Time of Reading 11:45 to 12:15 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1206]; this we have had before.

3. Here we find developments good. There are improvements in the coordination between mental and physical reactions. There ARE awakenings in the spiritual to mental and material possibilities, probabilities. There are those physical reactions from same.

4. We do not find organic or even functional disorders. There are tendencies for a better equilibrium throughout.

5. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) How can I increase my vitality and energy? (A) By using that which exists in the physical forces of the body. Here, in these periods of physical development, come those tendencies to dream, to react to WAITING responses. Now, set thyself to be the control, through thy mental self (for mind is the builder), and budget thy time - for physical development, physical relaxation, physical improvement, mental relaxation, mental taxation, mental improvements and mental developments. And let the basic forces ever be prompted by thy spiritual ideals. And keep true to that budget ye set for thyself. So much time for this, for that. And this will bring a consistent reaction, yet may not become rote. For, as the budget is set, make thy daily activities coordinate in thy daily life. Not only will the vitality and energy improve, but there will be much more FULLNESS in the life experience.

7. (Q) What causes dark circles under eyes? How correct? (A) These as we find come from the activities in the adrenals. They are not as functioning nor as organic

1206-13 Page 2

disturbances, but the activities that need only to be controlled by those influences that will come from certain times to do this, to do that, and to give sufficient body-movement, bodily exercise, bodily relaxation, bodily development; in the mental as well as in the general relaxations. And sit a little more erect, oft.

8. (Q) Please specify what I can do to improve my thinking capacity? (A) Study that as just given. Exercise of the body brings strength and resistance. Exercise of mental activity brings resistances, growth and expansion. Hence set self to attain to certain portions of thy mental activity. And this will bring broadening of vision, broadening of interests. For, remember, the ability to attain to good companionship is to be capable of being interested in and to acquaint self with all phases of experiences of those with whom ye come in contact. This gives vision, this gives freedom, and yet knowledge. And with those activities and interests, with such an application of self, comes wisdom as to how to apply knowledge. Many individuals have knowledge and little wisdom. Many have wisdom without knowledge. But as has been indicated for body, mind and soul - these coordinated, the body may build that purpose for which it chose to enter this experience. Know, as in thy studies, in thy associations, ye came - ye come daily - not by chance, but for a purpose; and thy experiences are as but opportunities. But what is thy purpose in thy experience? That ye yourself, your ego, may be merely satisfied or gratified? Or is it that ye may gratify appetites or desires of thy body? Or, are ye a channel through which the Creative Forces, God, Love, may be manifested in the earth through the gift of the Son in the flesh? that ye, in thy flesh, in thy body, may be a glorifying of those ideals? That is the purpose of each soul. Then, as ye apply, as ye mete out, remember, there are laws that are unchangeable. Friendships beget friendships, love begets love. Making self beautiful is to be beautiful in the lives of others, not in self but of others. For, the basic principle of that love manifested by the Son was ever, "Others, Lord, others."

9. (Q) How can I attain a better memory? (A) Read all of that which has been indicated, and know -

1206-13 Page 3

as ye apply, as ye ask, as ye manifest, as ye recall - more and more is recalled to thee. This is memory. For, know the basic principle comes in Him as He has given, "I will bring ALL things to thy memory from the foundation of the world." Do not think, then, that the mind of any active individual may ever be such as to be overburdened with memories, but make them ever a helpful influence. To be sure, many individuals have set rules as to how courses in memory are set by associations. But most of these, or many, have been only for material gains. Thy life is not set as one for purely the material things. For, know, the earth and all therein is the Lord's. The silver, the gold, the cattle on a thousand hills are His. He knows thy needs, but thou must CHOOSE as to what ye will do with the talents He hath given thee. As ye apply, as ye make use of that in hand, more is given thee. For, day unto day is sufficient, if use is made thereof; not to self, not to self alone. Not that self is not to be considered, but losing self in good is the better way to FIND self. What is good? How is such defined in thy life - of awakening to all the possibilities that exist in thy intake of life and its phases? To do good is to think constructively, to think creatively. What is creative, what is constructive, ye may ask? That which never hinders, which never makes for the bringing of any harm to others. These bring then the memories, the ability to recall. For, remember, as He hath given, "If ye love me ye will keep my commandments. My commandments are not grievous - and I will come and abide - NOW." Ye recall, too, that without Him there was not ANYTHING made that was made. Then that companionship in mind, in spirit, of all that is creative, brings that necessary, that constant opportunity then that is the most beautiful of all. And these are thy possibilities, these are thy opportunities. For, as has been indicated oft in thy experiences in the earth, the beauty of the Lord, the beauty of love, the beauty of grace, the beauty of that which would bring joy, hope, love in the lives of others, by the little things, has been a part of thee. Not by some great deed to be accomplished. For thy

smile can make the whole day GLAD for many.

10. (Q) What can I do to improve skin condition of face and back, and of scalp and hair? (A) At least once a week, after a good, thorough workout of body in exercise - following the bath afterward, massage the back, the face, the body, the limbs with Pure Peanut Oil. Then this will add to the beauty. And know, if ye would take each day, through thy experience, two almonds, ye will never have skin blemishes, ye will never be tempted even in body toward cancer nor towards those things that make blemishes in the body-forces themselves. And the oil rubs once a week, ye will never have rheumatism nor those concurrent conditions from stalemate in liver and kidney activities. [See 1206-13, Par. R2.]

11. (Q) How improve scalp and hair? (A) A little White Vaseline occasionally massaged into the scalp after a plain shampoo is the better manner for keeping scalp. To be sure, if there are periods when there seems to be tendencies for scaly portions or roughness in scalp, for four or five days take a drop or two of Atomidine and then leave off. For these will disappear - if the other exercises and massages are taken.

12. (Q) Shall I begin again One A Day Tablets? (A) Begin these about the middle of December. Keep them until the middle of March.

13. (Q) Adiron? (A) We would not take these so oft - unless there comes cold or congestion from exposure, or from overeating or undereating - then we would take them for a period to gain strength. We can overdo as well as underdo. The exercises, the rubs, will do much to supply foods for body, for mind, and foods for the whole energizing of the life experience if consistently applied. In budgeting thy time, do not set thyself to activities spasmodically - for body improvement in ANY respect, or periodically; but rather systematically. Ye would learn, then, not to become a slave to custom. Ye do not become a slave to smiling, nor to loving, nor to being a friend, nor to thinking good. These become a part of thy whole being. So in thy budgeting, let the activities be consistent and persistent; and so with the use of foods or stimulants to the body. Use when NEEDED, but don't overdo and do not become a slave to habit.

14. (Q) Jerusalem artichoke? (A) These properties as we find are a part of the needs in

1206-13 Page 5

the body's experience. But, as indicated, take these just occasionally, through their proper seasons, and these will be found to be supplying needs to keep a normal balance.

15. (Q) Any other remedies? (A) As we find, keep those activities consistently, and little of remedies will be needed.

16. (Q) Do you advise any corrections in diet? (A) We do not find faults in same in the present.

17. (Q) Have you suggestions for better regulated school and home life? (A) Very good suggestions have been made as to activities to be supplied, or applied. Write them down. As indicated, do not become a slave to routine, but ye need a little more routine in home and in school. But let these come as the natural things in thy experience.

18. (Q) Any other helpful suggestions? (A) Do not leave from thy budgeting of time thy periods of prayer or meditation. Let thy meditations oft be, in thy own words or in thy own manner; meaning them, not as rote - but LIVE them as a part of thee: LORD, THOU ART HOLY! KEEP THOU ME HOLY IN MY LIFE, IN MY ASSOCIATIONS WITH MY ASSOCIATES, WITH MY HOME, WITH MY FRIENDS, WITH MY ENEMIES; THAT I MAY BE DAILY A CHANNEL OF BLESSING TO SOMEONE, IN AN APPRECIATION OF THY LOVE THOU HAST SHOWN THROUGH THY SON JESUS THE CHRIST.
