Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ohio.

1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1224]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, there are changes in the general physical conditions of the body. Some are changes for the better, some are not so well. Some are the natural changes as may be expected. Others we find are the effects of disturbances that may be aided in producing or bringing about more satisfactory conditions, and a more normal or balanced activity and functioning of the organs.

4. We find, as we have indicated before, there is the greater inclination for the superficial circulation to suffer; owing to the toxic forces, and the lack of impulses being received in the nerve ganglia for an equalized or more normal activity.

5. Hence it may be termed a lack of vital forces or ionization of the general nerves and circulatory system.

6. This produces in the present, as we find, a character or form of anemia. Not that there is not sufficient blood supply, but owing to the toxic forces there is the inclination for an impoverishment of the circulation as related to the LYMPH.

7. Hence at times the body feels dull, achey, and there is not the mental response to activities as there has been, or as there is desired.

8. At other periods there are the inclinations for sluggishness as related to the activity of eliminations, and as to the heart's activity in its circulation between the heart and the liver. Hence the shortness of breath is a result of same.

9. These are the effects of those disturbances as we find.

10. Then, in assisting or aiding - in addition to the mental processes, the continuing to surround self with the thoughts and the consciousness of the divine influence within each entity - we would add these:

11. Twice each week we would re-energize the body by the supplying of stimulations to ganglia along the cerebrospinal system, especially as related to the eliminations by the system of the poisons. These manipulations or adjustments should be centered especially from the upper dorsal to the lumbar axis.

12. Also twice a week we would have the general hydrotherapy treatments including a mild cabinet Sweat to stimulate capillary circulation, followed by the general massage, - and these should be given at first, preferably, by a professional. Do not let the temperature in the first sweat rise too high, just sufficient to cause a good moisture. WATCH the pulse, even through this first treatment, see? Have these done twice a week, by a professional, for three weeks.

13. And during that three-week period we would also have at least two colonic irrigations; that there may be taken away the toxic forces from the colon, so that the activities of the liver, spleen and pancreas will not react upon the system and will not be imposed upon by this toxic circulation. After the three weeks these may be given farther apart - say once or twice a month; but have at least two colonic irrigations during the first three weeks, and let these be given by one who is thorough in same, for it will need to be gently done, especially the first.

14. After the first three weeks, then the cabinet sweats and massage and osteopathic treatments may also be made farther apart.

15. The irrigations, the sweats and the massage, you see, are the hydrotherapy treatments.

16. These as we find, combined with the attitudes, the conditions, should bring a great deal of aid and help; ELIMINATING those disturbances that gradually begin to be more and more taxing to the system.

17. Then, in the diet, keep those things that are blood and body-building; and we will find we will bring the better conditions for this body.

18. Ready for questions.

19. (Q) Can the arterial condition affecting my heart be improved or cured, and how? (A) As indicated, this is not an organic condition. It is the affectation between the liver AND the heart, as related to toxic forces primarily. The stimulations in the areas

1224-3 Page 3

indicated will reduce not only the pressures, but aid in correcting this circulation through the carotid artery. Not that the stimulation would be to the upper portion of the dorsal - that is, the 1st, 2nd and through the cervical area - save the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cervical for the circulation in the neck.

20. (Q) Can I regain the normal use of my left arm, and how? (A) This will be aided with the reducing of the toxic conditions and the stimulating of impulses from the 4th dorsal center, especially - which will aid the activity to a portion of the locomotory center to the arms. Hence this will be aided if there will be these conditions applied consistently, persistently, in the manners indicated.

21. (Q) Can the abnormal muscular condition of the third finger of my right hand be permanently cured, and how? (A) This as we find will continue to be of some disturbance, but will be greatly improved and relieved with the conditions carried out as indicated.

22. (Q) What can be done to improve my eye condition? (A) The general health improved will aid the eye condition.

23. (Q) How can my bladder condition be normalized? (A) This will be accomplished more by the toxic forces being removed, and by the food values being kept near to normal.

24. (Q) Is it important to reduce weight? How much and by what means? (A) It is more important that an equal BALANCE be kept. As we find, the weight may be reduced some WITHOUT disturbance; and as we find, the better manner would be through the refraining from breads or greases of any kind, of course, and by the taking of Grape Juice - preferably the juice from fresh grapes, this prepared at the time to be taken, three times each day; taking about an ounce and a half to two ounces (diluted with a little water) half an hour before each meal. If the juice from fresh grapes is found to be impractical, then take the fresh Welch's Grape Juice.

25. (Q) Will you outline a general diet, stating any specific things that should be included? (A) As we find, this may be outlined as a general diet. To be sure, this is not ALL that would be taken - but things of this nature or character: Mornings - either the dry cereal or citrus fruit juices, but DO NOT take BOTH at the same meal. PURE whole wheat toast or Ry-Krisp. Do not use butter with same. Coffee may be used if desired, but NOT with milk or cream in same! for this is hard upon the heart, as well as the digestion. If a little sugar is desired, it is very well, but no milk or cream in the coffee.

1224-3 Page 4

Noon meals - soups, as of vegetables; raw vegetables (fresh) of all characters - especially carrots, celery, lettuce - any of the green vegetables. At such a meal take also at least an ounce of pure fresh carrot juice. This also will aid, and prevent toxic forces being reformed when the organs have been stimulated to activity, and will aid also in reducing the blood pressures in the system. Evenings - a little of meats if so desired; preferably, however, ONLY fish, fowl or lamb. No fried foods ever. The meal principally should consist of vegetables, but eliminate any form of potatoes; though yams or the like may be occasionally used. These are given as an outline. To be sure, fruits at all times may be taken, but little or no nuts. Not a great quantity of sugars. Three times a week the Jerusalem artichoke should be a portion of the diet; once raw, once cooked, and then once raw again. Only cook same, though, in its own juices - as in Patapar Paper. Only ONE would be taken at the meal, you see - one meal of the day, three times a week; not a large one, but one about the size of a guinea egg. This also will aid in reducing the sugar, relieving the pressure on the bladder, and relieving the tendencies; for the insulin in the artichoke aids the general circulation.

26. (Q) May all the treatments be given at the hydrotherapy place, or should an osteopath give the adjustments and cerebrospinal stimulations? (A) Preferably the specific adjustments would be made by an osteopath, rather than relying upon just the massage at the hydrotherapy place - UNLESS the masseur is a graduate osteopath!

27. (Q) Should Dr. Esther Bebout in ... give the osteopathic treatments? (A) If she will give them in line with the suggestions here indicated, yes! If not, no!

28. (Q) Would it be well to begin the treatments immediately while here in New York? (A) Immediately, or the sooner you begin the sooner the improvements will be seen, of course. We would begin them here.

29. (Q) Would Reilly be good for the hydrotherapy treatments? (A) Reilly would be excellent!

1224-3 Page 5

30. (Q) Would Schoelles be well for the osteopathic treatments? (A) If you go to Reilly's in New York, take Dobbins! for you may do both in the same day!

31. (Q) Is walking out of doors hard on heart? (A) If it is done soon after meals, or under excitement, it is hard on the heart. But done slowly, as for recreation, and especially in pleasant companionship or company, it is helpful.

32. (Q) Is standing at my work injurious? (A) It is injurious so long as there are the toxic conditions existent.

33. (Q) Is it beneficial to rest lying down with head lower than the feet? For how long a period? (A) For this body it would NOT be helpful. We would not do such. To lie down is alright, but lie level when lying down.

34. (Q) If instructions are carefully followed, when can definite improvement be expected? (A) In three weeks, as indicated. Not that it would last, unless the treatments were adhered to occasionally over a longer period, to be sure, but definite improvements may be seen in the movements, in the feelings, and in the general conditions of the body within the three weeks. Then we would occasionally use the whole of the treatments as suggested.

35. (Q) Any other suggestions for the body? (A) These we would do - but keep the mental attitude that has been oft held.
