1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1281].

2. As we find, while conditions have advanced somewhat in their effect upon the general physical system, there may be - with consistency, and because of a little improvement not letting up - a great deal of help brought to the physical forces of this body.

3. These as we find in their basic conditions have to do with the glandular system. Yet the effects that have been produced are to the functioning of the organs as well as the structural and the muscular system. Necessarily alterations or complications arise through the blood supply or the circulatory system from this combination of disturbances.

4. Then these are the conditions as we find them with this body:

5. The blood supply indicates that first there were those disturbances in the circulation, from the lax activity in glandular forces. And the stoppage of certain activities in the system that become as the natural forces or means became as the basis upon which through this disturbed circulation other glandular forces became distorted. Hence we find an increase of those conditions in the muscular and tendon forces that produce the neuritic and arthritic tendencies towards portions of the muscular forces, and the inflammatory conditions that occur at times in even the NERVES through a portion of these themselves.

6. In the nerve forces these pressures, of course, at times cause a great deal of distress. However, these are altered somewhat by atmospheric pressures, changes of temperament or temperatures, and at other times from the food values in the system. For the excesses of those produce the tendencies for the accumulations as it were; the lack of secretion on the part of some, oversecretion on the part of others.

7. As we would find then in the beginnings to make for that as would be helpful for this body:

8. First we would have about a week apart a twenty to thirty

minute immersion of the body (of course, not the head) in almost a saturated solution of Epsom Salts, as hot as the body can stand same, to lie in same for some little time. To thirty to forty gallons of water put twenty to twenty-five pounds of the Epsom Salts, see?

9. After this there should be a thorough rubdown with very coarse towels, that we may stimulate the circulation. Because this produces as it were greater distresses for the moment, do not become alarmed; for these will gradually pass away.

10. But we would find that a helpful force would be to have a massage along the cerebrospinal system and over the extremities - the arms and the lower limbs - with a combination of oils, prepared in this manner:

11. To 3 ounces of Pure Olive Oil as the base, add - in the order named: Coal Oil or Kerosene Oil..............1 ounce, Oil of Wintergreen..................1/2 ounce, Oil of Cedar Wood...................1/2 ounce, Oil of Sassafras....................1/4 ounce, Oil of Pine Needles...................1 ounce. Shake this well before the massage is made, and massage all the body will take, see?

12. Keep the body warm.

13. And begin immediately after this with small quantities of Atomidine; two minims in half a glass of water before the morning meal, two minims before retiring. The next day three minims before the morning meal and three in the evening. And so on, adding one minim each day, until five minims are being taken morning and evening. Then leave off until the period for the bath with the Epsom Salts again, which would be five days after the first, see?

14. Then after this is taken, begin again with the Atomidine; this time only one minim each day for the first two days, two minims each day for the next two days, three minims for the next two days, and the like - until five minims are being taken.

15. Then leave off for a week, see?

16. Then begin again. At the end of the second week, take another - that is the second week that we have left off the Atomidine, see? this means three weeks from the last of the baths as given, see? then begin and give again.

17. And after each of the baths give the rubs.

18. Then begin with the manipulations that will make for the setting up of drainages (osteopathically given), to the

lumbar, the central dorsal system - 9th dorsal and the upper dorsal, and throughout the cervical. But work upward rather than downward in making the manipulations and adjustments.

19. After this has been taken for ten days to two weeks, then we would give further instructions.

20. These should be taken every other day when they are begun, see?

21. (Q) Any advice regarding the diet? (A) The diets have been set for the body. Keep away from those things that produce too much of potassium in the system, or potash or calcium in the system, and as we will find we will first set up drainages through the respiratory system, bringing the activity of the body to the muscular forces and to the circulation. We will strain or drain as it were the glandular forces with the use of the Atomidine. With the rubs we will stimulate the circulation. And this will bring a great deal of help and comfort for this body. Do that. Do not begin the manipulations until after at least the third of the baths. For the rubs and the activities should set the body in order so that the manipulations would become effective, when they would be of little effect before same.
