At the home of Time of Reading Mrs. [...], 3:10 to 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1310].
2. Now, as we find, while the conditions have been and are rather alarming and disturbing, because of the incoordination in the mental forces of the body, yet as we find, these may be materially aided.
3. For while there is a weakening of the reflex actions from the the central nervous system to the brain forces, and the reflexes along the sympathetic or vegetative nerve system, these as we find are of a physical nature that may - with precautions, with persistency, with consistency - be made to respond to influences that will bring about a much nearer normal reaction; and thus with the body-physical at least the ability to have a different outlook upon surrounding conditions as well as in the care of its own self.
4. For these are the reactions that are the more disturbing - the lack of the ability to care for even the needs of protection of self's physical as well as self's own reactions for a sympathetic or any CONSISTENT sympathetic reaction in the body.
5. These have been, as we find, brought about by nerve strain, anxiety, and a weakened constitution; especially in affectations through the glandular system and that which produces through same the replenishing of tissue for activity in the nerve force which carries the impulses to and from brain's reaction.
6. Then these as we find may be those added as would assist. And with these reactions the necessary changes as arise may be given, as the changes should be noted within thirty to sixty days - of a definite change.
7. But the first will be rather that of anxiety, and an activity that has not been manifested now for some periods - which will require then the closer care and attention.
8. THEN the changes as may be made may make for the more

perfect coordination.
9. For the first will come - if these are applied - in the nature of intermittent reactions, or periods when the body would be more active mentally, physically, but not nominal or normal - and then periods when it would revert to greater melancholia. But reactions that will occur then may be towards nominalcy, as the suggestions and the applications would be then made.
10. First, then, we would have prepared the low electrical applications carrying the Gold Solution in vibratory form for the body. The proportions would be two grains Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water, and use about six ounces in the Solution. When the attachments are not made to the body, take the connections from the Solution; and attach about twenty minutes before they are to be applied to the body. Keep all the connections very clean, as well as in perfect contact. The attachments to the body would be made in this manner:
11. The smaller plate would be attached first, to the 4th lumbar center; while the larger plate - as passes through the Gold Solution - would be attached last, to the lacteal and umbilicus center, or a hand's breadth from the central portion of body toward the right side.
12. The application should be made in the beginning for about twenty minutes each day, preferably just before the body is is prepared for rest of an evening.
13. After the Appliance has been used for three to five days in the manner indicated, begin then with properties to be taken internally, prepared in this manner:
14. Make two solutions. One would be one grain of Chloride of Gold to one ounce of Distilled Water. The other would be ten grains of Bromide of Soda to one ounce of Distilled Water.
15. The dose - when the body is ready to retire - would be, in half a glass of water:
16. The first day: One minim of the Gold Solution, two minims of the Soda Solution.
17. The next day: Two minims of the Gold Solution, four minims of the Soda Solution.
18. The next day: Three minims of the Gold Solution, six minims of the Soda Solution.
19. Skip a day, and then begin again with the one minim of the Gold with the two minims of the Soda. This to be repeated, of course, to the three minims, and the skipping of a day, and then the beginning again.
20. This would be kept throughout the periods of the first thirty-two to thirty-eight days of treatments.

21. And then we would give further instructions.
22. It would be found that when these are being given there will be a tendency for the appetite to change. But what the body desires or ever speaks of desiring, give. But keep as near to an even balance in the acids and alkalines as possible for the body.
23. It also would be found well, and for the improvement of the body, to each evening - when ready or prepared for retiring - to give a gentle massage; not a treatment but a gentle massage along the whole of the spine. This will be quieting and produce better rest.
24. As to the other activities, do these as has been indicated for the period outlined; and then we would give further instructions.
25. Ready for questions.
26. (Q) Is there anything that can be done towards her mental attitude in carrying out the treatments? (A) As these are gone about properly, we will find there will be little or no great trouble in inducing the body to do these; for with the first and second application there will be those periods of suggestion when the massage is given for the necessary quiet, by being positive but not by forcing issues for the body.
27. (Q) Is there anything they can do to get her to cooperate? (A) This is just as has been indicated. As these are begun there will be found that the responses of these in the system will make for those conditions as indicated - a better response.
28. (Q) Is she conscious or in a coma when she is lying on the bed in the daytime? (A) Semi-conscious. As has been indicated, there is incoordination; lack of the coordinating between the impulses as flow from the normal activity of the nerve system in the white and gray matter of the nerves' reaction. And the vibrations that have been indicated are to increase this activity through the SOURCE of supply of this matter for the physical reactions. And we will find, as indicated, after these are taken for a time, there will be less of a tendency for the non-activity - but the making, as it were, of a bit nervous; and this will require the closer care and watching - but this will gradually bring about better and closer coordination and reactions.
29. (Q) Is there any danger of her doing herself any bodily harm, or doing any harm to other members of our family?
1310-1 Page 4
(A) Not in the present, in the least. As these changes come about, while the appearances might be for bodily harm - as in early stages - for these are a part of the reactions, but we will find that they will be farther and farther away from the reactions. To walk away or to take undue precautions will be the greater tendencies, as the first changes come about. Hence the closer watching. And, different from the past reaction, there will be the gradual tendency to talk or to mumble to self more and more. This requires, too, that there be answers - or closer watch over the body.
30. (Q) Does she suffer any pain? (A) Very rarely any acute pain.
31. (Q) Any special suggestions to be used for this body? (A) These as we find will come more with the changes as are brought about. The suggestions as we find should be given when the massages are being given, and should never express ANYTHING other than CONSTRUCTIVE and quieting and peaceful reactions! But these should be a nominal result and not a SET rote for the body. But quiet, loving, peaceful, gentle KINDNESS finds its reaction in any and ever form.
32. (Q) Is our home the place for her to be? (A) As we find this is much preferable, especially as there would be begun the applications of those things as we find that may be the more helpful for the body. For as these changes come about, the more of the helpfulness may be had and the more ability of those to quiet the body, the better will be the effect - and NEVER by force!
33. (Q) Is she conscious of feeling heat and cold, as she never puts covers on her in extreme weather? (A) She is not conscious to these, for these are a part of that non-reaction; though the body may catch cold by exposure, but not as easily as a normal person would.
34. (Q) Why has she a mania for bed in the daytime? (A) As she is susceptible to radial activity of things, light produces the desire to be in shadow. Hence, of course, she takes refuge in that as is known - or has been known to the body by that activity of "to the bed." Hence the manner in which these vibrations may be carried to the system for the better response is through the low electrical forces as indicated. Do as we have outlined, and in thirty to thirty-eight days we would give further instructions.
35. (Q) May the body expect a complete cure: If so, how
1310-1 Page 5
long will it be? (A) This depends, naturally, upon the reactions and the manner in which the applications may be made - as to the responses to and by the body. These, of course, are always questions - where body-building has to be accomplished. But if there is the change seen, then the more hopefulness being held, the greater the change may be.
36. (Q) Is her condition hereditary? (A) Hasn't it just been given that it's physical! Physical is NOT hereditary!
37. (Q) Any further suggestions? (A) As given, do these in the present. As changes come, changes for application may be given.
