1. EC: Yes, we have the entity, and those records of same here of that entity now known as or called [1220].
2. In giving that interpretation as we find here, some warnings also become necessary. As we find if the entity will make application of those experiences that have been, that are to be in the present experience, that in which the soul may gain the more, it may become more activative in those influences and for those purposes for which each soul enters this earth's experience.
3. For the astrological aspects as from the sojourns in environs between those activities in a material plane make for urges, yet in the experience of this entity the active forces that manifest themselves will arise and do arise from sojourns and activities in the material plane.
4. From the astrological we find those influences in which from Jupiter there are the associations with individuals that affect large numbers or groups of people; making for possibilities, probabilities in these relationships in which the ideals of the entity must stand as the leading influence in the experience - or else these will, as in some experiences that will be noted, bring those influences where self-indulgence, self-aggrandizement may make for that as will become detrimental, confounding in the experience of the entity.
5. For the soul is eternal and in its activities in the material plane it gives expression to that in keeping with ITS ideal. The choice EVER then is before the entity. For each association presents an opportunity for the entity's making manifestations of that which IS its ideal.
6. Those influences from that sojourn of the entity in Venus make for a pleasing personality, that again may become a detriment. Yet if the basis of the friendships, of the dealings and relationships with individuals is founded upon
1220-1 Page 2
sentiment - that IS a portion of the entity's experience, as from that love for an IDEAL rather than of having self's own way or indulging in pleasantries that become satisfying to the individual desires or longings that are material, then we may find that those relationships will become more and more as helpful forces. For each soul, each entity IS in the earth a manifestation of Creative Forces or God in activity. Then it does behoove the individuals to more and more quit themselves like sons of a merciful Father.
7. Then show mercy in thy judgments, then show patience with thy foe, thy friend, even as thy God, even as thy ideal His Son in the earth has shown. For Life in its expressions, in its manifestations, when it loses sight of vision or of an ideal, which is perfect in Him, has lost its hold upon its OWN development.
8. These from the astrological sojourns then are both of those forces that make manifest in urges that there may be in the material force of self such a manifestation as to power, position; for these will come in thy time, in THEIR turn, if there will be but held that ideal. And let them come, let them be rather the expression of that as is the outcome. Forget not that of thyself thou canst do but little, but in Him, through Him, thou may be - though as one, but if the Lord is on thy side, WHO can be against or withstand thee?
9. Be patient, be merciful, be just. Be longsuffering with thy fellow man. For in thy experience as thou hast dealt with many, so in this experience if there is but held that ideal, more and more will be those in authority taking the commands from thee, more and more those whom the masses and the classes look for counsel, look for help in material things. But as ye journey through those experiences, hold fast to that as is set in Him, "If ye will abide in me, as I am in the Father, WE will come and sup with thee."
10. In those astrological forces as indicated from Saturn and its influence in the entity's activities in the present, we find the tendency for change, the tendency for commencing over again, the tendency to feel within self "Could I but blot out this, could I but change that" these would make for differences in the activities in the relationships, the activities in the purposes. But how hath He given in His promises, in His judgments? "Use that thou hast in hand." And as ye use this, then may there be given thee the next step.
11. For to him that overcometh, to him that is faithful with the little things of today, to him is given the right, the power, for the ruling over the many, for the directing of
1220-1 Page 3
the much in the material as well as in the affairs of the mental and spiritual lives of individuals.
12. These are, then, those influences that are innate, and manifest themselves through choice in the will as to judgments concerning spiritual forces in the experience of the entity.
13. As to the sojourns in the earth, as has been given these make for those urges that arise manifestedly in the emotions or through the sensory forces. For they are earthy, and manifest in the emotions.
14. Remember, "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord; I will repay!" Remember those that make for the buildings in their own self for position, for power, for fame, for fortune, are but as the doorkeepers in the house of the Lord. GOD giveth the increase. For not of thyself cometh aught but that ye may PROVE thyself worthy to be called by His name.
15. As to the appearances then that have their influence upon the activities and the emotions of the entity in the present, we find:
16. Before this the entity was in that period when there were the activities called the Crusades, when there were the gatherings of many for the purposes for the defense of an idea, for the defense of an ideal.
17. The entity then was among those people that were in what is now the German land, in and about that place called the Rhine or Frankfort.
18. Then the entity was among those who aided in a financial order, in a social order, of gaining the influence of those to aid in the defense of the Holy Land.
19. In the experience the entity gained and lost and gained. For as many came in the influence of those in the lands now called the Holy of Holies, the Holy Land, the Holy City, and came into the persecutions that came from lack of that that is ever given in the experience of each soul, "Let all that thou doest be done in decency and in order," the preparations had not been made. And when illness befell them, and the entity came into the hands of those now known as the Mohammedans - or the peoples that were overrunning the land, in those surroundings did the entity gain an understanding that the Lord is ONE, and that the activities of mercy, peace, justice, longsuffering, brotherly love, kindness and grace are attributes of those fruits that are indeed of the spirit of the Master; and though they may be manifested in the lives and the experiences of those that are called unbelievers, yet they become them and fit them to become as sons of a LIVING Father.
20. In THESE with the return to its home land, to a portion
1220-1 Page 4
of the northernmost portion of same, did the entity then make for the building into the lives and the hearts of the remnant, a stronghearted peoples.
21. Then in the name Umberghen.
22. In the experience in the present from same we find those at times of conflicting influences. For though the Cross leads, those that fall in the shadow of same, those that use same as a pretense become even as self in that experience - an outcast. But know as even then, the Lord is the Lord of the just and the injust [unjust] and hath not willed that any soul should perish, but has with every temptation prepared a means, a way of escape - and calls ON THEE, His son, IN thy dealings with thy fellow man, to make manifest IN those relationships those ideals with THY fellow man, even as thou didst when ye led many to the altar, to the confession, to those experiences in that land.
23. Hence there have been those periods of contemplations of the return to the preparation of self for such an activity. Laudable indeed be these, my son, but know the Lord loveth those that show mercy and peace and justice, even to those that would despitefully use you.
24. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Holy Land, during those periods when there were the preparations of those activities when the Prince of Peace, the Son of man, the Son of God, came into the earth.
25. The entity then was among those that were of the Roman peoples, yet had been stationed in the Palestine or the Jewish land that there might be the reckoning for the customs sought.
26. And the entity then was in the position of overseeing the establishings of those that would be as the collectors of same, and the first to make for that overture of there being chosen individuals from the various faiths so that not only the Romans or the Jewish or the Grecians, the Helvetians, the Egyptians were part in charge of those collectings of same.
27. During those experiences that there were those turmoils from the uprisings of the Jews that rebelled, the entity not only as a soldier but as one that made for the COMMANDING of those that made for the putting down of such raids.
28. And when there came the answer for the service rendered, the entity was in that position of 'all a clean record.' And when the enunciation was made, when the Wise Men came to seek out that answer, the ENTITY - as Puloaus - was given the ROMAN charge that these Wise Men be conducted to that place they sought.
29. Then the entity became even as they, a worshipper, a
1220-1 Page 5
follower of those influences wrought in the minds and the souls and the hearts of men during those experiences.
30. There the entity came to honor and dishonor, to hold that those in authority, those in power that trampled upon the hearts of men and women for their faith and their belief made almost a rebellious one in the entity's experience.
31. Asking for a recall that there be not those greater temptations, yet again in those latter portions of the activities the entity came into the land of Judea and in and about Jerusalem and Bethany.
32. Hence the story, the legend, the influences of that story of the Wise Men, the influence of that story of the edicts of the Jew, the attempts of the Romans to stay this destruction, became to the entity as something that riles and brings within self a sentiment, a tenderness, a truism, a fact that establishes much in the heart of this entity.
33. In the MATERIAL things, again may the entity in the political influence, a political life, arise to the places of power, places of position that warrant much of those things that came through those experiences in that sojourn as the Roman in a Jewish land.
34. Before that we find the entity was in the now called Egyptian land, among those natives that were of the priestly peoples. And when the Rebellions arose against the King, who was pitted against the natives, the entity joined with those of its own household, joined with those that made for those rebellions.
35. The entity then was in the name Tsh-U-Lan - or one among those that made for the activities that brought to the counsellors the necessity for the unifying again through the Priest that had been banished of an ideal of relationships of man to man, of man and his Maker - and that these must be concordant one with another.
36. In these the entity aided when the activities were brought back for their OWN preservation of the Egyptian, preservation of the thoughts of the peoples. And the entity became what would be termed in the present as the first policeman or as the lord mayor with authority of then Gizeh.
37. In the experience the entity gained and lost, and gained. And we will find in the present experience those influences arising wherein many with whom the entity was associated during that sojourn become a part of the experience. For the cycle of activity has renewed itself, and in those experiences - if there will be held not only to the idealistic but to ideals of a spiritual nature, the entity may again through its relationships to its fellow man become as not the policeman but even - if chosen - the
1220-1 Page 6
governor of his own state, even in authority, even in power; if there is held that ideal, that the Lord is in His holy temple - "There I may meet Him, there the promises may be made sure, there I may gain the strength, the power, the ability for dealing with my fellow man, in the manner He, my Lord, my God, would have me do."
38. Ready for questions.
39. (Q) Just what type of work am I best fitted for? (A) Politician!
40. (Q) What do you advise me regarding my present work? (A) Use these associations and these relations to gradually build to the preparations of self in the relationships for such an activity in its own surroundings.
41. (Q) Should I continue to consider the responsibilities in connection with the failure of the private bank in which my family was interested as personal, and just what should I do regarding this? (A) As there are those abilities in the dealings and in the relationships with others, be guided by that as thy CONSCIENCE directs thee. Not to load, as it were, upon thyself the burden; but rather as the place, the position, the feelings of responsibilities become rather those that make for the clearing self, clearing the name, in the way and manner that He would have thee do. This comes by oft communing with Him. Do not ASSUME the responsibilities to become a burden, but as thy position, as thy place is before thee, these will gradually become - through thy activity, through thy dealing with thy fellow man as a confidence that all is WELL with thy fellow man, thy conscience, thy family, thy relationships.
42. (Q) Any other suggestions or advice at this time? (A) Study to show thyself approved unto Him. Keep the faith in thyself, in thy Maker, in thy fellow man. Keep the vision of the Cross and its purpose in the lives of individuals, and let it be thy guide, thy direction in thy dealings with thy fellow man. For if this is lost sight of, as has been indicated, though ye may rise to power, to position, even to fame - if these are turned into that of self-aggrandizement, self-satisfaction, for a wrong or for a seeming wrong, then ye are the worse thyself indeed.
