Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1267].
2. As we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body. These prevent the body from functioning the nearer normal. While these arise primarily from the effects as produced in the nervous system as related to the circulation to portions of the body, there is also the combination of poor eliminations; particularly affecting the body through those subluxations that have prevented and do prevent the normal circulation.
3. This as we find has the most to do with the organs of the sensory system, yet with the corrections of these and bringing a nearer normal condition we would find other disturbances aided also in the general conditions of the body.
4. These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1267] we are speaking of:
5. In the blood supply we find a disturbed circulation, poisons; and from the poisons some inflammation in the upper portions of the body especially; also a torpidity of the liver in its activity from the very character and the nature of the subluxations that exist in the lower cervical and upper dorsal area.
6. These then are the sources in the nervous system that cause or produce that condition which affects the supplying of the proper nutriment for the activity of the auditory and optic forces of the body.
7. While as we find both eyes are affected, that pressure from the left portion of the body causes the greater disturbance in the eye, affected by the pressure there.
8. Then as we would find, we would make for corrective measures in the upper dorsal and throughout the cervical area, stimulating all of the nerves and the muscular forces to the eyes; osteopathically - and preferably in the Dobbins' method, as he has had experience with those natures

as arise from these very same disturbances. These done twice or three times a week for three weeks, then a rest period of ten days or two weeks, and then again for a period of two weeks, rest period of a week or two weeks, and then again.
9. During the periods of rest use the Radio-Active Appliance as an equalizer to the circulation.
10. After each third treatment (and only at these periods), we would use the violet ray as a stimulation to the GENERAL circulation; and this we would use on the sides of the head, not using in the beginning the eye applicator but the regular bulb applicator, from the central dorsal center or from the 9th dorsal to the head itself. Then commence with the head and go the other way, upward first, downward the last. This from the sides of the head, the neck, through all the cerebrospinal system in those portions as indicated. Use this from three to five minutes, though in the beginning do not use too great a strength - about half the full strength.
11. We would also use an eyewash, such as Glyco-Thymoline, weakened, or the regular applications that are indicated for the removing of inflammatory conditions about the eye.
12. Once or twice a week use the scraped Irish potato when retiring. Scrape sufficient to fill the hollow of the socket of the eye, when the eyelid is closed. Place on same with a slight covering to hold in place. Keep on for at least ten minutes. Then when this is taken off cleanse the eye.
13. In the corrections it would be well, to be sure, to coordinate the locomotory system and set up eliminations more through the liver area from the lower portions of the ganglia in the upper dorsal area.
14. Do these and, as we find, we will bring for this body the nearer normal conditions.
15. There will be periods when there will be some irritation, some discouragements, but the use of the Radio-Active Appliance will quiet the body; not necessitating then any sedatives.
16. Keep eliminations by the use of colonics rather than laxatives. Do not use the waters colder than the temperature of the body. Well that every second or third there be used a saline and soda solution; that is, to each two-quarts of water put a heaping teaspoonful of salt and a level teaspoonful of soda, dissolved very thoroughly. Use a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline to a quart of water in the last of the irrigations. This will prevent any inflammation and will assist in the eliminations of the body.

17. Do that.
18. Ready for questions.
19. (Q) Is there anything in my daily routine of living that has a harmful effect upon my eyes? (A) If there are those applications, those suggestions that have been given, in toto followed, we would find that this would make for a greater change in the daily routine that would be most helpful. No specific conditions; it has been a general depletion arising from a subluxation in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, cutting off the circulation, that has caused this; and gradually setting up the inflammatory condition that has made for a dilation of the optic nerve and has SMOTHERED same - so to speak - from effecting the proper vision. It has also affected those organs of the sensory system as to taste, as to hearing, and at times as to feeling; that is, being subject or sensitive to certain emotions. Do these indicated and as we find better conditions will come to this body, [1267].
20. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Mrs. [2118] " " Ass'n file (4/28/36 GD's note: See letter [which was enclosed] with directions to Dr. Dobbins. See explanatory sheet [which was enclosed] regarding the Radio-Active Appliance and where obtained.)
