Time of Reading 4:50 to 4:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

2. As we find, the general developing conditions are very good.

3. There must be precautions taken, however, as we have indicated, as to the assimilation and eliminations of the body.

4. Because there is an extra quantity of caseins or fats, not quite a balanced diet in the milk or the feeding, it becomes necessary that there be the addition sufficiently of Magnesia or the food values for such infants in the combinations of this with the Milk of Bismuth, for the proper balance to be kept.

5. As to the quantities, these will necessarily depend upon the developing or the seriousness of the condition. Very small quantities are preferable, to be sure; this given only when there is the tendency for vomiting or the Castoria when there are not the proper eliminations.

6. Do these then with the proper precautions, yet not overdoing it at any time.

7. Watch the effect of these upon the body also for the rash, and for those precautions that the body is kept from any infectious forces by the souring of foods upon the skin or the effect of fecal forces that are not cleansed entirely - and the activities in a general manner.

8. Do these, and the precautions will be worth while.

9. (Q) How far apart should the Bismuth and Magnesia be taken? (A) These are not to be taken at all unless conditions require same. The giving of the Bismuth or the Milk of Bismuth would be only when there is indicated by the stool that there is NOT the proper assimilation taking place. And this would be only possibly one to two drops, and then might not be given for fifty or a hundred thousand years, but as the necessity calls for! Just see common-sense precautions with same!

10. (Q) Any suggestions for the mother's diet, regarding

the milk for the baby? (A) Plenty of calciums, plenty of the irons, plenty of those food values that are included in such that a balance may be kept proper for the body. Plenty of proteins but not too MUCH of proteins that arise from too great quantities of fat.

11. (Q) Any special food to be avoided by the mother? (A) As has been indicated, FATS are the most detrimental to all infants in this developing stage. And ANGER! Keep from ANGER! [7/26/36 See 1208-3.]
