1. EC: We have the body here, [1315].

2. Now, we find there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body. These are rather of the acute nature. In many ways the physical functionings are near normal. The acute condition arises from infectious forces in the system, which produce infection and irritation in portions of the system. These have reached these proportions where inflammation causes pain, especially as it attacks the muco-membrane in such delicate tissue as in eye, such as to cause excruciating pains at times, causing an overflow in the lachrymal ducts, and inflammation in the corner portion of same.

3. As we would find, we would use a poultice made from the OLD Irish potato - scraped and kept on for an hour to an hour and a half. Then bathe with a solution of boracic acid, the regular strength for cleansing and clarifying such membranes, which will cleanse all inflammation and remove that which causes irritation. After a rest period of two to three hours we would make another poultice of the potato and use again.

4. Also we would begin with equal parts of Salts, Soda, Cream of Tartar, using as a dose a level teaspoonful of same. This should be taken each morning for at least five days. Then discontinue for three days, and take another course of the same.

5. Following the last course, begin with the preparation called Castoria - take in very small quantities, but often - fifteen to twenty drops taken every fifteen minutes until same has acted THOROUGHLY upon the system.

6. We would also be mindful of the diet, that it is rather in THIS line for the present - or for those periods necessary for cleansing the system.

7. Mornings - an alternated citrus fruit diet, with rice cakes or dry toast, with milk, coffee or a cereal drink -

Ovaltine, or the like.

8. Noons - a green vegetable salad that consists of tomatoes, celery, lettuce, spinach, water cress, or the like, with a dressing either of the oil or mayonnaise; and some soups, with croutons or toast (dry), or Graham bread with same.

9. Evenings - green vegetables that are well cooked, with a great deal of gluten and those that make for blood and nerve building and replenishing for the system - as liver, fish, or any sea foods that are prepared without milk. Any that makes for an easy digestion.

10. We will find these should relieve these conditions and make for a general balancing in the system.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) Should the scraped raw potato be applied directly to the eye? (A) With the eye closed, directly. If there is excruciating pain in the first application, then a small piece of gauze may be used to prevent too much weight on same. Well that not too strong a light be for the eyes during the first day or two.

13. (Q) Should the potato be left on overnight? (A) As given, only an hour to an hour and a half.

14. (Q) What produced the infectious forces in the system? (A) As given, these were from outside influences - with a system tending towards poor eliminations in that particular portion of the body. In itself, a grain or an atom of dust that carried infectious forces of an inflammatory nature, that worked - with irritation and rubbing - to produce infection first in a portion of the lachrymal duct. This, by distribution though the tear gland and the close proximity of the eyeball irritation, produced this inflammation. Do these, as we have outlined, and we will find the conditions will be corrected.

15. (Q) How is my general condition progressing? (A) As given, very good.
