Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1275].

2. Now, as we find, while conditions HAVE been very serious and are still indications of disturbing conditions of an acute nature, these arise from accumulations. And taken in time the CAUSES may be eliminated. But to apply or use only palliatives will leave the disturbing conditions with the possibilities of recurrent attacks, until the plexus between the heart and the liver become so overcharged or so expanded as to produce engorging or a flooding of the lungs and heart.

3. These then are conditions as we find them with this body, [1275] we are speaking of:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find the indications of hindrances in a nominal elimination, through poisons and toxic forces that are present in the circulatory system and the effects that have been produced in portions of the alimentary canal, the disturbance in the liver, the poor eliminations through alimentary canal, the general nervous disturbance, and now a toxic condition.

5. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, here as we find are the basic causes of the disturbance, as combined with that which has been produced in the circulatory system.

6. In the 6th, 7th and 8th dorsal there are lesions that gradually slowed the circulation through the liver and the whole of the hepatic circulation, thus making for toxic conditions in the system. These gradually have filled up until we have an engorgement in the colon, in the transverse and at the turn of the descending colon, that has made pressures upon the spleen, the capsule about the heart and a portion of the stomach even itself; and this heaviness in the circulation increased the ganglia between the heart and liver circulation until we had a disturbance in the activity of same.

7. Hence as we find in bringing the helpful conditions for

the body, or to eliminate the causes of the disturbances with this body, these must all be taken into consideration. But with the proper mental attitude, with the activities physically to remove causes, there should be little or no anxiety as to a filing, a flooding of either heart or lungs with those disturbances in same.

8. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES OF THE BODY, with a slowed circulation, naturally there has been an increase in disturbances to the circulatory forces; as the headaches at times, the very slow, dull aching; burning in the eyes, dryness of the throat at various times; a fullness in the chest and especially just above the cardiac portion of the stomach itself; a slowing of the activity of the liver and the eliminations; discolorations shown in the activity of the kidneys; burnings through the bladder at times when there have been the eliminations through same; and the natural conditions as in the digestive forces as arise from toxic forces and poor elimiations.

9. AS WE WOULD FIND THEN:

10. First we would osteopathically remove those lesions in the dorsal area, coordinating the cervical and the lumbar plexus with same each time the manipulative forces are given.

11. Take a course of irrigations - colonics. These should be done PROPERLY, but after the first three or four the body may or should be able to do these himself.

12. To remove this dilation in the colon, remove those pressures in the dorsal area upon the circulation and the nervous system.

13. Keep a normal balance in the eliminations and the diet.

14. The diet should be not of meats so much; though fowl or lamb may be taken in moderation, but no red meats at any time, no white bread. The vegetables should be more of those as above the ground than those below.

15. Use the Radio-Active Appliance to create a normal balance between the extremities of the body, and we would find we may remove the causes and bring about near a normal condition for this body, [1275].

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) Any special attention for gums and teeth? (A) The use of an antiseptic that carries the natures that will remove poisons is very good. As we find, as a preventative and as a helpfulness in eliminations, the Ipsab is preferable; for it carries the properties in same that are destructive to the pyorrhea or Riggs' disturbances in the gums. This should be massaged with the finger or tuft of cotton. This is most helpful.

18. (Q) What should be done as an emergency treatment if he has another heart attack? (A) A hypodermic or the use of such as to flow the blood FROM the heart, given - to be sure - under a physician. But if these are done NOW, as we have indicated, there should be no recurrence. Remove the causes and we will remove the trouble; for there is not as yet a set condition in the plexus between the heart and liver, through which this flooding comes. The use of strychnine OR those that make for the easing of these regularly only tends to engorge the heart and makes the condition become constitutional. No organic heart trouble; functional, and mostly from nerve conditions, and their reactions as has been indicated are seen in this body in the present.

19. (Q) Would it be advisable for the body to stay away from work and rest up? If so, how long? (A) A week or ten days should be sufficient, provided the applications of the treatments - all of them - are given. The manipulations should be every other day for a week or ten days. The colonics should be that the eliminations through the alimentary canal are somewhat above normal but do not IRRITATE or use the water too hot; but be sure antiseptics are used afterwards - either Glyco-Thymoline or Lavoris, or the Agar may be used if preferable.

20. (Q) How often should the Radio-Active be used, and for how long a period at a time? (A) This should be used each day, for thirty minutes to an hour each evening, or a thirty minute period morning and evening if the body rests. This makes for quieting, easing the body, and will make for the MENTAL reactions capable of being much more rationally in accord with the activities of the body.

21. (Q) Where should the attachments be? (A) As has been indicated, opposite extremities, rotating about the body.

22. (Q) How long should it take to eliminate this condition, following this treatment? (A) In three to six weeks the body should be rid of the causes. To be sure the weakness will exist and it's necessary to watch the eliminations and the blood pressure throughout these periods; but taking occasionally after this

period an adjustment should keep the normalcy for the body.

23. (Q) Should I expect any further compensation for loss of my fingers in 1919, in the Navy Yard? (A) There should be, and if the applications are made through the channels that are as a portion of the activity, there should.

24. (Q) Who would you suggest as the best osteopath for this case? (A) Any in accord with that which has been indicated. Ober would be preferable, for then the colonics and the adjustments may be made at the one period. Let there be a REST period between the two treatments, however.

25. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Do this for this body and we will remove the causes and find near normalcy for the body.
