
18. Before this, then, the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, during those periods when there were the sieges of New York.
19. It was during the American Revolution, when many of the soldiers were camped there from other lands.
20. Then in the name Susan Lucknor, the entity used its abilities as an entertainer to induce those of various stations to interest themselves in combining to make for bettering conditions in the material sense.
21. The entity was not as a housekeeper, yet one that understood and directed (in mind) those policies and manners of keeping an inn during that experience - in that place now known as Corning (?) [sounded like "Carmen"].
22. In the present from that sojourn we find the abilities to appear at its best under most circumstances.
23. The entity gained throughout the experience.
24. Also those abilities as a teacher, as an instructor, as a director in those things especially pertaining to home economics or the directing policies of households, arise from that sojourn. There are also those abilities as an instructor in correspondence, or letter building, or typewriting instruction; though such in that experience, to be sure, were not done by mechanical means but with the quill.
25. Before that the entity was in the Grecian land, during
1204-3 Page 4
those periods when there were many of those activities in the various arts (as termed in the present) by individuals.
26. The entity was among those first active in her sex as a sculptress, as an artist, to such an extent as to call the attention of others to her work. Thus a group - a school, it might be called - grew up about the entity - in an activity of ruggedness.
27. Hence the desire which arose in that experience for travel, and which may find expression in the present; and especially to see a special portion of the world - Switzerland - the majesty of the mountains and of nature; and the abilities that come with the communing with that growing in nature arise from those expressions there, as Cusion.
28. Before that the entity was in the Holy Land, during those periods when there were the rebuildings and the returning to the rebuilding of the temple and the walls of same.
29. The entity was among those of the priestly tribe; a Levite, yet aided in all of the constructive activity about the temple service as to its replenishing and rebuilding.
30. Thus we find the abilities for the routine without becoming rote, as warned of. There are the abilities to combine the daily activities with the spiritual development. THIS is a virtue so few have attained - to make their religious experiences, their spirituality, PRACTICAL in their daily lives!
31. The name then was Joschebede, and the entity gained much.
32. In the present there are those abilities for activities that deal with the creating or formation of ideas and ideals for others.
33. Before that the entity was in the earth during those days when the peoples were returning from the Egyptian land to the promised land.
34. The entity was among those of the household of the sons of Levi, and close to the sons of Aaron; being then a companion to one of those destroyed because of offering strange fire - Abihu - then in the name Ashua.
35. With those periods of turmoil that arose within itself, the entity found dissension; yet becoming later the companion of Ithamar's son, the entity brought the bettered conditions when there came the periods of preserving and maintaining for those of the priesthood a unity of activity in their temple service, directing in the separating of each group for definite services.
36. In the present from that experience we find that those
1204-3 Page 5
engaged materially in such activities as a service in temple, or in teaching, or in directing of the spiritual life, will be particularly attracted to this entity; though the entity will hold such afar off. It would be well to consider same during the twenty-sixth and twenty-seventh years in this sojourn, for in those periods the entity should think of marriage.
37. Before that the entity was in the land of the present nativity, in the early periods when there were those activities established there by those from the Atlantean land after the destructions had come.
38. The entity came to the South and West from what is now the Yucatan. Hence when the entity builds a home in the present, make it in the South and West.
39. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, - that to which it may attain, and how:
40. Analyze that as we have indicated.
41. Through those periods of ministry to others in the activities as a teacher, direct in the channels and manners indicated, if you would build for the best in self and for greater creative forces in the experiences of others.
42. In such periods build also such that the faith of thy fathers may be kept intact; for the Lord thy God is One.
43. Thy activities and experiences each day, then, are opportunities to UNIFY purposes to the glory of God; not to justify self by any, but to glorify all to thy Maker.
44. Ready for questions.
45. (Q) Has the entity chosen the proper life's work? (A) Very well. Following those lines as indicated, it may make same more practical, more helpful, more instructive, and more harmonious in self and in its dealing with its associates (called superiors) or counselors.
46. (Q) How can entity improve conditions around present job and instill the right ideals in the children? (A) As we have just been trying to say - by studying to show self first approved unto GOD and thy ideal; then by PRACTISING same in thy dealings with others.
47. (Q) How can entity overcome feeling of inferiority which causes discouragement so easily? (A) This has been indicated. By putting all thy trust in the Creative Forces. For, ye know that He is not a respecter of persons.
48. (Q) In what field is it best for this entity to develop the latent artistic ability? (A) As we find, statue building or such; mouldings, mitres, filigree work about ornaments and such, see?
49. (Q) How can the entity develop in this work to keep her
1204-3 Page 6
thoughts and ideals at a point where she can think thoughts and do deeds that will brighten and cleanse not only her own soul but bring joy and comfort to those around her? (A) As just indicated - by making the spiritual ideals PRACTICAL - which is a latent ability and may be manifested. Magnify that virtue to make thy religious or spiritual life PRACTICAL in thy daily life.
50. (Q) How can entity develop an aggressiveness and go-gettiveness to insure her material success without being dependent on others? (A) All of these questions are answered in the one instruction as first given: KNOW THAT THE LORD THY GOD IS O N E!
