Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1296].

2. As we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body, and unless there are measures taken these must gradually grow a great deal worse.

3. For the effects of the disturbances are taking hold upon the structural, and muscular forces, the tendons, especially to extremities, and are felt throughout the body at times.

4. These then are conditions as we find them with this body, [1296] we are speaking of:

5. THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this indicates an unbalanced circulation, and an unbalanced condition in the manner in which activities of organs in their functioning as related to the muscular forces and the glandular system have increased those amounts of potashes.

6. And these, through the toxic forces left in the system, are turning to tenderness, stiffness, soreness and those activities that make for such distresses at times - and in advanced stages - as to draw upon the extremities, the fingers, the hands, arms, the feet; or an arthritic condition that needs attention in the present.

7. As we find, drugs alone would not in these conditions reach or eliminate the causes or the effects that are being produced, either in the blood stream or upon the extremities or the tendons and muscular forces of the body.

8. The natural effect upon the nervous system is to cause a great deal of pain at times when the body moves about, or the effect of that sometimes termed rheumatic or arthritic or neuritic reaction. For these have been at various times (the effects) termed all of these.

9. These as just indicated, are the effects of or upon the NERVOUS SYSTEM.

10. IN THE ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, as we find, there has been in times back a deficiency in the glandular reaction, especially from the thyroids, and the assimilating

1296-1 Page 2

system; so that excesses and accumulations, and very poor eliminations, have gradually brought into the active forces of the organs themselves in many cases the acute conditions - as at times there have been hindrances by the superacidity in the mucous membranes of throat and head. At others there has been the effect of a quickening of the pulsations, and pains through portions of the chest. At others, disturbances through the circulation as related to the digestive system, with a great deal of disturbance in the liver and the gall duct and the coordination of the activities of the spleen and pancreas with the rest of the system.

11. But these are the attempts of the bodily functions to adjust themselves to the conditions, or to meet them by their activity or excesses in same.

12. In the abdominal areas and through the eliminations of the organs of the pelvis, these conditions have existed - as we find - more specifically since there have been those alterations in the eliminating system through the activities of the organs of the pelvis.

13. This is produced by cold and congestion and the conditions as arose with these by the lack of the proper precautions in relation to these, that aided the activities or lack of activities to or through the glandular forces.

14. Hence these drosses and these excesses, and this change as came about, have contributed and do contribute to the conditions in the bodily disturbance in the present.

15. IN MEETING THEN THE NEEDS OF THESE, AS WE WOULD FIND THEM:

16. First, discontinue the use of any sedatives or narcotics. Discontinue any of those injections - if the whole of these suggestions as we would give would be carried out. For as we find these WILL assist in the system gaining a much nearer normal balance. And if the body will be PERSISTENT when helpfulness comes, and continue to use the applications until the causes AND the effects are both eliminated, we will find the body much nearer to normal conditions and normal reactions.

17. But because the body does improve, do not become indiscrete, either in the activities in leaving off of those things that are necessary or in being indiscrete in the diet.

18. For the diet must necessarily form a part of those helpful forces of this body.

19. Begin first with taking internally the atomic iodine - that is, Atomidine. Begin with one minim in half a glass of water each morning before any meal is taken. Take this for

1296-1 Page 3

three days, one minim. Then take three minims for three days, at the same time and in the same way and manner. Then rest a day.

20. And then take a very hot and a very heavy bath in almost a saturated solution of Epsom Salts. This the body should remain in, and keep heated by the addition of water in a bath tub, for at least thirty minutes or longer. After same, of course, rest for several hours.

21. But immediately after such a bath, have a thorough rubdown with very coarse towels, especially along the cerebrospinal system; more specifically in the brachial area or from just above the shoulders to the middle of the spine, and just above the waistline and across the sacral and the lumbar area. Then following same, have a rubdown with oils that would be combined in this manner:

22. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil as the base, add - in the order named: Oil of Cedar Wood..................1 ounce, Oil of Pine Needles................1 ounce, Oil of Wintergreen...............1/2 ounce, Oil of Sassafras Root............1/4 ounce, Compound Tincture of Benzoin.......1 ounce. These to be sure will separate, but when they are to be used - each time after the Epsom Salts Bath - shake well together and pour a small quantity into an open container. Massage in the spine, the whole length of the spine, across and around the diaphragm, across and around the groin, down the limbs; first the arms from the shoulders to the fingertips, from the points of the hips along the limbs and clear to the toes themselves - all the body will absorb.

23. After the Epsom Salts Bath, each day for a day or two, take the high enemas with salt and soda in same. The water should be the temperature of the body, not heavier than same.

24. Rest a period after this of two to three days. Then begin with the small quantity of the Atomidine and repeat all of this.

25. We would also, as has been indicated, be mindful of the diet; that is, do not take these foods:

26. No cereals AND citrus fruit juices at the same meal. No milk or cream in coffee or tea. Do not eat potatoes, spaghetti or macaroni or cheeses at the same meal when meats are taken. No white breads at any time. Let most of the meats in the diet then consist of fish, fowl or lamb. No fried foods. Let at least one meal every other day consist

1296-1 Page 4

of only raw, fresh vegetables. Let the cooked vegetables be more of the leafy than pod, more of pod than tuberous.

27. And we will find, if these are adhered to and carried on, in at least two to three months we will find near to a normal return of the activities of this body.

28. Ready for questions.

29. (Q) What will relieve the hard breathing? (A) The massages and the diet. This is more a pressure from engorgements in the colon than from other than the reflex condition in the system as indicated from disturbances in the digestive area from pressures.

30. (Q) What should be the proportion of Epsom Salts in the bath? (A) To twenty-five gallons of water, or forty gallons of water, put from ten to fifteen pounds of Epsom Salts. Thoroughly dissolve same, and have the water as hot as the body can stand same. Preferable that the body lie in same, and then the hot water gradually added.

31. (Q) How often should these baths be taken? (A) As has just been indicated, they would be taken in rotation. Take the Atomidine, take the Baths after the two courses of Atomidine, and the Rubs after each Bath - the diets at ALL times.
