Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

2. As we find, those precautions have not been taken that have been given heretofore for the body; and there are the inclinations for the system to take on more and more of those influences that produce - through the sources of disturbance - that condition of which the body has been warned.

3. Now, we find it would be necessary to take even greater precautions; else we may find some very disturbing conditions to be reckoned with - if the arthritic reaction should become such as to inflame portions of the extremities or the joints or portions of the body.

4. These then are the conditions as we find them in the present with this body, [1315] we are speaking of:

5. The blood supply indicates that there are those disturbances which have been indicated in portions of the structural system, preventing the proper reaction in the creating of that plasm within the blood stream to make for the proper coagulation and the proper distribution of energies that are assimilated by the system.

6. Thus there is the inclination and the tendency for the creating of those forces wherein the activity of portions of the body becomes excessive or lacking in creating or taking from the system (that is, the assimilated forces) those properties that produce a form of structural force even in the muscular and sinew forces of the body force itself.

7. These become then rather as sediments in the system, producing those conditions wherein - after any undue activity, or a little upsetting of the digestive system, or any from the lack of proper eliminations through the system, or excesses from any form or manner - we find the tendencies for the fingers, the hands, lower portion of the extremities or through the system itself, to have acute conditions arising. Also there becomes a languidness, and the tendency for those activities that become disturbing to the body.

8. As we would find then, in the present, in making those applications that would be for the better for this body:

9. Not oftener, but at least once a week for three to four weeks, we would have the manipulations Osteopathically. The other applications which we will give may be taken preferably in the home.

10. But on the same days, or evenings of the same days the Osteopathic treatments are given, we would have a Fume Bath; preferably with the Berg [William M. Berg, Ph.T.] Cabinet, see? In the fumes would be a teaspoonful of Tincture of Iodine to half a pint of the water. Stay in the Fume Bath until the water has boiled out, in which the solution or Tincture of Iodine is put - but in the container for such a Bath, see? This usually would require from twenty to twenty-five minutes.

11. Each time following the Fume Bath, we would have an Epsom Salts Bath. The proportions would be about ten pounds of Epsom Salts to about twenty gallons of water. Let the water be as warm as the body can comfortably lie in, for ten to twenty minutes. This should be done each time immediately following the Fume Bath, see? that is, once a week - on the evening following the Osteopathic treatment of the same day.

12. After the Epsom Salts Bath, have a THOROUGH rubdown.

13. Also we would begin taking internally one minim of Atomidine in half a glass of water each morning before any meal, for a period of a week. Then leave off a week. Then take it for another week. Continue in this manner.

14. Then we would beware in the DIETS: Do not combine too much starches, nor too much of any of those things that will create too great a quantity of alcoholic reaction - such as candies with ANY of the starches; these produce that reaction with the system of the CHARACTER of fermentation that produces an alcoholic reaction in the system - which is disturbing to the system and especially with those properties of the Atomidine which we have indicated would be well for the body to take.

15. Do these as we find, and we should find a great improvement; not only a stopping but a correction, and the creating for the body of those near normal conditions.

16. Take all of these - the Baths, the Corrections - for a month. Then leave off for three weeks, and then take them another month. Don't stop because the body is improved, but keep these up until the causes of these disturbances are eliminated. And in three months of following these, we should find nearer normal conditions.

17. Ready for questions.

1315-7 Page 3

18. (Q) What is causing the pain in neck? (A) The general reaction through the system of the muscular forces not being properly adjusted. Hence the manipulative forces osteopathically for distribution, with the body relaxed; then the others taken for elimination or setting up of the better coordination in the respiratory and perspiratory system, and carrying same THROUGH the system with the properties (Atomidine) effective upon the glandular system.

19. (Q) Is it an arthritis condition? (A) As has been indicated, tending towards arthritic conditions.

20. (Q) What is the condition of my heart? (A) This is very good, considering the upsetting in the circulatory system. Hence the MANNER of the Bath; the Fume Bath rather than the heating of the body; and the activities of the saturated solution - or near saturated solution of Epsom Salts Bath following same. This should not be so hot as to cause inconvenience (the Epsom Bath) but a setting up of the respiratory reaction, rather than a raising of the activities.

21. (Q) Bladder? (A) Again a poor condition owing to the excesses attempting to be eliminated through the system.

22. (Q) Kidneys? (A) These all work together in the same manner and form. With the activities of these properties indicated we should find corrections in these directions. These are not involved in the circulatory forces of the body.

23. (Q) Teeth? (A) Local attention needed.

24. (Q) Why am I so nervous? (A) The incoordination between the superficial and the deeper circulation, as has been indicated in the whole of the disturbance in the body. Do those things as outlined and we will find ALL of these improving.

25. (Q) Does thyroid help my glands? (A) This would be very well, but FIRST they (the glands) must be cleansed in their activity; and as we find the taking of the properties in the manners as we have indicated here WOULD do this.

26. (Q) Is grape fruit alkali? (A) Grapefruit is in its reaction alkali, unless starches are taken at the same meal.

27. (Q) What causes pain in right ankle and left knee? (A) Circulation.

28. (Q) Any further advice?

1315-7 Page 4

(A) Do these things for this body in the present, but be consistent in same. And as we have indicated, it is necessary to be persistent; else we will find - later - by giving away, though the body may feel better - unless the condition is eliminated it WILL return.
