Time of Reading 3:20 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Chicago, Ill. (Entity; information which has been give her through these sources. Ques. concerning her welfare and betterment.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the entity, those relations with the mental and material experiences about the entity; and that information which has been given regarding the entity's experiences in the earth.
2. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) As I feel I have gotten into a rut, might I better myself by making a change? If so, where? (A) In considering an experience of such a nature or character, many things are to be taken into consideration; causes for the loss of interest. Or, as expressed by the entity, "getting into a rut" is losing interest in those conditions about the entity; produced by an influence either of an imaginary or material nature from within or without the experience. Thus those experiences come, as for the entity itself, in which there are those ideas or those attitudes of resentment held towards conditions, towards individuals, towards surroundings. Thus as we find, this for the entity would indicate that to change in the environments would be helpful to the entity in many respects. Consider those experiences that have been given, that have been a portion of the entity's experience throughout its sojourns in the earth, and the reaction that has been made respecting same. Then when changes are imminent or desirable, as to place - this should be rather as a choice. About much water, or as was indicated, where there would be activities as in line with the conditions that would give the opportunities for the entity's activities in those fields of service as
1272-2 Page 2
indicated would be for the better development. Then, such a place as Washington, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Miami, New Orleans or the like. Any of these as we find would then offer for the entity an opportunity for expression of that which is innate and may be manifested by the entity holding to ideals. Know that if there remains within SELF the same general attitudes, changes would not be helpful, but meeting the conditions in EVERY way and manner as is known in self, then the next step may be given thee.
4. (Q) If I am to continue in the business world, what occupation am I best fitted for? (A) In that as has been indicated; either the statistician or in the office or in gathering of data or of such natures, whether in railroad, telegraph or steamships or those things that have to do with transportation or commercial activities as connected or that deal with large groups. But as we find, if there are the applications then of self in these directions in new fields of activity there should come about those associations where the establishing of the home would make for the greater opportunities as well as the greater blessings to the entity and to those that the entity may apply self in the relationships to or with.
5. (Q) Should I bend my efforts for a wedded life? (A) Rather should this be as a natural consequence of associations, of activities in the preparing of self. For if self is physically, mentally fitted, and the general attitudes are in those directions, then the same may come about.
6. (Q) Does it appear that I will ever have the honor of being a mother? (A) That depends upon the choices, the attitudes; and as we find it should be.
7. (Q) Regarding the trunk I put in storage with the Nelson Bros. Storage Co., 6910 Cottage Grove Ave., Chicago, Ill: As the man to whom I entrusted it has been dead a year now and I can find no record of it, can you tell me if it is still intact and where it is? (A) This would require, of course, a different approach and attitude. As has been given the entity, unless there may be found a record of same among the records of the storage company, or the effects of Nelson, there is no way of securing or determining the place of same in the present.
1272-2 Page 3
The records of the storage company, the effects of Nelson then, SHOULD be examined very much in detail. And from these, as we find from the EFFECTS of Nelson, these MAY BE determined. For as we find it was, as has been indicated, a PERSONAL activity in respect to same.
8. (Q) Regarding my friend Ernest, last seen in Detroit, Mich., is there a chance of his coming back to see us, or shall we make an effort to contact him? (A) As we find, these should be left as in the present status. If there is the desire on the part of Ernest, well and good. To insist or be insistent, or to make for overtures, would not - under the circumstances that have existed and have brought about those changes or indifferences - make for circumstances or conditions that would be for the betterment of ANY concerned. Leave as is. Then, if there is the choice (you will hear, though, in December) to make for associations or connections, well and good.
9. (Q) Any further advice that would be helpful to me at this time? (A) Look within self and know all the conditions, all circumstances that have to do with the mental or the spiritual development must rise from within self. When there is the expression of desire motivated by CONSTRUCTIVE forces from within and not of a selfish nature, they set to work for those influences that will bring about CONSTRUCTIVE experiences in the activities of the self and those about the entity. Keep faith in self, in God, in man.
