Time of Reading ... Road, 11:15 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1284].

2. As we find, there are disturbing conditions in the better physical functioning of the body. Some arise from natural causes, others are the effect of subjective forces activating through the mental and the physical reactions of the body.

3. These as we find may be materially aided if there are the proper precautions and the proper attitudes taken by the body in its mental and physical relationships to the conditions of every nature that surround the body.

4. Then these are conditions-physical as we find them with this body, Mrs. [1284] we are speaking of:

5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find there are the effects of the disturbance in the natural eliminations of the body, that tax the system to such an extent as to cause nervous rigors, as to produce nausea, dizziness and the like. These are natural effects from changes that arise from that period in the experience of each body, yet there needs to be those applications of such natures that these may be adjusted to those changes that are arising.

6. This poison as from the effect of toxic forces, as produced by the taxations, affects the central nervous system, the activity of the heart, the digestive forces, the circulatory forces as related to the upper and the lower portions as it were of the body. And we will find that portions of the body become very much altered or changed in the temperature in the system.

7. IN THE NERVOUS FORCES, here, as has been indicated, we find much of the cause, much of the effect of present disturbances, through subjugations of the emotions of the body, through the taxations of the body-physical. And with those reactions that arise from this period of physical disturbance in the balance being created, there is produced

1284-1 Page 2

the greater reaction through the whole of the system. This is naturally from the very basic condition centered in the lower lumbar and in the upper cardiac or sympathetic cardiac, or secondary cardiac plexus. Hence it becomes contributory and a part of the general physical disturbances.

8. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, as related to the general conditions, as indicated, many of these become upset. Many of these become so overtaxed as to refuse to perform their proper function. Hence disturbances through the whole of the hepatic circulation, or the liver, the kidneys, the digestive forces of the body - even the activity of the circulation as related to the heart's activity - all become portions of the disturbances. But as we find as indicated these are rather the effects and the results of other disturbances as given, than being organically in the present deranged; though, to be sure, these may become so overtaxed - unless there are the consistent and persistent activities for the keeping and maintaining and creating of the more normal coordinations throughout the system - as to produce a specific condition, or such as to hinder the body in such ways and manners as to incapacitate it more prominently by either breaking of cellular forces through an overtaxed nerve or blood supply or both. Thus the locomotory centers would be hindered in such a way as to incapacitate same.

9. THEN, IN MEETING THE CONDITIONS AS WE WOULD FIND, FROM FIRST THE PHYSICAL ATTITUDE, THE PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE BODY:

10. We would give internally properties that will make for or produce in the functioning of the system a better coordination, and not of the nature of such sedatives - as have been taken in part - to produce a greater strain and as to cause greater taxations upon an already overtoxic force or influence in the system.

11. Prepare then as this, in the manner as indicated:

12. To 2 ounces of Distilled Water add 1 ounce of Strained Honey. Let this come to a boil, and skim off the refuse that arises. Use this with 1/2 ounce Pure Grain Alcohol as a carrier, and to same add - in the order named: Tincture of Valerian................1/2 ounce, Elixir of Calisaya..................1/2 ounce, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium.....20 minims, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium....40 minims, Tincture of Capsici...................3 minims.

1284-1 Page 3

Shake the solution well, and on days or periods when there is the least tendency for dizziness, nausea or the like, take every two hours a teaspoonful. This may be taken for two or three days, then left off for two or three days.

13. Each evening massage the lower limbs, from the hips downward, after taking a little more than tepid bath. For such massaging use equal portions of Olive Oil and Tincture of Myrrh; heating the Oil to add the Myrrh. Only a small portion massaged into the lower portion of the spine and through or around the limbs, and especially the feet.

14. Have adjustments OSTEOPATHICALLY for the lumbar and the upper dorsal and cervical area, as indicated.

15. Keep the body quiet, in the open.

16. And then as to the mental attitude of the body: Know within self - as administrations are being made, physically, for recuperative forces - that these must be within themselves not as curatives but as supplying to the body the necessary influences and forces that the body-physical may coordinate, cooperate in creating a normal balance.

17. Thus within the mental self create, by the correct attitudes - that is, CONSTRUCTIVE forces; knowing that what is within self, in the experiences of self, used as a constructive force may become as helpful influences in the experience to know the true relationship of self with Creative Forces in its own experience.

18. Keeping this attitude by not merely that of sentiment, not merely tenets, but as the applying of self in its relationships to circumstances or conditions, let it ever be - by word of mouth, by act, by deeds of every nature - as ye would that others would do to YOU, do ye even so to them. For as ye mete to others in thine experience, so must, so will it be meted to you.

19. These will make for, in the physical, in the mental, such conditions as will bring an OPPORTUNITY in THIS experience of making the experience more worth while and self becoming more and more a channel through which the glory of the Creative Forces and Influences may be magnified in thy life, in thy experience.

20. Ready for questions.

21. The dosage of those properties to be taken should be a teaspoonful.

22. The periods of the rub should be every evening, or every other evening.

23. The adjustments osteopathically would be once a week, which should be sufficient. However, if there occurs the weak spells again, then these may be used or applied twice or three times each week for one or two weeks.

24. (Q) How often should the medicinal properties be taken? (A) As indicated, in periods when there is taxation take same every two hours, or the like; though it may be taken in this manner for two days, three days, rest for a day or take two or three times a day. These will create these activities for the body: The carrier will make for a better assimilation. The Valerian is a nerve tonic. The Calisaya will act as a blood purifier. The other properties are active upon the glandular system and as a mild sedative to the whole.

25. (Q) What diet? (A) Those foods that are of an alkalin and of a laxative nature. Hence green vegetables and fruits rather than too much of white breads or starches, but these should be taken rather as food values and not as just for BODILY help.

26. (Q) How may her husband assist her to recuperate and build up her health? (A) Be patient, be kind, be gentle in assisting in the administration of those influences in the experience that may make for a whole cooperative force in first the physical body. And in the mental attitude be ever of the optimistic turn, even under the greater stress. For, know, the Lord is in His holy temple and will meet thee there. And thy body, thy mind, IS that temple. As a man thinketh in his heart, so IS he. Thus walk with Him, speak with Him and draw nigh unto Him; and He, thy Lord, will do THEE good.

27. (Q) How can he help her mentally and physically to overcome the condition of her health, for her best development? (A) As has just been indicated. First patience with self, patience with those circumstances and conditions, and aiding in the applying of those material and mental suggestions as indicated.

28. (Q) Is her association with the stationery business helpful to her health? (A) Helpful if the physical body is fit. Be careful that there is not too great a taxation of self in the anxieties of the moment. OFT has it been given, and this as may be applied in self - STAND STILL IF YOU WOULD SEE THE GLORY OF THE LORD IN THINE OWN EXPERIENCE! Be a little patient with self, with circumstance, with conditions. Wait ye on Him, and He will draw nigh unto thee.

29. (Q) Should she go to Cavalier Hotel, Va. Beach, for a visit? If so, when would be best? and how long should she stay for recuperation? (A) As we find the application of those things suggested would be the more helpful in its own surroundings. And when a little improved, in two to three weeks, consider that a

1284-1 Page 5

rest in such surroundings or environments would be the much more helpful and beneficial to the body. For not to remove the causes and then to use only the environs for rest and recuperation would only make for the return of disturbance when activities are resumed. Make or produce coordinations and THEN the combination would be more helpful.

30. (Q) What is best routine for her? (A) This as has been indicated may be set into routine by the necessity and requirements upon the part of circumstances or conditions, but keeping those attitudes as the PURPOSEFUL experience of self the routine would set itself.

31. (Q) Please advise them both how they can best develop their lives together. (A) By the application of that which may be done today, and as that is done in accord with thine UNDERSTANDING of divine law, then the next step is given thee. Do not be overanxious of the moment but make for rather the consideration of all conditions, all circumstance. For He hath promised that he who hath been faithful over the few may be made the lord over the many.
